About this venue

Catalpa Grove Events is a 64-acre family-owned farm and event venue located in beautiful North Carolina, just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. We believe your event should be as unique as you are and our flexible spaces allow you to bring your vision to life against the beautiful backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Set amongst softly rolling hay fields, romantic glades, quiet forests, and mountains silhouetted in the distance, our venue is ideal for weddings, receptions, micro weddings, elopements, retreats, reunions, and more. Catalpa Grove Events is a venue for all and we are proud to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for joyful gatherings of all kinds.

Catalpa Grove

Celebrate Your Story, Your Way

Our peaceful catalpa grove sits atop a rise, a quiet forest on one side, sweeping views on the other. Two majestic catalpa trees stand in the center of the space, their trunks creating a natural altar. Sheltering branches stretch overhead, carpeting the space in sun-dappled shade. With seating for approximately 100 guests, the grove is a memorable spot for a ceremony or reception.

Our event field is the centerpiece of the property, featuring panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and farmland. Host your ceremony or reception in the open air against the backdrop of the mountains, or frame the space with a tent. The field is level and tightly mowed and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Pine Glade

Our intimate pine glade is earthy, romantic, and secluded, with a spectacular view of the sunset. Nestled in a pine forest, the glade offers an intimate space for elopements and micro weddings for up to 10 guests.

The Lounge

Celebrate Your Story, Your Way

Located just up the hill from the Catalpa Grove and Event Field, our lounge offers a comfortable and convenient space to prepare for your big event. The 700-square-foot space includes a lounge seating area, a kitchenette with fridge and freezer, a full bathroom, and a separate bedroom. With numerous mirrors and outlets, the lounge offers ample space for hair and make-up for your wedding party or other pre-event needs.
