TRAVLR Vacation Homes

5.0

Palm Desert, CA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

The Dream House is a true desert masterpiece – 5300 sqft of modern architecture juxtaposed by the rugged terrain of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Newly constructed, The Dream House was curated to be the ultimate luxury vacation venue with a secluded vibe, yet the convenience of a 5-minute drive to El Paseo in Palm Desert.  Perched mountaintop, you can bask in the large saltwater infinity pool overlooking the entire Coachella Valley. The Dream House has multiple lounging areas across the expansive property, providing ample space to sit back and enjoy a warm night under the stars. The front of this venue is an expansive yard with indoor/outdoor space, perfect for hosting large groups.

Our wedding at the Dream House was absolutely perfect and so unique! Our guests still can’t stop talking about it! The venue is set right in the middle of the beautiful Palm Desert Mountains, blending seamlessly into the breathtaking landscape. We couldn't have dreamed of a better spot to get married. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel so special. They were not only super professional but always there when we needed them. Quick to respond to texts, they helped with everything along the way. We had our ceremony on one side of the house with a beautiful mountain backdrop and a violinist playing. For the cocktail hour, we moved to the pool area, which offered the best view anyone has ever seen. Our guests kept saying the same thing – they were blown away. The main party was held inside the house in a room nicknamed the game room, which has sliding doors all across that open up to the outside. The decor our planner designed gave the room a unique, modern desert disco feel. The night flowed very smoothly from one space to another, giving our guests freedom to explore all the house had to offer. What you can do with the house in terms of layout and decor is nicer than any wedding venue I’ve ever been to. The decor and flowers were stunning. Even now, our guests keep telling us it was the nicest wedding they've ever been to. The Dream House made our big day so special and unique, we couldn't recommend it more.

The Carlsbad Windmill is a beautiful venue and I loved having it as an all in one package. It made wedding planning so easy while still being customizable in many ways. We had an amazing day and everything went smoothly. As a bride, I did not have to worry about much. My only caution is that they can change the food options at their discretion so the food that is there when you book with them may have slight changes when you get to closer to your actual wedding date. This was not a big deal for us but they did change the filet mignon option to a sirloin. Other than that, every one we worked with there are kind and helpful. They are quick to answer any questions you have throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to plan a wedding in the area. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all on the same property/building which makes a very easy transition for the guests from place to place. Many beautiful options for photos on site as well along with the beach and flower fields close by.

  • Outdoor

Located on the north shore of Big Bear Lake, The Outpost is a stunning rustic getaway and wedding venue and just a two-hour drive from Los Angeles, Palm Springs and San Diego and only 55 miles from the Ontario International Airport. The Outpost provides the perfect backdrop for you and your partner to host the ultimate romantic wedding in an utterly tranquil space, surrounded by tall pines and the beautiful San Bernardino mountains. The Outpost boasts several locations for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and its five cabins are comfortably decorated and fully stocked. Hi, this is Kurt and Stefanie Yaeger, now a happily married couple. Real people with a real review, and we can say we absolutely loved our wedding at The Outpost. The venue was magical, out of the box (which is perfect for us), and exactly what we wanted. Why? The mountain and lake views, the cabins, the privacy, the lighting, all of it amazing, but that isn't the main reason, which is attributed to the owner's personal service: Jolene, Alyssa, & Billy. They really went above and beyond, making sure our day was special, unique, and exactly how we wanted it. They were attentive and communicative leading up to the special day, recommended amazing food vendors, facility vendors, and made our day one that we could enjoy and focus on our guests. The venue itself is amazing! Mountain views in the background of our photos of us saying "I do". The cabins! Five cabins we used to stay in, used on the day, and put up the wedding party in to stay overnight. Each having a personal touch of music, all on vinyl records (so cool). Also, the freedom to make our day special and unique. My wife and I chose where the isle went, the chairs were, the food vendors placed, tables, tents, everything went were our imagination wanted to put them. So, our wedding was bespoke, a one-off wedding that only we got to have, which means you get to use the same facility but it's going to be different than ours, so it will only be yours. We're grateful for the wonderful memories. Our guests were over the moon. We can't wait to go back and spend a weekend where we got married. Where else can you get all that? Kurt & Stefanie.

Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa

5.0

Coronado, CA
  • Up to 400 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

Imagine saying "I do" at your Coronado Island wedding while feeling a warm evening breeze fresh off the San Diego Bay at sunset. Our hotel makes every effort to make Coronado Island wedding planning successful, magical, and exceptional.

I got married at the Coronado Island Marriott in April 2023. It was the most magical weekend of my life! It was an Indian wedding - 300 guests and had events both Friday and Saturday (3 events total), all held at the Coronado Island Marriott. The views from the wedding site are stunning - you get the water and downtown skyline as your backdrop, and people were stunned. One of our events (Sangeet - Friday night) was at the hotel's Skyline Terrace, and the sunset hitting downtown and the lights in the night were breathtaking. You also get a view of the Coronado bridge. Everywhere you go, there are views. Our guests were raving all weekend about the accommodations. The hotel boasts the biggest hotel rooms in San Diego, and they did not disappoint. They were extremely clean and modern. The biggest bonus was the hotel wasn't huge to where people felt overwhelmed walking from one side to another. It was intimate while still being spacious, and you got the vibe it was my wedding wherever you went in the hotel. The hotel is super close to the ferry to downtown, so when people had free time, some of them would go downtown for food or site-seeing, and come back. It was super easy. The hotel has a spa as well (my husband and I got a couples massage the day after the wedding), which is so tidy and relaxing as well. There's a park nearby, and flamingos on site which I know a lot of the kids loved watching. The Coronado Beach is a 10 min drive (which is where we got some of our wedding pictures done), and a few people spend time there. The hotel also has a wonderful/spacious pool area, which a lot of my friends used. There are also a lot of restaurants walking distance from the hotel, which was nice since each of the families had welcome dinners at separate places - guests didn't have to worry about ubering or walking far distances. There's something for everyone to do/see during down time at or near the hotel. The hotel at the restaurant is called Albaca, and served up some delicious food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all great), and cocktails. My husband loved Albaca's spicy margarita so much when we visited one time, that he decided to make it his signature drink! I know a lot of guests spent time there hanging out. I have to give a shoutout to Kheshini over at the Marriott (Director of Event Planning) who was with us every step of the way - from site tours, to signing, to helping us plan the event, to being there when it all came together. Even if we visited the Marriott unannounced and we let her know we were in town, she'd go out of our way to say hi. She is so friendly, and just the person you'd want helping run your event. She worked with us to try to get everything we wanted, and to make sure that we were happy (ex. I wanted a very specific watermelon vodka for my signature drink, and Kheshini made sure that they were able to find it and order it in time). She was also extremely patient with the questions that came from our parents (which was a lot!). If you're considering booking the Coronado Island Marriott as a wedding venue, I 10/10 would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed, and I felt like a princess the entire weekend. Everyone there is extremely polite and accommodating, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy on the most important weekend of my life thus far.

From the very first consultation, Nathalie and Alesia were extremely attentive to all our demands and needs. They listened carefully to what we wanted and worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of the event was planned and executed to perfection. They were flexible and accommodating, making sure that every detail was taken care of. They truly went the extra mile to ensure that our special day was as memorable as it could be. Overall, I would highly recommend the Marriott Bayview Hotel in Newport Beach for anyone looking to host a wedding reception. The Anaheim Hotel was an amazing venue for our wedding weekend! We held our entire wedding weekend (Welcome Dinner, Ceremony and Reception) at the Anaheim Hotel and are so glad we chose to work with them. The poolside Cabana added a touch of elegance and allowed our guests to mingle in a relaxed atmosphere. Our guests enjoyed watching the Disneyland fireworks poolside as the night wound down. The Veranda Lawn is a beautiful space for a ceremony and the ballroom is a fun space for a reception - spacious enough for our large guest list, yet intimate enough for heartfelt moments. Jamie from the hotel was great to work with planning our weekend. She is detailed, accommodating and has an upbeat attitude. She listened to our preferences and made our dreams come true. A short example of her attention to detail and care: our wedding day was hotter than forecasted and on the day of, she asked if we would want to set up umbrellas for our guests to keep them comfortable. She had them set up on short notice, making sure they were placed them exactly as we had asked. That attentive and professional attitude extended to the staff, they anticipating our needs before we even asked. The hotel's ability to host both the ceremony and reception made planning so much easier. The food was quite good, nearly every guest completely finished their plate. The bar team is stellar, everybody enjoyed their drinks. If you are looking for a beautiful space that will seamlessly host your wedding, look no further.
