Bayou Rose Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Baton Rouge, LA

I BELIEVE IN MOMENTS - THE BIG ONES, AND THE IN-BETWEEN ONES. I BELIEVE LIFE IS LIVED IN THOSE IN-BETWEEN SPACES; IN THE STORIES TOLD AFTER ONE BREATH BUT BEFORE THE NEXT. WEDDINGS. BIRTH. FAMILY. THEY'RE ALL CHAPTERS IN YOUR UNIQUE STORY, JUST WAITING TO BE TOLD.

Cyd is the best photographer to work with in my opinion! As a makeup artist myself, I’ve been in the wedding business for a long time, and I’ve had Cyd on my list for years! When my own wedding finally came along, she was just as amazing as I knew she’d be! She truly goes out of her way to make everything work effortlessly, plus she’s friendly and hilarious too which makes it that much more fun! She’s a rare type of photographer that’s not afraid to lay on the ground or climb in the bushes for that perfect shot! You’re doing yourself a disservice if you pass up Bayou Rose Photography!

Sidney Donaldson Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Baton Rouge, LA

I've been shooting weddings for almost 10 years now and love every single one. The love, the joining of 2 people, and the fun of having everyone together. I strive to have every single important moment captured to remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew from the start that our wedding would be a small, intimate affair, and we wanted a photographer who could capture the special moments without being intrusive. Sidney was absolutely perfect! Communication was a breeze. Sidney was always responsive, and they took the time to understand our vision for the day. He arrived early arrived and with an assistant and both blended seamlessly into the background. They captured candid moments of our family and friends, as well as some beautiful posed portraits. We received the sneek peak very quickly and the only "hard part" is picking from all the many photos to move on to the final gallery!

Adam Falgout Photography

Wedding Photography is so Satisfying! I refer to my style of shooting as “the sniper”. People often tell me when they see a photo pop up on the screen right after I take it… “I never even saw you take that!” That’s the whole idea behind capturing truly genuine and candid moments that can’t be recreated… It’s about being sneaky, having experience and hustling your A$$ off to be in the right place at the right time… and I have so much fun doing it! I’m a proud father of 5 sons and a daughter (she’s the youngest)! I’ve shot over 550 weddings in 14+ years.

I promise you no one is providing the same experiences as Adam, especially considering the Live Photo Display! (In Real Time!!!!). Our guests were raving about seeing their pictures displayed 2 seconds after they were taken. He also put a high priority on finding outstanding photo opportunities.

I’m Barry Daley, a photographer and videographer with a passion for capturing life’s most unforgettable moments. For over a decade, I’ve been honored to document weddings and milestones, preserving the heartfelt details that make each story unique. With me, you’re not just a client—your memories mean as much to me as they do to you. I’m here to make you feel at ease, capturing the real, beautiful moments that tell your story. My goal is simple: to create lasting images and films that, years from now, bring back every emotion of your special day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Barry is a rare Gem. Photography is a huge deal for our family as my husband and I are very passionate about it. I lack the profound words to describe Barry’s work. He is reasonable, experienced and his end results do all the talking for him. His images captured everything that many use editing gadgets to portray. A simple black and white portrait makes you feel what a thousand colors may struggle to. Barry thank you so much for the amazing work you do.

Denis Reggie

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Baton Rouge, LA

With a warm heart and lifelong passion for capturing poignant moments, Denis is one of the most recognized and sought-after photojournalists for weddings of any size anywhere. Master of being everywhere yet nowhere to be seen, he quietly surveys and documents the scene often from the sidelines. His authentic and touching wedding photographs reveal a loving spirit with sincerity and depth as no staged photograph can. He discovers people at their relaxed best without prompting or posing, unaware of his camera or mission. He views himself as a witness and historian on hand to discover and document heartfelt wedding day moments.

Denis Reggie is not only an incredible wedding photographer who takes stunning photos, but he is also a wonderful storyteller. He captured spontaneous moments and expressions throughout our wedding weekend that truly tell a tale of great joy and beauty, feeling and fun. And he did so while being unobtrusive yet omnipresent. He also has an eye for the iconic, with photos that take our breath away every time we look at them. His albums are gorgeous — his layout and sizing of photos are artful and striking. Even many years after our wedding, Denis worked with us to complete our wedding albums (our life had gotten in the way!). Denis and his assistant Steve were the utmost professionals, yet I never got the sense that our wedding was just another wedding/job for them. Other photographers whom we had contacted before reaching out to Denis made us feel like they were doing us a favor, yet Denis — who has a greater reputation and far more talent — was professional, warm and kind. To us, Denis turned out to be more than a wedding photographer — we regard him as a very wonderful and integral part of our experience. We recommend him most enthusiastically!

Rock N' Roll Wedding Club

I've been shooting unique, non-traditional, very-traditional, queer, straight, weird, normal, sexy, just-plain-fun weddings for over a decade now. Don't think your wedding falls into that category? Don't be so sure. Your unique love deserves to be documented whoever that may look. If you want bad-ass photography that stands out, all while having fun doing it, we're what you've been looking for. Let's connect. We'd love to hear your love story.

I haaaate having my photo taken. I was super anxious about the whole process going into it. It takes a certain amount of trust to let someone photograph you... Jay and his Bellocq team were A from start to finish. We were blown away by A) the sheer amount of photos given back (they don't cap their packages at certain photo counts) and B) how seamlessly the entire collection flowed together from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be re-booking them for our family photos (first baby on the way!!!) in the future. Jay is incredibly kind and fun to be around, and just puts you at ease. That is the first thing you'll notice when you meet. Can't recommend Bellocq enough!!!

What you see is what you get. No fancy job titles, no big company, no outsourcing editing. My approach is always to capture the authenticity of the story unfolding before me. From the brief glimpse of a tear in a groom's eye as his bride walks down the aisle, the split-second stillness of a toddler, or the tender moments between a new husband and wife. I strive to create images that tell stories. Images that age like fine wine and make you feel exactly how you felt on your wedding day. It's about the little moments, the ones that happen in-between, it's about the connection, the laughs, the tears….it’s what makes your story…yours.

Daniel was amazing to work with! He executed our vision flawlessly and brought our wedding to life in a way that we will always remember and be able to relive through photos. We chose Daniel as our photographer because we truly love his style and w anted photos that weren’t your typical wedding look. He produces images that drive an emotion and captures the feeling of our wedding day. We couldn’t be happier with the photos and our experience working with Daniel. Our wedding was on 8/6 in New York so he was able to travel to us and was super approachable and open to getting getting to know our vision. We are to happy with the photos that we will be inquiring in the future for our future wedding needs even if it takes us all the way to NOLA :) - Jessica & James

Leah Flores Photography

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
I have used many photographers in the past but none came close to the level of expertise that Leah possesses. Over the years, I've done business headshots with her, family photos, and most recently my wedding. Since I have used Leah's services for other things before, I knew what to expect as far as photo-quality goes; the real testimonial comes from how she handled the wedding. Shooting a wedding in another country with a chaotic family is no easy task, even I wouldn't wish it upon myself, but Leah truly knocked it out of the park: she checked in before the event day to go over the schedule, showed up early, got all of the extra shots that I requested, directed people, and just really took charge of the experience. Having her as my wedding photographer was literally one of the only non-stressful decisions I made for that event lol. The photos turned out beautifully, I really can't imagine having anyone else capture one of the most important events of my life. I recommend her wholeheartedly!!

We are incredibly grateful Xenia was our engagement/wedding photographer and couldn't be happier with the results! The photos will speak to her technical talent; her professionalism and dedication to her craft are evident in every shot. It was so hard for me to only select 6 photos. What the images don't explicitly show is that Xenia was an absolute joy to work with. She is clear, transparent, and helpful in her communication. Her straightforward and friendly communication ensured we were always on the same page and felt supported throughout the process. While shooting, she is organized and efficient. We got every shot we hoped for and then some. Her enthusiasm and joy were infectious. She made these two awkward nerds feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I'm also a total foodie, avid reader, and love animals. Fun Fact: My favorite weddings to do are outdoorsy, nature filled, boho, romantic, modern or adventurous weddings! Also, heads up I will fangirl with you over your dress!

Working with Adriana was SUCH a blessing to our whole planning experience! From the start, she was so genuinely friendly & easy to work with! We were planning a wedding out of state and being local to the area that we got married, Adriana went above and beyond to help us! She even knew the venue we were renting and helped me understand what to expect so I could plan with ease! Adriana was always available to schedule a call with & was so patient with my communication through a busy summer! She was even willing to book last minute bridals following our wedding weekend to make our dreams come true of capturing the Teton scenery (not to mention, her immaculate vibes during the shoot!). On top of being the kindest person, she is so talented & captured every emotion from our wedding day in ways we couldn’t have imagined. We are so grateful for Adriana’s talent and kindness and absolutely recommend her to everyone!! Having a small and intimate wedding, Adriana truly felt like a friend celebrating with us! She is just the best!

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,850
  • Serves Baton Rouge, LA for additional fees

My name is Morgan Elise, and I have had a camera in my hand since I was around nine years old. I specialize as a storyteller & documentarian photographer. Nothing brings me more joy than capturing moments you don’t necessarily see… but I do. I am constantly looking for those quiet moments, genuine smiles, laughs, hugs, kisses, etc. I want to tell YOUR story as authentically as I can. My work has heavily been influenced by my intuition and empathic gifts, history, vogue, literature- mostly Jane Austen, and poetry. Before every session, I create a story of poses for each client, carefully curated for each person’s personal story.

When I was looking for a wedding photographer, my main goal was to find a photographer that could capture the raw emotions of the day. I looked through HUNDREDS of photographers and Morgan stood out for the way she balanced artistry, emotion, and detail. Morgan captured the most stunning images of my wedding. I am so impressed by the way she was able to capture our personalities in the photos. Not only did we receive beautiful still portraits, but we received pictures that made us feel like we were reliving the moments. That’s exactly what you want from a wedding photographer. On top of the beautiful images, Morgan is a joy to work with. She is kind and uplifting, extremely professional, and turns the photos around extremely fast. Morgan was one of the best choices I made for our wedding and you should absolutely choose her too.
