We took advantage of both and were so happy we did! On the day of the event, Doug took the role of MC and walking around the room to get pictures of people/get everyone involved and Andrew took on the role of primary DJ. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. “Overall music selection and sound was great, maybe a little too loud a some points but that may also be due to speaker placement. There was an issue with the DJ going to the wrong site initially. Our venue had 3 ceremony/reception sites, and he set up across the street at one of the other sites. This caused a delay in set up, but our coordinator and site manger were able to help him. I don’t think he verified with anyone when he arrived that he was at the correct wedding before setting up. Ceremony music sound was great. It was already fun to listen to the soundcheck. About 120 guests were all over the cul-de-sac and the band totally adapted to everything that happened. Their male singer was not at our party but their female singer was absolutely amazing!!!! Whenever we talk about the party, EVERYONE says that the band was so GREAT!! We hope to hear/see them again. If we ever need a band again: THAT'S THE BAND for sure.”

Throughout the planning process, he was intentional about being up to par and knowledgeable with our plans, timeline and details. He really worked to make sure that he knew how to best make our night flow. Halfway through the planning process we included video as a part of our package with him. This was by far the BEST decision! Derald waltzed in the door bright eyed and bushy tailed the morning of our wedding. While getting his set up all in order, he was spinning some bops and bangers while our bridal party was taking pictures. It kept the energy for photos ALIVE! He captured every special moment throughout the day for us and now we can watch back our special day. He surprised us with Freemind Event Painting at our reception which was by far the most heartfelt and special gift we received! As if defying gravity, Derald turned up the energy level every hour of our reception. His talent and energy was all our guests could talk about and still talk about! He sets the bar for what you should expect out of a DJ. Electric. Fun. Great Moves. We had a hall full of dancers and Derald just matched the energy of our guest and we got to enjoy him being on the dancefloor challenging people and getting everyone hype! He took INCREDIBLE care of us throughout the night and was patient with our queues. He mixed one banger right after the other and was right out on the dance floor with everyone! The most special part of having him be a part of our vendor team, is that he felt like family the entire planning process, wedding, reception and even came to our morning after brunch the next day! He organized every detail and made our day run flawless. Isaac and his team are much more than just a DJ service. They are full on event coordinators that actually listened to your thoughts and opinions and gave suggestions when we struggled to make a decision. We planned on doing an outdoor ceremony, and ceremony audio outdoors as well. Unfortunately had to make a last minute change to indoors due to weather and Isaac and his team took care of everything for this last minute change and it turned out perfect. The way they coordinated songs was perfect. They had a selection of songs that anyone could dance to. They kept people on the dance floor and engaged with the crowd. These guys were super accommodating and went above and beyond in more ways than one. “Working with Emily and Arch City Lights as a whole was truly a breeze. They allowed you to customize your experience with them as much as you need. Emily does a great job at keeping the timeline for planning etc. and initiating communication along the way. We had Arch City Lights set up sound for our Ceremony for which they did not play. Everything sounded great, was a very modern and minimal setup (they use computers for mixing etc. so it is not overly bulky). The quality was incredible and there were no squeals or sound problems. They were able to set this up very quickly and efficiently and the staff were calm, very friendly, and followed all venue rules etc. - only asking questions when extremely necessary. We also had Arch City Lights perform as a Jazz Trio for our Cocktail Hour. This was while the wedding party was taking photos, so I am very happy that we got a video. They were very engaging, extremely talented, and you could tell they had a great time playing. It really set the perfect mood for the cocktail hour. Emily was the Emcee for the entire wedding. Her "stage presence", calmness, and ability to roll with the punches made her the perfect candidate for this job and she worked hard to make sure she pronounced every name perfectly (which she did - even Metivier (haha)). She has a great voice and really added the narrator and vibe that we needed. She followed all cues and social prompts on her own and really took charge of the whole process - making everything go very smoothly and perfectly accompanying all of the wedding pieces with pre-chosen music that we determined together. They DJ all of the songs you want and make it very simple. Lastly, Arch City lights played us into the night and was truly the life of the party. They adapted their original schedule from 3 sets with 2 breaks to 2 longer sets with less breaks (I am assuming to keep the party going - thanks), and this show will be talked about for years to come. Every single attendee made sure to comment on Emily and the others' "pipes," and skills on their corresponding instruments. They did an amazing job playing songs that we asked for and keeping the party rocking. They had a full band with Horns etc. and everything about them was perfect and professional. If I had some constructive criticism to give, I really would, but Emily and Arch City Lights went above and beyond in so many ways to make this an unforgettable night. I would not have changed a thing.”

“We had Terrell as our DJ for our wedding and could not be more happy with him! It was a little nerve racking having a meeting so close to the big day but Terrell and Derek both made us feel comfortable that everything would go smoothly. On the day of the wedding Terrell was at a venue he has never worked at before but set up and communication was seamless. He kept the party going and had the dance floor packed all night (one of the most important things for us that night). We didn't give him a playlist; just more like some guidelines and he did an amazing job. He came up to me and my husband to ensure we were happy (and even fed!). He communicated with me and the photographer to ensure all the big moments were captured before the photographer had to leave which was so nice because the thought to do that had not even occurred to me.
