Goodtree Farmstead is an elegant and rustic Minnesota farm event and wedding venue in Northfield, just a short drive from the Twin Cities. The St. James Hotel is an official historic Minnesota wedding venue in the heart of downtown Red Wing, Minnesota. Nestled between the picturesque backdrop of the Mississippi River and Minnesota/Wisconsin countryside, the St. James is made up of five charming venues that can accommodate up to 240 wedding guests. As an all-inclusive venue, services include a dedicated Wedding Specialist, a pastry shop, ceremony and reception spaces, ready rooms, catering, room blocks for hotel events, and an on-site salon and a flower shop. The St. James is a boutique hotel with 67 Victorian styled guestrooms, an on-site restaurant and cocktail lounge.

In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Our ol' 10 acre charm farm dates back to before MN was a state in the abstract. It's been in Brady’s family since the summer of '69 and we plan to keep it that way for generations to come. The original family that homesteaded the property came from Czechoslovakia. They built the hand-hewn log cabin on a boulder foundation and owned it for 112 years. Brady grew up in the home since '87 which has transformed over time into the gem that we have today. We kickstarted our journey at GarageTown LLC with our wedding in August, 2021.
