Auntie Viv's is an AAPI woman-owned & family operated small business adventure. When we visited Maui for the first time, and I fell in love at “first taste” with my very first Hawaiian shave ice. How I describe this phenomenon: “It literally was like a deliciously flavored, puffy cloud that instantly melted in my mouth & tasted like liquid gold. It was the best epicurean experience ever." I had my sights set on opening my own shave ice business & spending more time with my husband & two young daughters. I found myself being unhappy, working really long hours & it took a toll on my physical & mental health. Auntie Viv's opened Sept. 2017.

Driven by a lifelong love for the art of baking, my passion for cake-making ignites my soul. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I found solace and purpose in the kitchen, channeling my creativity into crafting delectable confections. My journey began with a formal education in culinary arts in 2001, followed by an exhilarating experience working at the 02' Winter Olympics. This exposure fueled my ambition to venture into the world of cake baking, where every ingredient tells a story, and every slice brings joy.

Joyce started Bake Sum in 2020 just in time for the pandemic making pastries and sweets that represent their upbringings. We love all things leavened, fluffy and delicious and utilize our skills as pastry chefs to bring you memorable pastries. We believe that pastries should be fun, beautiful, creative, and above all delicious. ​

Raised in Ukraine, I grew up loving the delectable European cakes my mother would bake from scratch. This experience cultivated my love for sweets and baking, and taught me to appreciate desserts that offer both exceptional flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

When I opened SF Candy Bar in 2012, the business was busy from the start. In 2012, the economy was just coming out of a recession and Silicon Valley started to attract top talent from all over the world. Experiential add on features, like our candy buffets, was fun at office parties, trade shows and holiday parties. Brides and Mitzvahs also found so much joy in our services. Fast forward to more than a decade later, we have added on more services from popcorn buffets, custom packaged party favors, and trail mix buffets. SF Candy Bar is dedicated to providing stunning buffet designs to guests at special events.

We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.

I really love cakes and desserts. Like, I REALLY love them! I have professional training in the tastiest pastry areas: from chocolates to caramels, classic to modern European cakes. The wedding dessert table is the happiest place in the world, and my aim is to provide that for your big day.

I started Sammycakes in 2014 with a simple ombré rosette cake. It’s always been a dream and passion of mine to open my own bakery, after being inspired by my mother always baking for special occasions when I was a kid.

Pastry Chef LikLing Khoo started baking at a young age spending time baking with her mom. Trained at California Culinary Academy, she also worked at the famed Tartine Bakery in San Francisco upon graduation in the 2000's. LikLing spent over 10 years working at different resorts, restaurants and bakeries in Vermont and New York honing her skills in all areas of baking and pastry arts. She owned and operated Baker's Dream in New York offering various baked goods and desserts.
