He was able to mic up our officiant, guide the guests during our surprise scavenger hunt cocktail hour, he ran a super amusing Shoe Game (see pictures) and kept the formal dance with our parents short and sweet! Our venue was outdoors and we moved across the property over the evening, he came early to setup, and stayed late to say goodbye to us. Neither of us (the bride and groom) are big dancers, and we were worried our dance floor would be empty, but he played many hits that kept the guests happy and moving! He was truly a delight and even wore black, per my very annoying request :) He also had me get on the DJ board (just pretending) and it was a huge hit! Very fun, very adaptable! Summit Events Co. uses an app for all of your music and timeline needs and it was SUPER easy to use. It connects to Spotify, Youtube, and a few other platforms so I could just upload my playlists I had already worked on and it made everything really fast. We also got a photobooth which was AMAZING. It's hard to know when planning a wedding what is worth the extra cost but this hands down was worth it. Our attendant was such an angel and multiple people came up to me after to tell me how cool she was! Their pricing is super reasonable - very in line with other vendors I found and Ben was able to accommodate our specific budget while still making our vision come to life. We also had a ceremony guitarist and a saxophonist with tracks for the cocktail hour, which added great touches to the day. The uplights they brought for the room were priced very well and created a beautiful atmosphere. The music planning worksheet they provided was incredibly helpful, and they offered valuable advice on the timeline and flow of the reception, which was a huge help. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. “Having AMP Band for our wedding was an A Experience. For our wedding, we used the DJ/Band Entertainment for reception, along with the String Duo Violins for the ceremony. During the pre-wedding planning stage, Ana & Jimmy took the time to get to know us on a personal level and answered all of our questions quickly through emails and zooms. What I loved about the planning stage with them was their ability to incorporate our music suggestions, while also providing feedback on music through their expertise. On the wedding day, they absolutely crushed it!! During our wedding, it was a perfect mix of live and dj entertainment during our reception. They met all of our expectations music-wise and did a phenomenal job of playing music to all generations during the night. “Hiring Josh was a no-brainer. As a die-hard music lover (and an unapologetically picky one), finding a DJ who would actually listen to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding felt like a challenge. I gave him a very specific "do not play" list and a handful of "must plays," and not only did he execute it flawlessly—he live mixed and multiple times I found myself running up to him screaming YES, YESSSS. I may or may not have threatened, "If you play the Cha Cha Slide, you're fired," and he took it very seriously. All jokes aside, we danced til 3 am, and he worked within our budget to create an elevated audio experience that we and our guests absolutely loved. My only regret? That he can't DJ my entire life so I'd actually be motivated to do my chores.”
