“From our first meeting I know Matty would be the perfect fit. He is super kind and incredibly professional. He led us through the wedding process with ease and smiles. He listened to our requests and added his own magic which I knew he would do. The dance floor was packed!! Matty was perfect in his execution- never stealing the spotlight from the bride and groom and he didn’t sing and shout over the music which we appreciated! (That has a time and place but not for this wedding). He pulled together instrumentals for the ceremony and managed the artists and added musicians at the reception and it really brought out the celebratory vibe of the night. He communicated with me in the beginning of the process, told me exactly how the process would go and that is exactly how it went. “My husband and I are both musicians, as were many of our wedding guests, so when we were looking for a band to play at our October 2023 wedding in shoreline CT we knew we wanted an established band of kick-butt musicians. We had an initial phone call with Adam and immediately hit it off as fellow musicians! We knew we didn't want line dances or cliche wedding reception songs, and Adam was fully on board. He also mentioned how Around Town is different from other wedding bands - they have played together for years, where other companies just throw together contracted musicians for specific events who might not have ever played together before the day of your event. We loved the transparency about this, and immediately decided to book the Around Town Band, Adam's personal band. They played all through cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Our guests were already SO impressed by the time we got to dancing, but then we (the band, my husband, and I) surprised them by performing all together! I know it took extra work for the band to learn our requested song in order to surprise our guests, but I had no idea they had also coordinated with my brother (also a musician) to surprise ME with a song! Around Town really went above and beyond to make our wedding reception something out of our dreams. They are true musicians who completely set the tone for our guests - we are still getting compliments a year later, saying that Around Town made the night and is the best wedding band our guests have heard. If you want a band who will knock your guests' socks off, keep everyone dancing literally all night, and impress the musicians in your life, this is the band for you! Some tiny things I would say as a critique/heads up to other couples - we did not receive a set list in advance and communication was a little spotty. One of my main concerns for my wedding was that there would be songs played that I didn't know, so a set list a month or so before the event would have definitely eased those nerves, however one was never promised to us. That being said, we did extensively highlight the song list the band sent us early on to determine what songs they already knew that would fit our vision, so I think the vibe of what we were looking for was pretty clear, and in the end not a single song I didn't know was played! Communication was also a little tricky - we totally understand that the band would be very busy with events on top of keeping up with email communications, but we were sent a link to pay the remainder of our balance before some previous emails with questions were answered - it felt a little backwards and at the time really stressed me out, but it was more than made up for by the wedding day experience itself. Thank you, Adam and team, for being the BEST wedding band we could possibly dream of!”

“BVTLive! was all around an excellent choice for our wedding. DJ Linx was amazing! His communication was incredible; he responded to our emails and messages quickly, usually within a few minutes to an hour. We ran through the whole night with him in a few video calls leading up to the wedding. We went through all family intro pronunciations and he double checked with everyone the day-of to make sure everything was correct. He worked with our day-of coordinator to ensure the timeline was correct and everything ran smoothly. We gave him a few spotify playlists that he stuck to very well, with a few additions that were perfect. He read the room very well and everyone had a great time - kids, adults, and older relatives. The midnighters were super easy to work with! They performed for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. They have a long list of songs they are able to play for the procession and recession, and learned one song from scratch for us - a song they had never played before - and it sounded amazing. We heard so many rave reviews from our guests about how great they were. We would highly recommend both of these artists and BVTLive! as a whole.”

“In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”

He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. Everyone will be up dancing, singing, drinking, and sweating their butts off, and having a blast! What to expect: -Professionalism. Brooks responds promptly and covers all bases. No detail will be overlooked during the planning stages. Day of, they get to the venue well ahead of time to sound check and make sure everything is sounding perfect. During the event, they are great at providing direction and making sure everything runs smoothly. -Personalization and flexibility. The guys truly care about making the event as special as possible and are very open to any idea to bring the event over the top. In addition to our “special request” songs (which they nailed) the band was incredibly gracious at my request to join them onstage to “surprise” my wife and guests by playing a song along with them. It could not have gone over any better…my wife was thrilled and it absolutely brought the house down! -Party! They know what will get everyone up and moving. Their catalogue of songs is well over 200 and it includes all decades and genres. Multiple guests commented that they didn’t want to leave the dance floor to get dessert or go to the bathroom because every song was such an amazing jam. The Barnstorm is absolutely worth every penny. We knew they were the right band for our wedding the first moment we heard them at Hill Country, and we feel so lucky and grateful to the guys for playing our wedding. On top of it all, my wife, friends, and I get to continue to relive that night by seeing their gigs throughout NYC! We simply cannot say enough great things about The Barnstorm.”
