About this venue

The Villa is a spacious estate home that can be used to celebrate your big day. Its spacious lawn and gardens can host events for groups up to 75 people. Rental of the Villa for an event includes the use of its outdoor spaces, plus numerous photo locations on the 85-acre property. We also include lodging in the five-bedroom Villa for up to 12 people, ceremony and reception furnishings, and day-of services. (We are there to support you through every step of your day!) We also have additional lodgings on the property in our treehouse cabins that can be rented as lodging. We love the opportunity to host family groups who use the whole property. It sets a totally different tone for the weekend when you have the extra time and space to be together for more than just the ceremony. This is the kind of experience that we specialize in. Let’s plan a weekend that has been personalized for your and your closest friends and family that everyone will remember for years to come.

I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding at Stony Woods. Kim & her husband are extremely helpful and attentive to our needs and made the entire weekend unforgettable. If you’re thinking of having your wedding here, definitely do!!! Amazing experience

Yes, but we require a bartender and proof of liability insurance. North Carolina requires a permit, but most licensed bartenders can handle this for you.

Yes. We have self-parking in our event lot, and, during most events, we will shuttle drivers up to the Villa to save them a small walk.

Yes. The Villa does not have steps to access the main area of the house (there are two bedrooms that are upstairs). There is a small threshold to enter the house. There are gravel paths through the garden to the lawn.

We also include lodging in the five-bedroom Villa for up to 12 people, ceremony and reception furnishings, and day-of services. (We are there to support you through every step of your day!) Event weekends at the Villa at Stony Woods Estate begin at $4000, depending on length of stay, time of year, and size of your group.clean up, tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware, and linens

As many days as you choose to rent. We do not offer a single day rental. Check in is at 4pm on the initial day of rental and check out is at 12pm. Most guests check in the day before they plan to set up and often allow an extra day ofter the event for a more relaxed departure.

We allow cancellation within 30 days of an event with a full refund, less a $250 administrative charge.

We are just under an hour from the Asheville airport. Transportation services will bring you to the location or rental cars are available at th airport.

We do require event liability insurance with a host liquor liability clause if any alcohol is available at the event. The cost is about $100 for most policies.
