This historic Japanese garden and summer cottage were built at the turn of the last century. A private estate spanning 125 acres of gardens, fields, streams, mountains and trails, it has remained in the same family all this time. The garden is recognized as an important example of the Japanese “strolling” garden from that era. Because the estate remains in private hands, it is made available by the family for special occasions on a limited basis (2-3 ceremonies per year) The venue includes the Japanese garden and the surrounding meadows and fields. If you are looking for a location for a formal wedding ceremony and reception or a destination wedding site for enjoyment with guests over a long weekend of fun, hiking, fly-fishing etc., this venue offers rare access to an exclusive, one-of-a-kind destination. We have partnered with the Frost Valley YMCA to provide lodging with hotel like accommodations and transportation for wedding parties to and from the estate.

There's something unique about being on a property that a family holds near and dear to their heart, and you can tell that thought and care is put into every detail and every space, honoring where they came from and embracing what's ahead. When I familiarized myself with the property upon arrival I was continuously met with various opportunities to take gorgeous portraits, and I used each of them to really tell the story of where we were and the wedding we were celebrating. The grounds are beautifully kept and the tented reception complimented the property perfectly.
