Featuring two dressing rooms, two bathrooms with multiple stalls each, coat closet, prep kitchen with rear access, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, indoor and outdoor bars, outdoor deck, and 3 ceremony sites. Tables, chairs, buckets, barrels, rolling coolers, arrangements and more are included in all rentals. Every last detail has been planned, thought out, and created with the client in mind. ​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. The idea for a wedding venue began was a dream of their daughter, now Zimmerwald's Estate manager Katie Carpenter White. What began as a simple dream and a sketch on a piece of notebook paper, has now become a reality. We are extremely excited to be a place where beautiful family memories can be made and couples can begin their happily ever after!

Housed in the beautifully restored 1907 historic Cleveland County Courthouse, the Earl Scruggs Center offers a variety of services and spaces for all types of special events. The Great Hall at the Earl Scruggs Center can be rented for a variety of uses including meetings, workshops, retreats, holiday parties, class reunions, weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners, anniversary celebrations or whatever else you want to celebrate! The Emerald Woods is a beautiful historic venue in Western North Carolina hosting weddings, small personal retreats and private gatherings. Imagine getting married surrounded by forest on all sides, deer hidden in the woods and with the backdrop of a historic house that is hidden from view from the rest of the world. Your host, Lilly Bakken, purchased the property in August of 2020 and since then has renovated every room within the house and is now continuing to add to the landscaping with an abundance of flowering trees, hydrangea, dahlias and other perennials. Many outside seating areas have been added to the property, quiet little nooks for conversation and for guests to connect with each other.
