Two years ago, me and my now husband were looking at vendors and venus. We went to a bridal showcase and we fell in love with everything about this place. All of our vendors were there for us to pick out. Jerry Was there and from that moment I'm the communication never stopped. We had to change our date a couple of times and he accommodated. when I said wanted to come to pick out stuff and the sign paperwork. But we need to bring our son Jerry said bring him along, even let him sign the papers. Even until moments before me walking down the aisle. I knew that everything at the venue would be OK because he communicated with us. Even 2 days before are wedding. It was perfect and it was. More than what we had expected, the staff ,bartender ,the DJ and the Baker was so nice and so sweet. Our family and friends still to this day. Talk about how amazing are wedding was and the food and the music and the desserts. Thank you for making our feel magical

We could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our day. Everyone at Nippersink was beyond kind and helpful on the day of and for the entire year leading up to the wedding. Jaclyn was a dream to work with. She answered all of my many questions and was so flexible and accommodating. She always responded very promptly and went above and beyond in answering any questions or requests. Paul, the owner, and his wife were equally helpful and kind. I loved how personable their entire family was. My now husband and I kept saying throughout the whole wedding planning process how lucky we were to find Nippersink. Some examples of how they went above and beyond: buying my favorite flavored water and Malibu to use as a signature drink, allowing us to add on an appetizer a week before the wedding, sending us pictures of all of the available decor to use (they have so many great options available!), giving us the nicest gift day of, being flexible in the rehearsal dinner timing, and allowing us to have our ceremony at the venue with only 4 months notice when our church fell through. Besides their family being the sweetest, they have created such a wonderful space! The new wooden tables and chairs are gorgeous, the hotel was just redone, the grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious. We have gotten SO many compliments from guests about how much they loved the venue and were told from a guest it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! We truthfully could not have had a better experience and we are so thankful to everyone at Nippersink on the Lake for that! Five stars just isn’t enough!

The coordinator packages are worth every penny—Stephanie stepped in during the final weeks and went above and beyond, she and the staff even brought drinks to the head table and our parents during dinner. The in-house services are so convenient, and the new getting-ready suite is gorgeous and perfect for a relaxing morning. The entire team was incredible throughout our two-year planning process—fun, professional, and detail-oriented. Every vendor had told us how amazing they are to work with, and they see why as they executed our day flawlessly. The venue is stunning, spacious yet intimate, and our guests haven’t stopped complimenting it. Merc. Sound handled our DJ, and Nate was fantastic! **Bonus for pet parents: Merc is pet-friendly, and our pups were so welcomed, making the day extra special. We had our wedding 6/15/24 at the blue stem farms and events. When I say this venue is breathtaking, it has everything you’re looking for in a rustic style barn. From the beautiful property to the barn this will make your wedding day even more special. Have to give a huge shot out to Kelly the owner, she is the sweetest lady you will meet. She made sure during the whole planning process to be by our sides. If you need to speak to her, she’s right there for you. On our wedding day she made sure everything ran smoothly. Starting from the first call we had with Amelia (Sales Manager in charge of their room blocks) last November while Jonathan (Wedding-Catering Sales Manager) was out of the office, we knew The Abbey was going to be an amazing venue to work with. Her vibrant personality could be felt over the phone, and made me feel like we’d known her for years. This rang true through every single phone call and email we had during our wedding planning, all the way through being onsite for our wedding week. Amelia is friendly, approachable, a great listener, accommodating, timely, and hospitable to name just a few. We genuinely felt like she cared about the success of our wedding, and the experience that our guests were going to have. She went as far as working with the reservations team to ensure we got a suite that was previously reserved when it opened up, customizing our wedding block to fit our guests’ needs, helping ensure guest welcome bags were distributed, and welcoming us for our stay with a gift basket note. We truly believe we would have ended up having our wedding elsewhere if I hadn’t tracked her down last November. Similar to Amelia - from the first time we connected with Jonathan to start planning our wedding, we knew we had something unique in our venue team, and felt confident we’d be in great hands throughout the process. Jonathan always responded to our frequent emails in an extremely timely manner – often right away even when we told him to wait until business hours – and it often felt like he was one step ahead of us. He was extremely helpful with providing his industry expertise, guiding our decision making based on previous experience with weddings / large events, and felt confident that he ultimately had our best interests in mind. He helped us incorporate unique components / details to our wedding that our guests are still talking about, and gave us the sweetest welcome package in our suite! (And recommended we book a great secluded suite!) Jonathan somehow was able to accommodate all of our requests in some way or another, and always made us feel like he was so personally invested. We never could have imagined working with someone so responsive, flexible, detail-oriented, and somehow as passionate about our wedding as we were. His organizational and coordination skills shined exceptionally throughout the last 10 months – even the day after the wedding he was helping us move things out of the ballroom and transferring flowers to brunch. He was truly there every step of the way. We have not been able to stop raving about both Jonathan and Amelia to anyone who asks, and can confidently say we don’t have any negative feedback to share about our experience. Our guests have been the same way and have all been positively commenting on their whole experience. Any challenges that came up throughout our process were always met with solutions, a clear path forward, and their team going above and beyond. Jonathan and Amelia were even there to see us out the Monday after our wedding as we departed, and made not only us but also our parents feel like family. Truly everyone from check-in, Greg at valet, and restaurant spa staff, to the catering events teams and management being open to our ever changing requests ( and keeping up with our large group size) – everyone was so accommodating to work with. We cannot say more positive things about the staff, venue, and our experience!

The Armour House at Lake Forest Academy

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

The Evergreen Room, our banquet facility, is nestled in a beautifully landscaped hillside. The room can hold up to 250 guest for a plated reception or 220 for a buffet reception. Attached to the room is The Pub Bar. This large bar is penninsula shaped and served from 3 sides. There are several tables in the surrounding area for guests to easily gather around. You and your guests will have access to our spacious patio where the views of the golf course continue. This space can also serve as the perfect back drop for an on-site ceremony. The Evergreen Room offeres an adjoining Bridal Suite. This club's ballroom is to die for. The natural light during cocktail hour and the in-house white up lighting made this a fairytale wedding. The event staff was exceptionally professional. I would get married again here if I could!

The Gardens are absolutely gorgeous in the summer, and my husband and I fell in love with the location immediately after we entered. Aside from the beautiful scenery, the Gardens provide delicious food from Culinary Landscapes, their in-house catering service, and all of our wedding guests were raving about the food and beverages. The catering staff were amazing and very attentive. The only smudge on our experience was that establishing and maintain communication was rocky – especially towards the beginning of our planning process – and there were a few surprise expenses tacked on. All things considered, however, we would go back to CBG in a heartbeat – we had a fairy tale wedding.

With everything going on with COVID-19, my fiance and I were super nervous about what would happen if we postponed our wedding or even if we had it with a smaller crowd. We had friends tell us that for their wedding at a different venue, they were still going to be charged the minimum amount even if there were only 50 people, I was so nervous about what was going to happen but then we got the call. Jennifer called us from Brides of Poplar Creek and assured us that they understood what was going on and that they would do whatever they could to accommodate us with what we decided to do. They allowed us to maintain our date for 2020 but then also offered to hold a date (at no cost) for 2021! My fiance and I hit the lotto with this place. Jennifer is up to date on the guidelines they are mandated to follow and continued to support us as we took our time deciding what we were going to do. We have finally decided to move our date and Jennifer drew up the new contract and got it to us in no time. Honestly, she made it so much easier for us to make this decision because it definitely was not easy. If you have not seen this venue in person, you need to go check it out. I am very picky and was looking for a place that did not have carpet. If you look at their old photos you see what the upstairs used to look like, it was beautiful but it had carpet. I was going to not even check out this venue but my mom saw that they updated their floors and now it is wood flooring. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Having both inside and outside ceremony options, you could not ask for a better place. I cannot wait to continue working with Jennifer and her crew as the countdown to our new wedding date continues. I will post a new review after our wedding happens next September. CHECK OUT BRIDGES OF POPLAR CREEK, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

I loved my wedding, it was everything I could've wanted out of the venue. I had My ceremony (outside) & reception (inside) and it was such a wonderful time! I did the family-style menu and all the food was delicious. The reception area in the all seasons room was beautiful with the light globe. The bartenders and servers were very attentive and polite. All of our guests loved the food, the chocolate fountain, and of course the late-night bowling!! The communication with the venue was my main pain point as I was appointed multiple sales managers as it seemed like they were going through a management change. I thought it was odd that I talked with the sales manager for all of my communication regarding the wedding up until the day of I was assigned an event manager who I met 1 hour before my ceremony. The sales manager was still on property the day of but I thought it was weird I didn't receive any information that I would be working with someone else the day of. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a beautiful and fun place to get married!!

Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. We couldn't have picked a more beautiful, open and perfect venue than the Factory on Barclay. We got married 5/13 and people are still messaging me about how stunning the venue was. Sarah was amazing every step of the way from letting us tour multiple times with different family members, owning set up of our day and tear down. We didn't have to worry about a thing besides having our day. The rest of the staff day-of was absolutely awesome as well. Alcohol is provided. Bartenders were awesome and dealt with the party atmosphere of our wedding really well. We had a little scheduling issue where, surprisingly, we were ahead of schedule and Sarah got all vendors to move things ahead 30 mins. You get so much for your money as well. The space itself is massive and makes the day flow really easily. We did everything on-site, (getting ready, pics, ceremony and reception) and it was the perfect space. Getting ready suites are huge and a big plus. Recommended vendors usually sway people in the opposite direction because you have a smaller list of caterers to chose from, but it's evident that the staff at the Factory and Sarah have taken the time to curate a list of vendors that make a lot of sense for all different budgets and different experiences. We wouldn't do a thing differently regarding our venue search. Truly was the most beautiful day. Will add pictures once we get our formal pics from our photographer!

Where do I begin?! We had our ceremony at the Doubletree Hilton and wanted a space for our reception close to the hotel, but without spending an arm and a leg. We booked The Box for our wedding reception in June and everything went perfectly. We were looking for a venue that was affordable and not over priced, no food/beverage minimum, minimal setup, timeless and beautiful, and that could accommodate our guest list of 75. The Box checked alllll of these boxes. I love that we were able to arrange the space how we envisioned and choose our own caterer (we used BelAir Cantina). Jamie worked with us to select a bar package that was extremely reasonable and fit our budget. We felt zero pressure during our meetings and Jamie assured me her team would make sure the space looked lovely, and she was right! We saved money on decor by using The Box’s candles and some lamps they provide, and we brought bud vases with flowers in for table decor. They had all the tables set and ready to go for my personal assistants to set up the little details (bud vases, signage, card box, etc). Both Jamie and Jaime were a delight to work with and made sure we felt comfortable and happy. They were both very responsive and answered all of my questions. I felt like they truly cared about helping to make our wedding day successful and that meant so much to us. There seemed to be plenty of street parking and I know a few guests utilized the parking garage kitty corner across the street with no issues. 10/10 would recommend The Box for a wedding reception or any event for that matter. This space has so much potential and they can help bring your vision to life. I am so happy we chose The Box to celebrate our marriage with our favorite people!! Also downtown Milwaukee and the riverwalk are within walking distance and are PERFECT for photos, even in the rain.

The Best Place at Pabst was so easy to work with, affordable, flexible drink packages, lots of fun amenities, natural atmosphere and decor means you don’t need to do much decorating of your own, I could go on and on. Our guests could not stop raving about how unique, intimate and lovely the space was. We used the Blue Ribbon Hall which included a balcony space which we used to give our guests the opportunity to play classic WI card games; Euchre, Sheepshead, cribbage etc… It was a great, separate space to hang out but still be a part of the celebration and watch the dancing. The staff even accommodated our last minute request to play the Bucks playoff game on the projector during dinner! Our wedding included lots of guests from out of town and out of state and we really wanted a venue that embodied Milwaukee culture. This. Was. IT.

Everything from start to finish was amazing with UClub! Leah and the staff were great and pleasant to work with! We had the venue pretty much to ourselves all weekend which was great for my out of town family. Everything was stress free and taken care of without question! We cannot say enough good things about our experience at The Westin Chicago Northwest! Whenever we had questions they were able to answer them and guide us to ensure our question was answered fully. Last Saturday we had our MOST special day and it was everything we wanted and more! The meals were delicious, and still being talked about by our guests. The ambience and the wait staff made our guests feel welcomed and cared for! We know that we will continue to talk about our venue and wedding for years to come! we can’t thank the fountain blue enough for making our wedding reception PERFECT!

The Urban Ecology Center is a stunning venue. The outdoor ceremony area is gorgeous, and the indoor reception is earthy and cozy. The Valerie was the perfect place for our wedding! They had everything there in one spot. Bridal suite, groomsman suite, ceremony, reception, cocktail hour, patio, sunset photos. Even a hotel across the parking lot. Matty did a phenomenal job, brought us drinks and always asked how we were doing. Very responsive during the whole process. Cannot recommend this venue enough. I was worried about my theme being boho, and the venue being more modern but it turned out PERFECT! The venue is good for any theme, any couple.
