I’m here to capture nostalgic memories and help you remember the emotions behind the photos. I love capturing those truly candid moments. The kind of photos that put you right back in the moment five, ten, fifty years later. I'm a Southern California based photographer that will travel wherever you want to document your love! I'm constantly exploring with laid-back couples that want to capture genuine moments about their relationship. When I'm not taking pictures, you can usually find me hanging out with my loved ones, hiking, watching sitcoms, or taking a spontaneous trip.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emily’s photography portfolio and aesthetic captured my attention, I just knew that my husband and I had to work with her. She captured our love, laughter, and happiness so beautifully. She made us feel comfortable and the session felt effortless, which I was worried about since we’ve never had professional photos taken before. She’s magical, please please work with her! You won’t be disappointed!

Khoa Photography

Hi there! I'm Khoa, a San Diego based wedding photographer who enjoys spending time with good people and road trips. I love all things weddings because witnessing couples' happiness brings me joy and fuels my creativity. I want to create photographs that can stand the test of time so couples can relive their day years from now and for generations to come.

Khoa was our wedding photographer from getting ready until the end of the night and we had an amazing experience with him the entire time! He is incredibly sweet and easy to work with, and made us feel very comfortable from the get-go. He was very thoughtful and thorough in using all aspects of our venue to provide amazing photos capturing the whole day. He worked very efficiently with us leading up to the ceremony to get us photos while still keeping us hidden away from our arriving guests, and then, during the ceremony and reception, he was amazingly unobtrusive but still able to capture all the great moments of our night! Khoa sent us a few preliminary photos which were all so perfect for personalizing our thank you cards. Once we got the full complement of photos from him we were blown away by the quality, editing, and energy he was able to capture from our wedding day. He is immensely generous with the number of photos he provides, and we have to stress that he somehow manages to deliver on both quantity AND quality. He is also very talented in composition and there were more than several photos that we never noticed him getting - everything perfectly captured the energy and feeling of the day and felt like we were reliving it again. Overall he feels like the complete package and we recommend him without hesitation!!!

I’ve been happily married for almost 27 years. I have three awesome sons. My parakeets Kiwi and Sparky are very social, meaning very loud! Champagne (maybe that’s why I love weddings) and sushi lover here! Photography has been my passion ever since my dad gave me my first film camera and introduced me to the dark room at age of 10. I lived in Japan for 12 years, and even performed on a stage there. I’m always up for a great road trip! I love tuna fishing. I love hats and want to wear them everyday (over 20 hats in my collection). I’ve been shooting beautiful weddings for almost 10 years. I secretly cry at every wedding.

Irina is an awesome and experienced photographer which is helpful when you have no idea what to expect on your wedding day. She works with you and your coordinator to make sure you get the shots you want. She even recommended some based on previous weddings she did at our venue. The planning process was straightforward and her rates were reasonable. On the day of the wedding she helped us get ready and reassured us that everything would be okay. She never stopped taking pictures and captured some wonderful moments throughout the night. We anxiously awaited our photos and they turned out better than we expected. She did a wonderful job capturing all the important memories. All of the pictures were gorgeous and she really made you feel special. We definitely recommend her to anyone getting married in the Carlsbad area!

Hey there! Welcome! My name is Taylor- I am so glad you’re here! I am a documentary photographer based in the West Coast. I LIVE for capturing your love! You and your love story are anything but typical, and I strive to document that in the most candid and authentic way. My style is candid, documentary with a sprinkle of editorial. I want you to be YOURSELVES so I can help tell your true story. You've got incredible style, an amazing personality, and captivating energy that's impossible to ignore. So why should you settle for photos that don't reflect that? You deserve photos that celebrate your most alive and authentic selves!

Awarded Best of Zola
Taylor hopped on to shoot our wedding the night before after our photographer unexpectedly couldn’t make it - and boy are we lucky that she did! Her photos are beautiful, her attention to detail (I love me some detail shots!) was wonderful, and her kindness made the awkwardness of posing for pictures feel natural! She edited super quickly, was very responsive afterwards, and provided us with several sneak peaks the very next day. My husband and I are thrilled to see the finished product, we are so grateful to have worked with such a kind and flexible photographer who quite literally saved us at the last minute!

I am really passionate about my job. I love meeting and connecting with people. Making them laugh and having fun during the photo session is one of my main purposes. I love when clients they tell me they don't like to have their pictures taken, that is a challenge; and I promise I will change their minds. When you put your heart and soul in what you do, everything comes naturally.

Despite COVID making us change plans constantly, YC photography with Yrsina made it less stressful to plan and a no brainer to use her for our special day. She will fight for that perfect shot, telling random people strolling by to step to the side or get out the shot while still being professional. She is a joy to work with and will make sure to capture your memories to look back on for years to come.

Hey there! I'm Linda. San Diego wedding and portrait photographer. I've been photographing weddings for 5 years and have loved every minute of it. I'd love to chat with you and share how I can help you get the best possible images on your special day while giving you a great experience.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had the pleasure of working with Linda for our elopement, and she exceeded all expectations in every way possible. From the moment we booked her, the process was incredibly easy and user-friendly. The booking system was straightforward, and I immediately felt confident in our choice. Her communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. She was in constant touch with us, especially when it came to the venue. Not only did she provide guidance and suggestions, but she also took the initiative to visit the site earlier in the week to scout locations with the best lighting and backdrops. Her attention to detail made the day go smoothly. Our elopement took an unexpected turn when it ended up being filmed for the news, causing us to go overtime. Despite the extended hours, Linda stayed well past her scheduled time and even took stunning photos of our interviews. Her dedication to capturing every moment, even the unplanned ones, was above and beyond. With her extensive experience with elopements, particularly at the San Diego courthouse, she had a deep understanding of the best timing and locations for photos, which made everything flow effortlessly. Her knowledge truly helped us maximize our time and get the most out of our special day. On top of her professionalism and expertise, she was a delight to work with. She brought a warm and calm energy to the day, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Her price point was also very reasonable for the level of service she provided. Without a doubt, I would book her again for any future events and highly recommend her to all my friends. If you're looking for a skilled, dedicated, and genuinely wonderful photographer for your elopement, Jalea Photography is the one!

I love telling the messy, beautiful stories of life and each person’s own unique experience being human. I'm a people-person to my core and I thrive on creating a space where you can feel free to be your incredible self. I want us to know each other as real people, not just as commitments on each other’s calendars. Let's be friends and make photos that are lovely and messy and true. This is an inclusive, anti-racist space for all humans, all love, and all body-types. You, your love, and your story are welcome here. Come as you are.

Brittany was amazing to work with from our very first interaction until receiving our full album; even afterwords she continued to help us by answering questions about which types of print to order for our home. We were really drawn to her candid style of photography and outgoing personality. From the first email she was genuine and personable, making us feel extremely comfortable and excited for the process. Brittany spent a great deal of time getting to know us and what we were really looking for from our wedding photos. When the day came, we both felt relaxed and ready to have fun. It felt like we had a close friend taking our photos and not some random person. I would highly recommend working with Brittany, we look forward to continuing to work with her for future family photos!

We started off as a duo of quirky plastic artists who wanted to try something new - capturing weddings in a unique way that combined truthfulness and creativity. Fast forward 15 years and many, many amazing weddings later, and we're still just as nervous and excited before each event as we were on day one. I guess it means we still care! We believe your wedding photos should be a true reflection of your special day - capturing all the laughter, tears, love and joy in a way that takes you back to that exact moment. Making you relive the excitement, nervousness, happiness and warm fuzzy feelings of your wedding day.

Black Hat Studio captured the emotions at our wedding phenomenally! We had a simple wedding in Riviera Maya with a last minute venue change because of a storm and the team calmly rolled with the punches and made the most of the changes. We were worried all the changes would reflect poorly in our photos and videos, but they turned out wonderfully and we've not tire of flipping through them! A wonderful group that we would book again in a heartbeat!

I was raised in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California. I was drawn to photography in middle school and would enter photos of our family pets or family backpacking trips in our local county fair. My passion for photography grew while working as a hiking guide in Yosemite National Park. I mean… who wouldn’t want a stunning photo of Half Dome? El Capitan? Yosemite Falls? But it has been photographing wedding and couples that I find the most fun and rewarding. I have found loving hearts, wild souls, and adventurous spirits to be my people. I strive to visually capture the “spirit” of my subjects and record an emotional memory of the occasion.

I have traveled and photographed weddings and engagement shoots all over the country including internationally. I still get nervous before every wedding I photograph. If I didn’t have nervous tension, I probably would have lost the drive and passion for what I love doing the most. The reason for my love of wedding photography is simple: I love spending the day with brides and grooms creating wedding day memories that will last a lifetime. I hunt for moments that cannot be recreated or relived. I love capturing the raw emotion of a wedding day. I want to be the best not only for myself but especially for my clients.

Just book Peter! You won’t regret it. Super cool and personable from our visit video call with him. He was very flexible with our engagement shoot and generous with his time. Let me tell you…his vision!? Oh my. We have GORGEOUS photos from our engagement sesh as well as our wedding. I literally could not believe my eyes once I saw the photos! Anyone can take photos but Pete has the vision and artistic eye for epic photos! I cannot recommend him enough!

Naiya's skillful and gorgeous photos speak for themselves. We really loved working with her not only for our engagement photo session, but also the day of!!! Due to some unforseen emergency family matters, our photos were a bit late. We wish she would have given a bit more proactive communication regarding this. Have you ever met someone you just knew immediately was your person? We bet you have since you're here now! In 2015, Paul was the photographer at Crystal’s younger brother’s wedding, where she was a bridesmaid. We loved everything about that special day, but from the moment we locked eyes it was like time stood still. We knew then and there that we just hit the jackpot! Not only did we meet at a wedding, but we have both been in the events industry for well over a decade. Paul Douda Photography & Video offers full service wedding coverage for your big day in San Diego and beyond! We love to travel and destination weddings are a favorite!

We were looking for a photographer to capture our wedding day. We had specific requests one of them being we wanted the photos to be of the actual day as it was happening, not staged photos. Paul heard our request and went about the wedding mostly unnoticed, except where the group shots or special moments needed to be memorable. Crystal did the Video OMG. She captured everything we asked for and more. And the video trailer she made for us, wow!!! The first time I watched it I was thinking is this for real!!! Way over and above what we expected! I watch it all probably once a month. The first month 20 times a day and I still cry.. I love to send the video link to friends and Family. She made us look so good. Chad my husband and I went to a wedding show at the Grant hotel and literally search high and low for a photographer. Everyone had a package to sell, however no one listened to what we were trying to capture. When I said we search high and low I mean it. We found Crystal in the basement of the hotel, Chad fell in love with crystal first, being next to a brewery stand probably helped!! She listened to everything we were trying to accomplish for our special day. Even customized a special package based on our requests. Nothing was ever a problem or issue. The final results,Love these guys!!!!!!! Literally trust them for your day let them spoil you like they did for us. You will NOT be disappointed, not one bit!!!!!!!!!!

Hiii! I'm Kayley and I'm so glad you're here. I’m energized by meeting new people, so please say hello! I’m a go with the flow kind of person – which explains my love for spontaneous trips and the excitement of weddings. I love to dance and have a good time (seriously, I WILL be out there on the dance floor with you).

Awarded Best of Zola
Kayley was recommended to me by a good friend who had worked with her for years. To say that I was impressed with her work would be an understatement - she blew me away. Not only did she fit within my budget needs, she came up with a plan that captured everything I wanted. My husband had a photographer there when he proposed, so we didn't do the traditional engagement and then wedding sessions. We ended up with an amazing motorcycle couples shoot, a boudoir shoot, and wedding coverage. Kayley was quick on her feet at our wedding - we had 300 guests spread out across a decent sized park with multiple buildings. She not only kept up, she also kept it together during an insane thunder storm at the end of the night! It was such a lovely and easy experience for my husband and I while we planned such a large wedding, we will definitely be coming back to her for future photography needs!

INQUIRE ON MY WEBSITE! I've been doing this for 8 years now, & it really does get better with time. There are countless memories of laughter, holding back tears (mostly happy ones), surprises, & moments that my heart didn't see coming. The opportunity to meet couples that become friends is something I will always feel blessed to have. I love building that connection as much as possible! You two together is your own little piece of art. At least that’s how I see it! So with that being said, I don’t want to try & copy someone else’s art. How you interact together should be captured purely.

We loved working with Emma & give her our full recommendation. I spent a long time trying to find someone who fit within our budget and had a warm, romantic editing style. Emma nailed it. She took our engagement and wedding photos in Palm Springs, CA and we couldn't be more in love. We just got our wedding day sneak peeks back (within a week of our day) and completely adore what she captured. We are so excited to see the rest so we can relive our day over and over again.

Halley knows big sur like the back of her hand, if you are unsure of specific areas to shoot at, but have an idea of what you are imagining, she’s your gal! Our elopement took place on a very cold and windy day, but somehow our pictures turned out looking like we were having the time of our lives in the most comfortable of settings. She also works with you on any specific requests you may have, she doesn’t stick to just one style. When it came to choosing a photographer, her name popped up on our venue’s preferred vendors and on our wedding planner’s preferred vendors. I knew right then and there that she was going to be our person! Jonathan and I are not a photogenic couple, we are awkward and hate being the center of attention. We met Lauren and Toby the day of our wedding and automatically felt comfortable. I had a little mishap with my dress and cannot thank Lauren enough for her patience in waiting for my dress to get fixed. Shaun Baker Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,995
  • Serves Campo, CA

Shaun Baker is San Diego’s Premier Wedding Photographer. Shaun grew up studying film/television and the art of story telling. “I love people and I am fascinated by the way we interact. I love the stories that each of us carry around. That’s what makes us all great. I have a need to capture the individuals raw emotions and give it back in a beautiful way. “When the camera is in my hand, normalcy is the furthest thing from my mind. It is normal for me to be in a tree, on a rooftop, or laying on the ground during a wedding so I am always in the best position to get the most creative shot possible. I'm always striving to exceed expectations.

Awarded Best of Zola
My family has always cherished photos, so I placed a lot of importance on hiring an ace-level photographer for our wedding. And the first time I came across Shaun’s photos online I literally gasped out loud at his stunning work. He truly captured the couples’ and guests’ emotions—and he did the same for ours. Shaun and his partner Annie, of course, took the pre-planned photos we had asked for, but the joy was in the unstaged moments they captured. The photos of our mothers hugging with tears in their eyes, of my grandma dancing and whooping with my friends at the reception, of my now-husband kissing my forehead during our first dance…. they captured moments and emotions we didn’t see or realize were happening that day the first time around, and their work is priceless to us. They put our families at ease with their humor and professionalism, and it was fun to watch them come up with creative ways to capture moments, but it never felt intrusive. Shaun and Annie also completed our photo editing in a fraction of the time that was agreed to in the contract, and sweetened the (short) waiting period with a handful of sneak-peek photos, as well as a 10 minute video slideshow of some of the best photos set to music. It was a lovely way to share memories of the day with friends and family who couldn’t make it and wanted to feel a part of the event. We would recommend them to anyone.

Deep down most of us want more then just a pretty picture to look back on, but rather images that put the butterflies back in your stomach and make you feel like you are back in your dress again.

Teresa did an absolutely beautiful job for both our engagement photos and wedding. She was communicative from start to finish, and sought to understand our style and wishes. I often say my wedding was my Pinterest board come to life, and she played no small role in making my dreams come true :) Her kindness, passion, and thoughtfulness shines through everything she does. All of our friends and family at our wedding commented on how great she was, which speaks to her professionalism and kindness. She managed to capture seemingly every moment, yet I hardly even noticed she was there. It’s truly amazing how much of our special day she was able to capture on camera and film. We are so grateful she was available to be with us on our special day, and will cherish the photos forever! I highly highly recommend her to capture any of your special memories!!! Thank you!!

Mark and his team were wonderful! I am so happy with my photos and the package I chose. The pricing was amazing and such great value. You don’t have to compromise a fantastic budget friendly price for high quality photos. We also received so many photos! I was so impressed with the work. I work in the events world and I’ve been charged a lot more for less. I highly recommend Unveiled Wedding Photography. Mark walks you through everything, gives excellent insights, and ultimately delivers a collection of memories that I’m so happy to have. I also loved that Mark brought a third person to our wedding that was paying attention to all of the details. From jacket buttons to necklaces, and stray hairs, he had us picture perfect the whole time.

We’re a married photography team serving fun, non-traditional, & heart-centered couples all over SoCal & beyond! We describe our style as vibrant & romantic: capturing & creating as much laughter & joy as possible, while also always guiding our couples to focus on each other to create genuine memories to look back on in their photos. We believe ALL people in love deserve the most beautiful celebration that truly represents & honors their relationship. We believe in planning your wedding the way YOU want it, a wedding that will reflect and celebrate who you uniquely are as a couple - and we're here to help you do that.

Miranda and Trevor are the ultimate wedding dream team, and they make you feel like one of their friends! We booked them for an engagement shoot and our wedding, which I highly recommend doing to help get you and your fiance comfortable with them and in front of the camera. At the engagement shoot, my fiance and I were a little nervous as we'd never done professional photos before, but Miranda and Trevor made us feel so at ease, and the photos look absolutely phenomenal. Miranda was also a huge help with developing my timeline -- I had a number of requests and was stressed about how quick the day would go especially with an early sunset time, but she helped me manage the schedule beautifully so on the day, we actually ended up having a little bit of extra time and never felt rushed! The whole wedding day was totally relaxed, and she and Trevor captured the BEST shots.

We have enough stress in our everyday lives, and I refuse to add any more of it into yours. That's why I do everything I can to make your photography experience as stress-free as possible. This means answering your emails quickly, freely sharing all of my knowledge & expertise with you, and walking alongside you throughout your entire planning process.

I've been recommending and working with Liz personally for my company's branding (I am a wedding planner) as well as with our mutual wedding couples. She is not only a talented photographer but her ability to put couples at ease in front of the lens, show true and candid emotion through her work, and her promptness in communication are some of the many highlights of working with Liz. I can easily jump into a laidback conversation as equally as we can discuss business - the kind of friend and professional you want on your wedding dream team! I have nothing but amazing things to say about Liz and her work - truly an up and coming gem!

Hi loves! I’m Amanda, a San Diego based traveling photographer devoted to documenting romantic wedding moments and preserving the essence of the big day with imagery. I absolutely love having fun with my couples and getting them comfortable in being exactly who they are to capture in images! I have been a photographer for 10+ years and have fallen in love with being the person who showcases a couple’s love through creative imagery. I’ll be your biggest hype man, get you laughing with your partner and capture every emotional moment that should never be forgotten!

Amanda and KC were amazing! My fiancé and I were hesitant to take engagement photos at all—we are both awkward and don’t pose well for photos. Amanda and KC were very relaxed, casual and FUN! They made us laugh the entire time and everything felt so easy & comfortable. AND THE PICTURES ARE BEAUTIFUL! First, we don’t look awkward (big win). And second, the settings/backdrops/lighting they chose were exactly what we were looking for. Great experience and would highly recommend for anyone looking for engagement photos.

I fell in love with photography in high school and studied photojournalism in college. Before my wedding photography days, I honed my craft taking portraits – and chasing down breaking news stories for newspapers in my home state of Texas. I’m still a photojournalist at heart; telling your story is the soul of my work. I spend my free time outdoors as much as possible: hiking in the Laguna Mountains, camping in Joshua Tree, swimming at La Jolla Cove, sailing to Catalina Island.

I love working with Nick! He is super sweet, very talented, and he makes the wedding day not feel like a workday. I would highly recommend couples hire him to capture their weddings and events. You will not regret it!

We're Aly & Joey Tovar. We specialize in natural, romantic, and nostalgic photography. Our images incorporate natural lighting and candid moments while still creating the narrative of your love story. Our focus is for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera and to create something that shows who YOU are. When we're not capturing love stories, we're probably road roadtripping somewhere in Cali or cozied up in our trailer home with our two pups. We're lovers of Jesus, music, coffee (more so for joey), our vintage record collection, and exploring new places. We can’t wait to meet you and hear your story!

Alyssa and Joey are a dream to work with. Very friendly, hands on, and not at all pushy or intrusive on your wedding day. They float in and calm your nerves, all the while capturing beautiful and organic images that tell a story. It has been a pleasure to partner with them on many of our smaller wedding offerings and I look forward to many more events to come!

Hi hi welcome to my page! My name is Maddy and I am based in San Diego! In my work i really love to capture the warmth that is Southern California. I love the natural movements of documentary styled photos and the luxury feel of editorial, why choose a fav?! Even though I am based in San Diego, I grew up on the South East and love to travel, so take me wherever your love story is!

Maddy Greene was absolutely incredible. She was personable, professional, and made Matt and I feel so comfortable. She is extremely easy going, but assertive in all the right ways. She knows how to give perfect direction to make sure she gets the best shot. We were blow away by the photos and could not have been happier to have her photograph such a special day. I have no reservations to recommend Maddy Greene to anyone looking for a photographer!

My name is Adrian Burlaza, I was first introduced into photography in 2008 when I took an intro black & white photo course. I instantly fell in love with taking images with my camera and seeing them come to life by my own hands (literally, in the dark room). From that point I committed myself to this craft of image-making and scoured the internet, learning everything from nerdy equipment specs to creative techniques.

I can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Adrian! His photos are stunning and he is so incredibly nice. My husband and I both feel a little awkward in front of the camera and Adrian gave great instructions and put us at ease. He also captured so many small sweet moments, and really got the feel of our ceremony across. He got our photos back to us super fast too, overall a really amazing experience!

Hi, I'm Alexx! I grew up in San Diego and went to school in Malibu to study media production & math (I know, weird combo). Since then, I've lived in both Point Loma in SD and in West LA, so I'm always popping around all of SoCal! I absolutely adore weddings for the love, celebration, joy, and romance, so I want to make sure those are your main feelings throughout the day! What that means is I will always remain a calm presence in the chaos to help keep you grounded, but also blend into the background to give you space to just experience your day!

I don't even know where to begin. Alexx was hands down the best photographer we could have asked for. From the start she was supper communicative and within a day of inquiry, we had set up a time to chat and get acquainted. She is incredibly professional, but still super personable! We had so much fun with her at our engagement shoot, and the photos were INCREDIBLE. Her style is so organic and she makes you feel very comfortable from the start. She gave us so many tips leading up to the wedding about what to have ready for her and at what time, while still being super flexible with us if we needed to adapt. Day of with her was a breeze, too! She lead us through all of our photos and we wrapped up family photos quickly enough thanks to her that we were able to spend more time with our guests/family before the reception which was amazing! She had our previews to us within a few days and we are OBSESSED with every photo!! We cannot wait to see the full gallery :) Thank you so much for everything, Alexx!!!

Shilpa was absolutely amazing to work with! We hired her pretty close to our wedding date and she helped us so much on all the questions we had and met with us in person to go over all the small and important details and was able to accommodate to anything we needed and wanted to be done. She was able to capture every single important moment we wanted and more! The pictures came out so beautiful, vibrant and just perfectly edited to enhance the beautiful moments. She is very creative and shoots tons of different beautiful, fun poses and spots. She’s a very hard worker and she made everyone feel really comfortable and we had a great time taking fun pictures with our wedding guests! We would recommend her to anyone! The next time we need a photographer for anything we’re calling her! :)

I got into the photography business back in 2016 because of people just like you – who want to enjoy an unforgettable experience and to remember it in a unique way. You’re why I put a creative spin on typical photographs – and create astonishing works of art. So that you’ll not only remember the past but have something extraordinary to share with the future. Because your photos are bigger than you. They are your legacy. And that deserves to be documented beautifully.

Rey Benasfre Photography was a joy to work with from start to finish. Their communication style was clear, courteous, and polite, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was nothing short of awestruck - their creative, mesmerizing, and elegant photos captured the beauty and magic of our special day effortlessly. Rey and his team knew exactly how to set up and seamlessly capture all the moments that made our wedding day so memorable. Compared to most photographers, Rey combines artistic, elegant, photojournalistic and editorial styles to deliver truly stunning results. We are overjoyed with the photos and couldn't recommend Rey Benasfre Photography more highly.
