This club's ballroom is to die for. The natural light during cocktail hour and the in-house white up lighting made this a fairytale wedding. The event staff was exceptionally professional. I would get married again here if I could!

With everything going on with COVID-19, my fiance and I were super nervous about what would happen if we postponed our wedding or even if we had it with a smaller crowd. We had friends tell us that for their wedding at a different venue, they were still going to be charged the minimum amount even if there were only 50 people, I was so nervous about what was going to happen but then we got the call. Jennifer called us from Brides of Poplar Creek and assured us that they understood what was going on and that they would do whatever they could to accommodate us with what we decided to do. They allowed us to maintain our date for 2020 but then also offered to hold a date (at no cost) for 2021! My fiance and I hit the lotto with this place. Jennifer is up to date on the guidelines they are mandated to follow and continued to support us as we took our time deciding what we were going to do. We have finally decided to move our date and Jennifer drew up the new contract and got it to us in no time. Honestly, she made it so much easier for us to make this decision because it definitely was not easy. If you have not seen this venue in person, you need to go check it out. I am very picky and was looking for a place that did not have carpet. If you look at their old photos you see what the upstairs used to look like, it was beautiful but it had carpet. I was going to not even check out this venue but my mom saw that they updated their floors and now it is wood flooring. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Having both inside and outside ceremony options, you could not ask for a better place. I cannot wait to continue working with Jennifer and her crew as the countdown to our new wedding date continues. I will post a new review after our wedding happens next September. CHECK OUT BRIDGES OF POPLAR CREEK, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Rolling Green Country Club! From the moment we stepped in for our tour, we knew this was the perfect venue for our wedding. The stunning views and elegant spaces took our breath away! The Events Director was an absolute dream to work with. She listened to our ideas and made them come to life, providing invaluable suggestions along the way. On our big day, everything went off without a hitch. From start to finish, our experience with Canvas was a dream. We first met the team of Canvas in January of 2022 for our wedding in September 2023. Bergen swept us off our feet and won our hearts after our first phone call with her. After seeing the venue for the first time, we were completely blown away. There is no other reception space like it. During the event itself, everything flowed smoothly and was handled with ease. Truly could not say a single bad thing about them! The Armour House at Lake Forest Academy

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

I got married 1/25/20 (literally right before pandemic hit). Never did I image the process of planning would be so smooth and of course I prepared for at least 1 hiccup during the day. When I tell you EVERYTHING was perfect; it really was. Belvedere's team is the reason for this! From months leading up to my day, weeks, days, and hours; Jodi, Doro, and the rest of the team were great at getting back to all my questions and made me feel comfortable with all things wedding related. The tasting (3 months prior) was amazing and chef Alfredo made his presence, explained all choices, and this was the moment that getting married hit us! Let's not forget that doro was amazing at the tasting too! Although side note; I've worked with the belvedere team for 10+ years for corporate events so there were lots of jokes on why i even needed a tasting. :) fast forward to rehersal the day before, doro once again was a gem to have around. He calmed my nerves with a glass of chardonnay. :) day of the wedding jodi stuck around in my bridal suite and made sure my dress was perfect for my entrance, came down and watched a bit of the ceramony, hugged me afterwards, and made sure all was great before she made her exit. The bartenders were on point, food service was quick, hot and delicious, decorations were in ALL the right spots per my horrible instructions (they are great at figuring things out!) And I had nothing to worry about other than making sure I soaked up EVERY second with my new groom. Although I've known belvedere a long time and have had numerous events here (sometimes 6 or more a month) my wedding felt amazing and it was nothing like my corporate events. I also will let future brides know that you will be treated just as amazing! If you want a jaw dropping venue with bonus amazing staff that will treat you as if you're their most important customer (and even a friend) then you are in the right place. You will get all of these same treatments... it doesnt matter if you've known them for 10 years or it's your first meeting. They care about every person coming in their venue and want you to walk away knowing they have their $%*T together and you only have to focus on you!

Karen and Bruce were there on the big day handling all the logistics and helping everything run smoothly. They were extremely helpful making sure my husband and I could just focus on enjoying ourselves. I would definitely recommend Country Coach House to any couple looking for a rustic, charming venue with great staff for their wedding. We had our wedding 6/15/24 at the blue stem farms and events. When I say this venue is breathtaking, it has everything you’re looking for in a rustic style barn. I used Mission Hills country club for my wedding venue on November of 2022. I had 3 things that I needed covered at the venue; good food, cake, and parking. The venue took care of all 3. They have really good food! To this day I still have people talk about the food. I had a good variety of packages to choose from. I was even offered a really nice snack (after dinner) option which was really the cherry on top! I worked with Wanda, she had the best communication. She was also very clear about everything so we knew what we were getting. Overall I highly recommend Mission Hills Country Club.

We could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our day. Everyone at Nippersink was beyond kind and helpful on the day of and for the entire year leading up to the wedding. Jaclyn was a dream to work with. She answered all of my many questions and was so flexible and accommodating. She always responded very promptly and went above and beyond in answering any questions or requests. Paul, the owner, and his wife were equally helpful and kind. I loved how personable their entire family was. My now husband and I kept saying throughout the whole wedding planning process how lucky we were to find Nippersink. Some examples of how they went above and beyond: buying my favorite flavored water and Malibu to use as a signature drink, allowing us to add on an appetizer a week before the wedding, sending us pictures of all of the available decor to use (they have so many great options available!), giving us the nicest gift day of, being flexible in the rehearsal dinner timing, and allowing us to have our ceremony at the venue with only 4 months notice when our church fell through. Besides their family being the sweetest, they have created such a wonderful space! The new wooden tables and chairs are gorgeous, the hotel was just redone, the grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious. We have gotten SO many compliments from guests about how much they loved the venue and were told from a guest it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! We truthfully could not have had a better experience and we are so thankful to everyone at Nippersink on the Lake for that! Five stars just isn’t enough!

I loved my wedding, it was everything I could've wanted out of the venue. I had My ceremony (outside) & reception (inside) and it was such a wonderful time! I did the family-style menu and all the food was delicious. The reception area in the all seasons room was beautiful with the light globe. The bartenders and servers were very attentive and polite. All of our guests loved the food, the chocolate fountain, and of course the late-night bowling!! The communication with the venue was my main pain point as I was appointed multiple sales managers as it seemed like they were going through a management change. I thought it was odd that I talked with the sales manager for all of my communication regarding the wedding up until the day of I was assigned an event manager who I met 1 hour before my ceremony. The sales manager was still on property the day of but I thought it was weird I didn't receive any information that I would be working with someone else the day of. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a beautiful and fun place to get married!!

Our wedding weekend was everything we could have dreamed of, we have had multiple wedding guests say it was literally the best wedding they have ever attended. Sabrina our planner made the planning experience very efficient and meeting us where we were in the moments and providing every detail we needed. The venue was gorgeous, all the staff was wonderful, the atmosphere getting ready and leading up to the ceremony was everything we wanted, and THE FOOD was so so good. We recommend going with the cake vendor. We loved their selections so much they allowed us to have to cake flavors for our wedding. Everything was such great quality. We recommend a fall wedding if possible here. The grounds of the club are amazing for photos.

The actual reception space is gorgeous! Floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the patio coupled with aesthetically-pleasing ceiling lights and bar with all of the fixin's for that perfect cocktail will keep you and your guests more than satisfied throughout your reception. We can’t thank Fishermen's Inn enough for going above and beyond for our wedding. From start to finish, everyone was professional, kind, helpful, and excited right along with us. We looked forward to every meeting, and having Erin at the helm of the event gave me so much comfort. Patti, has done an incredible job of building something beautiful, and we appreciate all of the care she has put into her business - it shows! On our wedding day, from the moment I walked into the space, I felt like royalty. Erin did a great job of running the show, and Tara gets a special award for sprinting back up to the bridal suite when I forgot my bouquet for the ceremony! Everyone commented on how good the food was and made a point to mention how incredible the staff & service was throughout the whole night. Jon is incredible at what he does managing the bar. He helped wrap everything up at the end of the evening, helped coordinate space for our last dance together, helped us pack up, and saw us off at the end of the night. Our only sadness is that we don’t get to do it again! Now we need to try to snag an invite to a Fishermen’s Inn wedding so we can go back for a visit! This rang true through every single phone call and email we had during our wedding planning, all the way through being onsite for our wedding week. Amelia is friendly, approachable, a great listener, accommodating, timely, and hospitable to name just a few. We genuinely felt like she cared about the success of our wedding, and the experience that our guests were going to have. She went as far as working with the reservations team to ensure we got a suite that was previously reserved when it opened up, customizing our wedding block to fit our guests’ needs, helping ensure guest welcome bags were distributed, and welcoming us for our stay with a gift basket note. We truly believe we would have ended up having our wedding elsewhere if I hadn’t tracked her down last November. Similar to Amelia - from the first time we connected with Jonathan to start planning our wedding, we knew we had something unique in our venue team, and felt confident we’d be in great hands throughout the process. Jonathan always responded to our frequent emails in an extremely timely manner – often right away even when we told him to wait until business hours – and it often felt like he was one step ahead of us. He was extremely helpful with providing his industry expertise, guiding our decision making based on previous experience with weddings / large events, and felt confident that he ultimately had our best interests in mind. He helped us incorporate unique components / details to our wedding that our guests are still talking about, and gave us the sweetest welcome package in our suite! (And recommended we book a great secluded suite!) Jonathan somehow was able to accommodate all of our requests in some way or another, and always made us feel like he was so personally invested. We never could have imagined working with someone so responsive, flexible, detail-oriented, and somehow as passionate about our wedding as we were. His organizational and coordination skills shined exceptionally throughout the last 10 months – even the day after the wedding he was helping us move things out of the ballroom and transferring flowers to brunch. He was truly there every step of the way. We have not been able to stop raving about both Jonathan and Amelia to anyone who asks, and can confidently say we don’t have any negative feedback to share about our experience. Our guests have been the same way and have all been positively commenting on their whole experience. Any challenges that came up throughout our process were always met with solutions, a clear path forward, and their team going above and beyond. Jonathan and Amelia were even there to see us out the Monday after our wedding as we departed, and made not only us but also our parents feel like family. Truly everyone from check-in, Greg at valet, and restaurant spa staff, to the catering events teams and management being open to our ever changing requests ( and keeping up with our large group size) – everyone was so accommodating to work with. We cannot say more positive things about the staff, venue, and our experience!

The Grand Oaks Pavillion was one of the most beautiful reception spaces I have seen. The staff’s attention and care from the first consult to the final day was exceptional. We had Ravi do the catering for my daughter's wedding, which was at The Old Post Office in 2022. The tasting we had was fantastic, as a result we ended up offering more varieties of appetizers than originally planned, they were all amazing! The dinner options we chose were over the top! In addition my daughter wanted a dessert that wasn't on Ravi's menu, but he made it happen for her. Fast forward to 2024, my daughter is expecting and I was beginning to plan a baby shower for her. I called Ravi and found out he had become the caterer of choice for The Oak Brook Manor. Ravi bent over backwards to give my daughter the perfect baby shower. The facility is beautiful, and of course the food outstanding! We had 40 people, some of the choices of food we had were the siracha chicken, which everyone loved & my favorite!!! Swedish meatballs, not one was left over. Pulled pork, amazing. Mac & cheese, loved it! Vegetarian pasta salad, a big hit. Our guests went back for 2nds & 3rds and everyone loved it. I would, without a doubt, recommend Ravi. His food choices and quality go above and beyond. The venue itself is perfect. I would use Ravi in a heartbeat and know that he would be providing the best ingredients, service, location, and on-hand help/experience!!!

Let me start with this, one of my friend’s is a retired wedding/event coordinator and she said she’s never seen a team as good as the MBR team in her 20 years. The atrium is a beautiful ceremony location, the ballroom is classy and perfect for a wedding bash, their vendors are excellent, and they are just a well oiled machine. They take great notes throughout the process and check in with you, their software platform makes it easy and I just can’t say enough good things about the day of. I had someone constantly checking in to see if I needed something to drink or food, etc. We went down the street for pics and a coordinator came with us and made sure we had water when we got back. 100/10 rating. Also, so many photo opps near the venue.

Seven Bridges was an outstanding wedding venue that made planning and day of a breeze! From the very beginning, Roisin was extremely flexible and made sure we knew she was always available for questions. She was always super fast to respond and eager to provide guidance. We chose the venue because we were excited to work with her and the packages (especially the higher ones) included so many details I didn’t want to have to worry about. Additionally, they have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space with ways to personalize and a backup space that would allow for a beautiful ceremony if bad weather happened. Also very important, they would have allowed my dog to be present had she been able to make it. There is only one wedding happening at a time and the ceremony space was very quiet, despite the golf course still being open. I did not have a planner but did not ever feel like I needed one. Roisin gave a list early on and while overwhelming at first look, I was able to chip away at it for 18 months. Leading up to the wedding, the venue coordinated with vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. While Roisin was not present the day of, there was an event manager, Jen, who helped to ensure everything went off without a hitch and any problems were handled immediately. The food was excellent and the bartenders were wonderful and so friendly. All the staff the day of were outstanding. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Seven Bridges.

I literally could write for an hour or two and still not be able to tell you everything that was so wonderful about working with WSE. They were well organized, available, kind, and definitely make you feel like family. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and photographs very well. We took advantage of the recent upgrades to Alpha and it was a fantastic space; big enough to comfortably accommodate our 150-ish guests, décor, dance floor, buffets, memory table, etc, but still felt intimate. They coordinated well with our outside vendors and I appreciated that we weren’t limited in our vendor selection. They made a lot of things just work without stressing us out at all. The setup for my caterers/servers was excellent and accommodating. The Romeo suite was so much fun for the groomsfolk, but the Juliet suite was an AMAZING amenity. The salon chairs and backlit mirrors were so convenient for my HMUA. The suite was comfortable and roomy despite the zillion people I had coming in and out. The full kitchen (particularly the full size fridge/freezer) was super nice to have. We had our ceremony on the west lawn, which was absolutely beautiful. They also were very enthusiastic and accommodating about letting us get some photos with our dogs and incorporating them into the ceremony. One of the most notable things, though, was how well they handled adapting to my and my guests’ mobility needs. Several of my older family members use walkers and were worried about the walking or the grass and they all felt very accommodated and cared for and were able to enjoy the day. I myself have a disability that affects my ability to walk and stand for very long; this was no problem for them. They shortened the aisle for my ceremony, knew exactly how to create a beautiful ceremony where both we and our wedding party were seated, and they put a lot of mileage on those golf carts getting me and my family where we needed to be safely and comfortably. I cannot recommend White Stone strongly enough and I would have every event there if I could.
