About this venue

Our venue started as a music recording studio. We still have several studios that operate Monday through Friday. The event business was born out of people coming into the recording studios and asking if they could throw a party in our space and one thing led to another. We love hosting all different kinds of events from weddings, to parties, fundraisers, film shoots, and even the occasional small concert.

All of our wall sconces and chandeliers are on dimmers to give the room a perfect ambient glow. We offer a high end drop down projector and screen for videos and montages. The room is equipped with a state of the art sound system which your DJ can plug right into for a fun night of dancing. The custom catering kitchen is right through the double doors, so your catering team can easily set up and serve your guests.

This space has an open floor plan with 2 beautifully decorated lounges. The parlous has a vintage, working piano and the other lounge has a gallery wall that our guests love.

    We finally had our wedding at Playa Studios in Aug 2021, postponed from Aug 2020 by the pandemic. It's a fantastic space with high ceilings and an industrial modern feel, plus a touch of whimsy via the art work. The main event space is basically a black box and you can create any theme/layout you'd like, but it's also nice enough to use as-is if you want to keep things simple (we kept things simple). This is an indoor only space, but we were ok with that. They do have some outdoor space at the entry, but it's minimal. We loved that it wasn't a traditional wedding-type venue (think hotel ballroom), and that they host a variety of other events as well. We also appreciated the flexibility to bring in our own caterer. The venue has an extensive kitchen space included in the rental. Highly recommend you see the space for yourselves. The photos don't do it justice. It was the last on our list before we started looking, yet nothing could compare once we had our visit.

    Playa Studios was amazing! They were kind, easy to communicate with, and very helpful in helping us execute our vision for our wedding. Our event was postponed due to the pandemic and they were lovely throughout that entire difficult process as well. Our wedding not only met our personal expectations, but our guests absolutely loved this unique venue; taking pictures against every wall and corner they could find. If you want a unique, show stopping wedding and reception for your guests, along with a pleasant planning experience, Playa Studios is your Place! We are so grateful, and may force our unborn children to have events here as well haha. Thanks Playa!

    Playa Studios is the ultimate wedding venue and acts as the perfect template for your big day. Tucked away at the end of a cul de sac, which keeps your event private to just you and your wedding guests, the venue is incredibly spacious with tall ceilings and tons of striking modern design elements that provide that initial "wow factor" right as you enter. We were also provided a list of modern furniture items that we could use for our layouts, including tables, chairs, couches and planters. The venue is incredibly spacious and provides ample room to be creative with your floor plan and inject any personal touches that you may want for your wedding. The Playa Studios team are true professionals, and they are incredibly easy to coordinate with. The venue is perfect for those who have specific food / drink / vendor choices in mind as well. While guests were in the foyer for cocktail hour, the team was able to seamlessly and silently flip the main hall from the ceremony to the reception while simultaneously working with our vendors to make sure everything was configured quickly and correctly. Given that Playa Studios is used also for commercials and concerts, the sound system installed throughout the venue is top-notch, and the lighting package is an incredible option as well. Music was loud and crisp in all parts of the venue throughout the night - even during the flip between ceremony and reception - and the lighting transformed the ceremony space into something that felt completely new for the reception. Overall, we were extremely thrilled with how our wedding turned out. We received nothing but positive feedback from our friends and family, with many compliments targeted towards how beautiful and modern the venue looked. Would highly recommend going with Playa Studios for your big day.
