“When it comes to Mark and his team, I don’t even know where to start. Everyone always said to me, “when you find the right photographer, you’ll know.” I had no idea what that meant, and browsed dozens of vendors- until my venue (The Inn at Millrace Pond) tagged This Insane Idea in one of their Instagram photos. We knew immediately that we had to book Mark. We went above our initial budget, and we felt confident doing so- I can tell you their prices are hugely fair and they deliver what they promise. We had an extremely helped Zoom call with Mark, and at first we’re very anxious because he was going to be sending two of his staff, Tom and Kristen because he personally was unavailable our date. He ensured that Tom came with him for our engagement session. I can tell you- there was absolutely ZERO reason for us to worry, and we knew this as soon as we met Mark and Tom. Mark and his team are truly artists, and can find beauty in the best of moments- I will never forget being crouched in my beautiful gown like Gollum, plowing my way through cocktail hour food in between photos- because they captured it. I love how they captured moments that were truly US, and how their portraits still managed to capture the many huge personalities of our families, friends, and us. They were excellent at communication, and made sure we were always in the loop. They walked us through our timeline in specific detail. And on the day of, as I was trying not to have a panic attack because we were running so behind (no fault of the photographers), Kristen and Tom more than kept it together, which made us feel so relaxed. They made sure to include a portrait of me and the ladies of my family where we were holding my mom’s wedding album, and I can’t tell you how much it meant to me. Even our detail photos were exceptional. I find myself looking at our photos frequently; reliving each moment they captured. We are so incredibly grateful to them for everything they did for us. I also wish I could express how important our engagement photos they took for us are to us. I weirdly am getting emotional writing this, because while you hire vendors and hope for the best- This Insane Idea gave us more than the best. I cannot recommend them enough!”
