Originally built as a livery and then used as a cold-storage warehouse, Millwick has reinvented itself as a unique stand alone, super-loft open to private events, outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions, exhibitions and productions. It now boasts a flowing 7,000 square foot floor plan (4,500 sq ft interior + 2,500 sq ft garden courtyard) melding both interior and exterior areas. Millwick is an excellent event venue and wedding site for up to 175 people for ceremonies and receptions. Located in downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the Arts District, Millwick is convenient to many of the best new and historic hotels, restaurants and nightlife the city has to offer.

Our venue started as a music recording studio. We still have several studios that operate Monday through Friday. The event business was born out of people coming into the recording studios and asking if they could throw a party in our space and one thing led to another. We love hosting all different kinds of events from weddings, to parties, fundraisers, film shoots, and even the occasional small concert.

Once a 1980s smog-check center, SmogShoppe is now a 100% solar-powered, private 6,500 square foot indoor/outdoor haven for desert plants, vertical gardens and chic vintage furnishings. It all started when the founder of Bedhead Pajamas, Renee Claire Bertrand, and her husband, artist Lavi Daniel, discovered a historical art deco theater ( built-in 1948) near USC and decided to restore the gem back to its original glory which included reconstruction of the 23' bow truss ceiling!
