I’ve been happily married for almost 27 years. I have three awesome sons. My parakeets Kiwi and Sparky are very social, meaning very loud! Champagne (maybe that’s why I love weddings) and sushi lover here! Photography has been my passion ever since my dad gave me my first film camera and introduced me to the dark room at age of 10. I lived in Japan for 12 years, and even performed on a stage there. I’m always up for a great road trip! I love tuna fishing. I love hats and want to wear them everyday (over 20 hats in my collection). I’ve been shooting beautiful weddings for almost 10 years. I secretly cry at every wedding.

Irina from Carlsbad Photo was an exceptional wedding photographer. Despite having to change our plans due to travel restrictions, Irina captured every moment flawlessly. She arrived early, helped organize our dressing room, and was great with our daughters. The photos she took, including our first touch, still bring tears to our eyes. Irina expertly captured all the fun and dances, as well as our crazy families. Highly recommended!

I’m here to capture nostalgic memories and help you remember the emotions behind the photos. I love capturing those truly candid moments. The kind of photos that put you right back in the moment five, ten, fifty years later. I'm a Southern California based photographer that will travel wherever you want to document your love! I'm constantly exploring with laid-back couples that want to capture genuine moments about their relationship. When I'm not taking pictures, you can usually find me hanging out with my loved ones, hiking, watching sitcoms, or taking a spontaneous trip.

Awarded Best of Zola
I'm not even sure where to begin! We met Emily in 2022, when my now husband and I got engaged in the Outer Banks. Leading up to our engagement shoot, we were both anxious expecting to feel uncomfortable and out of place in front of a professional camera lens for the first time. After meeting Emily, that awkwardness lasted about 2 minutes flat, and soon found ourselves not only feeling comfortable, but truly having a blast with it. Between changing locations, we grabbed coffee and bagels where we spent time chatting and getting to know Emily, discovering many similarities between our families, talking about our dogs and so much more. While shooting at our second location, a gorgeous botanical garden none of us had ever been to, it truly felt as if we were just there to explore and that Emily was our childhood friend who happened to just have a camera with her taking photos and not at all that we had just met her earlier that morning. By the end of our day together, before even seeing a single photo from our shoot, we were already discussing flying her out to NY to shoot our wedding and months later, the minute we decided on a date, we hired Emily again. Working with Emily to plan our photography portion of the wedding was truly the easiest part of the entire wedding planning process for us. She was extremely helpful and organized, asking questions, giving suggestions and creating a detailed timeline based on what was important to us, but what stood out the most was that she was genuinely passionate about making the day as enjoyable for us as possible. She showed us this by going above and beyond in ways such as offering help and resources completely unrelated to photography, doing her own research, creating polls on her social media platforms to help answer our questions, reaching out to her own personal contacts, sending helpful questionnaires, answering late night texts and emails and beyond. Our calls with her always put me at ease during such a hectic time and turned my anxiety into excitement. Leading up to our wedding, Emily continued to often reach out just to simply check on us and see if she could offer a helping hand (beyond the million ways she already had) which stood out immensely to us. The day of our wedding, having Emily with us was truly like having a lifelong friend there to get ready together. Something so special about her is the way she has mastered the balance between bringing a presence of excitement and a sense of calming to the day. She is able to get the photos necessary without an overbearing energy which many of our friends and family observed as well, mentioning how they wish their own wedding photographers were more like her. We received much praise from our families and friends but also our other vendors as well, for how well she worked with them and how kind and easy it was to spend the day with her. She was not just our photographer, she was a pillar of our day. When you hire Emily, you are really hiring a passionate, down to earth, genuine and professional person who happens to also be an incredibly talented photographer. Sharing two of the most special moments of our lives so far with Emily has been such a blessing. We are so excited to continue to hire Emily for all of our next chapters in life. She has become a dear friend of ours and love any reason to work with her we can get! You will not regret hiring her!

Lauren came out to Utah to shoot my wedding and the overall experience was perfect. She was so easy/fun to work with and made being in front of the camera enjoyable. She even stayed longer to take some of my favorite pictures, from the after party. The wedding pictures came out better than I could imagined and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to be out photographer. Highly, highly recommended!

Hi there! I'm Khoa, a San Diego based wedding photographer who enjoys spending time with good people and road trips. I love all things weddings because witnessing couples' happiness brings me joy and fuels my creativity. I want to create photographs that can stand the test of time so couples can relive their day years from now and for generations to come.

We worked with Khoa for our wedding ceremony and reception and it was everything we wished for and more! As photographers ourselves, it takes a lot of trust to feel comfortable with another person doing the job. Khoa not only met our expectations but exceeded them and we recommend him highly to everyone. Not only did he make us feel so at ease, but he was so kind, patient, and professional. Khoa helped make our wedding day so effortless and we thank him greatly for that. From the minute he arrived, myself, my husband, and all of our loved ones felt so comfortable with Khoa. Thank you, Khoa, for everything - your professionalism, patience, great direction, photography knowledge, kindness, we could go on and on! We look forward to working with Khoa in the future. Don’t hesitate to find any other photographer – Khoa is THE ONE!

I love telling the messy, beautiful stories of life and each person’s own unique experience being human. I'm a people-person to my core and I thrive on creating a space where you can feel free to be your incredible self. I want us to know each other as real people, not just as commitments on each other’s calendars. Let's be friends and make photos that are lovely and messy and true. This is an inclusive, anti-racist space for all humans, all love, and all body-types. You, your love, and your story are welcome here. Come as you are.

Brittany was amazing to work with from our very first interaction until receiving our full album; even afterwords she continued to help us by answering questions about which types of print to order for our home. We were really drawn to her candid style of photography and outgoing personality. From the first email she was genuine and personable, making us feel extremely comfortable and excited for the process. Brittany spent a great deal of time getting to know us and what we were really looking for from our wedding photos. When the day came, we both felt relaxed and ready to have fun. It felt like we had a close friend taking our photos and not some random person. I would highly recommend working with Brittany, we look forward to continuing to work with her for future family photos!

I was raised in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California. I was drawn to photography in middle school and would enter photos of our family pets or family backpacking trips in our local county fair. My passion for photography grew while working as a hiking guide in Yosemite National Park. I mean… who wouldn’t want a stunning photo of Half Dome? El Capitan? Yosemite Falls? But it has been photographing wedding and couples that I find the most fun and rewarding. I have found loving hearts, wild souls, and adventurous spirits to be my people. I strive to visually capture the “spirit” of my subjects and record an emotional memory of the occasion.

Awarded Best of Zola
I have had the unique pleasure of working with Katie both behind the camera and being in front of hers! She is an incredibly talented photographer and an absolute joy to work with. She is so fun to adventure with during the session and made it so easy for my Husband and I to feel comfortable in front of her camera! She was able to capture our love easily and perfectly! I have also loved working with her as a fellow photographer. She is very professional, great at working with many brides and grooms and their guests, and has a wonderfully creative eye! I can't wait to work with her again!

Hey there! I'm Linda. San Diego wedding and portrait photographer. I've been photographing weddings for 5 years and have loved every minute of it. I'd love to chat with you and share how I can help you get the best possible images on your special day while giving you a great experience.

Awarded Best of Zola
I found Linda when I Googled "San Diego Courthouse Weddings". An article came up on why you should have a courthouse wedding, featuring some very simple yet amazing photos Linda captured of a Courthouse Wedding. I contacted her and she called me back the same day. She was inquisitive and asked me what I liked about that shoot and took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for. She strives for excellence and wants nothing more but to delight her clients. She became my mini Wedding planner by offering recommendations for services I needed. I asked her for these referrals and we went with the officiant and videographer she recommended. She provided several recommendations and I needed all the help I could get. She was like a sister and didn't make it about the money. Although, she is worth every dollar and more. She made sure to ask me to make a list of all the group photos I wanted, she didn't want to miss one photo opportunity that was important to me. She is so dedicated and visited our wedding site venue, prior to our wedding date, to assess for the best locations on the grounds and lighting during the time our wedding would take place so she could capture the best portraits. On the day of the wedding, she was of course early and checked in with me at the Bridal Suite to say hello and let me know she was there. After the shoot, she checked in with me, sent the previews before the time she promised and made sure I was completely satisfied. We are extremely happy with our photos and so thankful she was part of our special day.

I am a full-time wedding photographer based in San Diego and first things first, I want you to know your wedding is a huge deal to me. As your wedding photographer, I'm your ultimate third-well and your right-hand-woman. I’m like your bridesmaid / groomslady with a camera. More than just a hired vendor, I’ll be your cheerleader, encourager, organizer, drink-getter, and the gal screaming “YAYYYY" because I’m so excited about the awesome photos we’re creating together. With the experience, knowledge, and expertise of photographing nearly 300 weddings, I am here with you every step of the way. Can’t wait to be along this journey with you!!!

Stop looking for photographers - you’ve found the best one!! Here’s why: 1. She’s a tremendously talented photographer. Kami does her research, keeps you relaxed/comfortable, and is super creative. She was extremely prepared for our engagement shoot and on our wedding day and achieved amazing results (look at her albums). On our wedding day, she positioned herself thoughtfully, and respectfully. 2. Kami is a true professional, super fun and keeps it light. She brings amazingly positive energy, is fun to be around (an absolute bundle of joy) and has a higher level of emotional intelligence than anyone we know. She made us so comfortable in our pictures which reflected in how much we loved how they turned out. 3. Kami is a leader in both her field and as a person. If you could create a perfect photographer (and person) to go through a pandemic with, it would be her. Throughout some of the most difficult times of the COVID-19 crisis, she was calm, empathetic and so committed to making sure we were doing well, even when we had to reschedule, etc. We talked to her multiple times about our situation and she not only made us feel better afterwards, but feel on top of the world. She was with us at the worst moments and of course at the best (our 7 person wedding). Take a second to reflect on the impact that the COVID-19 crisis had on photographers. 4. Kami is a great communicator. Always proactive, respectful, and timely You learn a little bit about a person during the good times, but you truly learn about a person through the worst of times. We’ve known Kami over the last 1.5 years including through the COVID-19 pandemic and have learned about how she is an amazing photographer (again look at her albums!!), but more importantly an amazing person. She will be with you through it all. Congratulations on finding your photographer (and likely a great friend)!

INQUIRE ON MY WEBSITE! I've been doing this for 8 years now, & it really does get better with time. There are countless memories of laughter, holding back tears (mostly happy ones), surprises, & moments that my heart didn't see coming. The opportunity to meet couples that become friends is something I will always feel blessed to have. I love building that connection as much as possible! You two together is your own little piece of art. At least that’s how I see it! So with that being said, I don’t want to try & copy someone else’s art. How you interact together should be captured purely.

We loved working with Emma & give her our full recommendation. I spent a long time trying to find someone who fit within our budget and had a warm, romantic editing style. Emma nailed it. She took our engagement and wedding photos in Palm Springs, CA and we couldn't be more in love. We just got our wedding day sneak peeks back (within a week of our day) and completely adore what she captured. We are so excited to see the rest so we can relive our day over and over again.

Shaun Baker Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,995
  • Serves Campo, CA

Shaun Baker is San Diego’s Premier Wedding Photographer. Shaun grew up studying film/television and the art of story telling. “I love people and I am fascinated by the way we interact. I love the stories that each of us carry around. That’s what makes us all great. I have a need to capture the individuals raw emotions and give it back in a beautiful way. “When the camera is in my hand, normalcy is the furthest thing from my mind. It is normal for me to be in a tree, on a rooftop, or laying on the ground during a wedding so I am always in the best position to get the most creative shot possible. I'm always striving to exceed expectations.

Awarded Best of Zola
My family has always cherished photos, so I placed a lot of importance on hiring an ace-level photographer for our wedding. And the first time I came across Shaun’s photos online I literally gasped out loud at his stunning work. He truly captured the couples’ and guests’ emotions—and he did the same for ours. Shaun and his partner Annie, of course, took the pre-planned photos we had asked for, but the joy was in the unstaged moments they captured. The photos of our mothers hugging with tears in their eyes, of my grandma dancing and whooping with my friends at the reception, of my now-husband kissing my forehead during our first dance…. they captured moments and emotions we didn’t see or realize were happening that day the first time around, and their work is priceless to us. They put our families at ease with their humor and professionalism, and it was fun to watch them come up with creative ways to capture moments, but it never felt intrusive. Shaun and Annie also completed our photo editing in a fraction of the time that was agreed to in the contract, and sweetened the (short) waiting period with a handful of sneak-peek photos, as well as a 10 minute video slideshow of some of the best photos set to music. It was a lovely way to share memories of the day with friends and family who couldn’t make it and wanted to feel a part of the event. We would recommend them to anyone.

We’re a married photography team serving fun, non-traditional, & heart-centered couples all over SoCal & beyond! We describe our style as vibrant & romantic: capturing & creating as much laughter & joy as possible, while also always guiding our couples to focus on each other to create genuine memories to look back on in their photos. We believe ALL people in love deserve the most beautiful celebration that truly represents & honors their relationship. We believe in planning your wedding the way YOU want it, a wedding that will reflect and celebrate who you uniquely are as a couple - and we're here to help you do that.

Miranda was referred to us by good friends of ours. I saw their engagement shoot pictures and they were all amazing. Miranda has the ability to make even the most akward/camera shy (aka me) feel so comfortable and have it not translate in the photos. She has a great editing style, I didn't want to overly bright washed out look. Our pictures were rich with color, and just moody enough. After our engagement shoot and being very happy with the photos we booked Miranda for our wedding. Fast forward to March 2021 and our original venue extending their closure, we ended up re-planning our wedding in 3 weeks. Miranda was kind enough to create a special package to accommodate our short micro wedding. All of our pictures turned out amazing! Highly recommend Miranda for any photography needs.

Freshly landed from Paris, France. Christophe has been a travel photographer for the past ten years and decided to expand his creative horizons toward white dresses and bow ties here in California. His European touch will definitely bring something special to your wedding day.

Due to COVID, our wedding was postponed twice and ultimately cancelled. During each postponement, Willmus Weddings was still able to work with us. Ultimately the wedding was cancelled last minute due to the current restrictions and the fact that we were moving out of state in the next few months. The USS Midway was able to accommodate us to take the photos on the ship and even provided a beautiful intimate ceremony on the ship. Christophe and his videographer were there to capture this absolutely spectacular day. His professionalism along with his AMAZING talent could never go unnoticed. Thank you Christophe for helping create and capture the best memories and day of our lives! We are so grateful and thankful for you!!!

I fell in love with photography in high school and studied photojournalism in college. Before my wedding photography days, I honed my craft taking portraits – and chasing down breaking news stories for newspapers in my home state of Texas. I’m still a photojournalist at heart; telling your story is the soul of my work. I spend my free time outdoors as much as possible: hiking in the Laguna Mountains, camping in Joshua Tree, swimming at La Jolla Cove, sailing to Catalina Island.

Awarded Best of Zola
Nick has been just fantastic to work with. We had met with him back in the summer of 2019 to discuss and had planned for our wedding for May 2020. Of course we had to pivot and change plans due to COVID, which unfortunately included pushing the date to August (who knew COVID would linger on for so long...). He has been nothing but flexible and understanding throughout the whole process. Working with him on the day of the wedding was seamless - he is a true professional who clearly knows what he is doing. Neither I nor my husband (!!) are too comfortable in front of the camera, but the direction and guidance Nick provided for us made the whole photo-taking experience so much easier and fun! We were also expecting our photos months after our wedding, but they arrived extremely fast! The quality of the photos is just as praise-worthy as Nick's professionalism. The photos are absolutely fantastic and are just perfect. We could not have picked a better photographer to capture this special day for us. 11/10 Recommend!!! If you are reading this and you pick another photographer - YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!

Deep down most of us want more then just a pretty picture to look back on, but rather images that put the butterflies back in your stomach and make you feel like you are back in your dress again.

Teresa is AMAZING!! Our photos are absolutely beautiful! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her for our wedding. She is so talented, easy to work with, and captured our dream day so effortlessly.

Naiya Ross Photography is a wedding photography business operating out of Escondido, California. Previously working in photojournalism, I have a keen eye for capturing the candid moments of authentic emotion that reveal themselves throughout every once-in-a-lifetime celebration. I try to put passionate and creativity into every project that I take on, I strive to craft stress-free photography experiences and images that reflect each couple’s one-of-a-kind romantic bond.

As two introverts getting married, we needed a photographer that would make us feel at ease, forget we even had staff on our day of, but also had a good hand in dealing with guests who liked to get involved in the vendors' craft. Naiya's skillful and gorgeous photos speak for themselves. We really loved working with her not only for our engagement photo session, but also the day of!!! Due to some unforseen emergency family matters, our photos were a bit late. We wish she would have given a bit more proactive communication regarding this. However, the final product was worth the wait!

My name is Adrian Burlaza, I was first introduced into photography in 2008 when I took an intro black & white photo course. I instantly fell in love with taking images with my camera and seeing them come to life by my own hands (literally, in the dark room). From that point I committed myself to this craft of image-making and scoured the internet, learning everything from nerdy equipment specs to creative techniques.

I can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Adrian! His photos are stunning and he is so incredibly nice. My husband and I both feel a little awkward in front of the camera and Adrian gave great instructions and put us at ease. He also captured so many small sweet moments, and really got the feel of our ceremony across. He got our photos back to us super fast too, overall a really amazing experience!

Hi, I'm Alexx! I grew up in San Diego and went to school in Malibu to study media production & math (I know, weird combo). Since then, I've lived in both Point Loma in SD and in West LA, so I'm always popping around all of SoCal! I absolutely adore weddings for the love, celebration, joy, and romance, so I want to make sure those are your main feelings throughout the day! What that means is I will always remain a calm presence in the chaos to help keep you grounded, but also blend into the background to give you space to just experience your day!

I don't even know where to begin. Alexx was hands down the best photographer we could have asked for. From the start she was supper communicative and within a day of inquiry, we had set up a time to chat and get acquainted. She is incredibly professional, but still super personable! We had so much fun with her at our engagement shoot, and the photos were INCREDIBLE. Her style is so organic and she makes you feel very comfortable from the start. She gave us so many tips leading up to the wedding about what to have ready for her and at what time, while still being super flexible with us if we needed to adapt. Day of with her was a breeze, too! She lead us through all of our photos and we wrapped up family photos quickly enough thanks to her that we were able to spend more time with our guests/family before the reception which was amazing! She had our previews to us within a few days and we are OBSESSED with every photo!! We cannot wait to see the full gallery :) Thank you so much for everything, Alexx!!!

Hi loves! I’m Amanda, a San Diego based traveling photographer devoted to documenting romantic wedding moments and preserving the essence of the big day with imagery. I absolutely love having fun with my couples and getting them comfortable in being exactly who they are to capture in images! I have been a photographer for 10+ years and have fallen in love with being the person who showcases a couple’s love through creative imagery. I’ll be your biggest hype man, get you laughing with your partner and capture every emotional moment that should never be forgotten!

Amanda and KC were amazing! My fiancé and I were hesitant to take engagement photos at all—we are both awkward and don’t pose well for photos. Amanda and KC were very relaxed, casual and FUN! They made us laugh the entire time and everything felt so easy & comfortable. AND THE PICTURES ARE BEAUTIFUL! First, we don’t look awkward (big win). And second, the settings/backdrops/lighting they chose were exactly what we were looking for. Great experience and would highly recommend for anyone looking for engagement photos.

Shilpa was absolutely amazing to work with! We hired her pretty close to our wedding date and she helped us so much on all the questions we had and met with us in person to go over all the small and important details and was able to accommodate to anything we needed and wanted to be done. She was able to capture every single important moment we wanted and more! The pictures came out so beautiful, vibrant and just perfectly edited to enhance the beautiful moments. She is very creative and shoots tons of different beautiful, fun poses and spots. She’s a very hard worker and she made everyone feel really comfortable and we had a great time taking fun pictures with our wedding guests! We would recommend her to anyone! The next time we need a photographer for anything we’re calling her! :)

I got into the photography business back in 2016 because of people just like you – who want to enjoy an unforgettable experience and to remember it in a unique way. You’re why I put a creative spin on typical photographs – and create astonishing works of art. So that you’ll not only remember the past but have something extraordinary to share with the future. Because your photos are bigger than you. They are your legacy. And that deserves to be documented beautifully.

Rey Benasfre Photography was a joy to work with from start to finish. Their communication style was clear, courteous, and polite, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was nothing short of awestruck - their creative, mesmerizing, and elegant photos captured the beauty and magic of our special day effortlessly. Rey and his team knew exactly how to set up and seamlessly capture all the moments that made our wedding day so memorable. Compared to most photographers, Rey combines artistic, elegant, photojournalistic and editorial styles to deliver truly stunning results. We are overjoyed with the photos and couldn't recommend Rey Benasfre Photography more highly.
