Original element of the 1928 Armory construction and subsequent Newman Recreations Center were incorporated into the even space renovation to provide the perfect blend of past and present.Iron-barred doors used to secure armers and thick concrete walls reinforced with brick to accommodate the National Guard Armory and shooting range lend a rustic industrial aesthetic. Wood from the recreation center bleachers line the dramatic bar and the orginial hardwood floor was dressed up to grace the ballroom. Wedding events can take place at the following St. Joseph County Parks: St. Patrick's County Park, Ferrettie/Baugo Creek County Park, and Bendix Woods County Park Red Barn Package: St. Patrick's Farm is a historic barn built in 1925. Before becoming an event space, this barn was a dairy barn on St. Patrick’s Farm. The inside has been renovated, but the original barn doors, windows, and silos remain. The Pfeil Pavilion – a large, open-air shelter behind the Red Barn, is included. This space is perfect for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or even outdoor games. The Goodhew Gazebo is just a few steps away and is a popular spot to exchange vows. Other popular venues at St. Patrick's County Park include the Fragomeni Shelter, Covered Bridge/Grape Arbor, and/or the Manion Cabin. The Glenn Bauer Shelter and the STUDEBAKER trees at Bendix Woods County Park are popular for wedding ceremonies. Baugo Station at Ferrettie/Baugo Creek County Park is also a great option.

Aberdeen Manor is a one-stop shop for your wedding ceremony and reception. There is a garden and a chapel available for the ceremony located right next to the ballroom for the reception. Established in 1977, Matterhorn has become one of Elkhart’s most treasured and long-standing venues. The helpful staff can easily join the East, Oak, and West Rooms into a combination that best suits the desired needs and capacity. At the top of the grand staircase in the all-glass foyer, guests will find a tall corridor, flanked by two sets of massive, 12 foot turn-of-the-century doors, leading to a grand ballroom, complete with a show-stopping chandelier.

Constructed in 1871 by Bavarian immigrant Philip H. Zorn Jr., Barrelhouse The Venue resides on the historic Zorn campus. As an annex to the brewery, Barrelhouse The Venue would manufacture beer barrels to house fresh beer prior to distribution around Northwest Indiana. Though unoccupied now, the original ice-house, brew-house, and malting building still stand across the street, a reminder of the dream Philip Zorn brought with him to America.

The LEX 530 building was once the home of Pacemaker Trailer Co., one of the earliest RV companies in Elkhart. Sand Creek Country Club is a breathtaking Country Club wedding venue located in Chesterton, Indiana. This gorgeous Country Club provides couples with a truly memorable and private setting to celebrate their special journey into marriage. The Hopewell Barn is located about 1/2 mile south of the historic Hopewell Church. Built in 1872 and purchased by Deb in 2018, the church is listed on National Historic Register for its ties to Gene Stratton Porter. Gene was a famous author in the early 1900’s and the area of ‘Hopewell’ was used as the locale for the settings for several of her books. The name ‘Rustic Barn at Hopewell’ was selected to pay tribute to historic roots of the Hopewell area.

County Line Orchard provides elegance in a rustic setting for your special event or wedding. The Barn is a full-service private banquet facility and provides the perfect space for your next celebration.
