Our venue started as a music recording studio. We still have several studios that operate Monday through Friday. The event business was born out of people coming into the recording studios and asking if they could throw a party in our space and one thing led to another. Located at the south end of L.A.’s downtown Arts District, The Clara is a historic Art Deco bank, revived as a daylight photo studio and event space. Stunning features include its original bank vault from 1923, elegant 19’ ceilings with authentic pillar sculpture, and custom lighting installations by architectural designer, Brian Thoreen. This 4,300 square foot two-story venue is an ideal space for events, film & photo shoots, and art exhibitions.
