As your storyteller, my promise is to capture your love with a naturalistic approach, creating timeless photos that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Your wedding or elopement day is full of emotions and I'll be right there to capture them all. I balance a fine line of guidance and direction for posed and spontaneous moments throughout the day.

Captured By Aleena Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our engagement session. Aleena's communication was efficient, straightforward, and reliable throughout the entire process. The quality of her work is soft, natural, whimsical, and woodsy, with a wonderful candid style that captured all the special moments of our shoots . For our engagement session, Aleena made my husband and I feel completely at ease, even though we had never had professional photos taken before. She took the time to make the session feel personal and special, resulting in beautiful candid shots. We've continued to work with Aleena for family photos over the years, and she always delivers stunning, memorable images. We absolutely love Aleena's work and will recommend her to anyone, whether they are planning a wedding, elopement, or just looking for beautiful family portraits.

For some unknown reason I have loved weddings since I was a kid. That’s the first thing. But then… I got married. And that is indescribable. So… if you happen to be here because you have met someone special, and you are making moves, CONGRATULATIONS! You really are in for the ride of a lifetime. So… my first photos? Yup. They were from a wedding! Unfortunately they took the human knee as their subject because I was short, because I was five years old. One auspicious day I brought a camera to a friends’ wedding. I partied. I had a fabulous time. Afterwards they told me I should have said something, my photos were better than the hired pro.

We hired Paul for our San Francisco wedding and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. In addition to beautifully (and creatively) capturing the energy and excitement of the day, Paul was also an absolutely pleasure to work with at ever step of the way. Our wedding was in San Francisco this past August and had approximately 65 people in attendance. To say that we had high expectations for our wedding photographer was an understatement: we wanted someone who would be able to capture the dynamic energy and emotion of our big day in a natural, joyful way. I am happy to say that Paul exceeded all of our expectations and then some. We initially reached out to Paul in February through his website and we scheduled an introductory phone call. At that time I was chatting with a few different photographers in the Bay Area but was impressed at Paul's thoughtful questions regarding our vision of big day as well as the logistical considerations (venue locations, lighting , size, etc). From our first meeting at his lovely home, Paul was kind, thoughtful, considerate which made us feel like we were in good hands and helped put us at ease during the craziness of the planning. He asked us to consider which moments would be most important to our wedding and helped us think through the logistics of the day. Paul was also helpful in planning some of the big day itself: we had scheduled a city tour with our guests to occur between the ceremony and reception but were unsure where to go in the city. He recommended locations that would be both enjoyable for our guests and would make good backdrops for photos. In addition to the city tour, the day itself had a lot of moving parts which could have been really challenging to photograph (indoor ceremony in City Hall, outdoor brass band parade in full sunlight, indoor reception with low lighting in small antique store). Paul and his second shooter were well prepared and able to shot gorgeous photos in every location. Paul was also very mindful of which moments would be most meaningful to us. For example, we had mentioned that we specifically wanted lots of dancing photos from the reception and so Paul made sure a remote flash lighting system was set up in the reception venue which made for some fantastic dance floor shots. We had also said that we wanted to make sure we had a lot of candid photos of our friends of family and so Paul made sure to mingle among our guests, putting them at ease and getting natural, candid photos of our loved ones. After the wedding, Paul was able to send us our sneak peaks only after 24 hours (!) and the full gallery a short time after that. At this point, I was already very impressed but what happened after that really blew me away: Paul emailed me a few weeks after the wedding to me to ask if he could photograph some details from the wedding that he wasn't able to get on the big day (handkerchiefs from the brass band parade, wedding invitations, etc). He told me that he felt that those details were important in telling the story of our wedding and he wanted to make sure they were captured. I realize that it would've been easy for Paul to simply send the photos he already had but the fact that he found it was important to capture all the small details really speaks to his thoughtfulness, professionalism and excellence. We can't thank you enough, Paul!

Sway and his team at The Uncommon Weddings are AWESOME! They were extremely communicative, professional and fun! My superpower is the way I connect with your vision. I see you guys on the best day of your lives. I see how well you two fit together, how in love you are, how perfect it all looks. And then I use my camera to make sure that’s exactly how you look in your photos. As someone who grew up *hating* all photos of me, I'm ultra aware of that for others. I still cringe a little when I think about having my photo taken, but I’ve found that it’s always easier when a friend is there to keep me laughing. My sense of humor (and obsession with bad puns) is the perfect way to break the ice for effortless, fun photos that help you feel your best!

Welcome! I’m Jose, a Southern California wedding & portrait photographer. It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about carefully crafting and capturing the moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love. Our images have been described as candid, emotional, moody romantic, airy and timeless. My photography evokes feelings of genuine love & affection and strive to capture such moments throughout the day so that you both can remember all the little details. Our goal is to create images that tell the story of your wedding day in the best way possible.

On top of that, he's highly skilled at both photo AND video. He's attentive to the details and is diligent about capturing the range of unique & personal touches. That being said, he's also fantastic at capturing those candid & special moments that we all hope to see. His technical skills are top-notch and his work is absolutely gorgeous. Life is full of amazing moments. Moments we want to hang onto tight, moments we want to never forget, moments we want to be able to re-experience anytime. There is a way to do just that - photography. How often have we looked at a photo and the whole memory comes flooding back? How often does a photo make us laugh or cry? When we share photos with others, they want to know more about the moment. We share the stories, and in doing so, we bring them in on the memory too.

Without Angela & James my wedding would have been postponed or cancelled. Angela gave me info to help my wedding possible in the time of COVID. And let me tell you... they are TRULY A BLESSING. The best investment we made for the wedding was photography. I told my husband that was something I would not budge on and I’m glad I didn’t, Angela and James became like friends to us. I text Angela on the holidays and even when my son was born! They pay so much attention to detail that looking back at my photos they captured moments that I didn’t even realize were a part of my wedding. Their turnaround time is remarkable, all the sneak peaks made me want to see more and more and when I got the final photos I was in awe of all of them. Thank you to Angela & James for capturing the beautiful moments of our wedding!!!! Such genuine people and I’m glad that we met them and built a friendship!!!!

Welcome to Arie T. Photography, a black queer woman-owned and operated traveling portrait and wedding photography service based out of the Georgia and Michigan! I've had the honor of capturing all walks of life across the USA with hopes of taking it worldwide. I'm known for my use of natural light, and "unposed” stress-free approach when it comes to my clients. If you feel like you’re awkward in front of the camera, I’ll take that as a challenge to prove you wrong because I can be awkward too.

We hired Arie for our wedding reception. She scheduled multiple check in calls with us to coordinate details before the date. She showed up on time, had good direction (like, she was good at herding people AND she was good at telling people to make tweaks so they look good), and blended in with the crowd. Looking at the results now and WOW they look even better than our memories.

Most of Daniela's work centers around the human experience, our shared existence, and the quest for revealing the truest form of each person that she documents.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I eloped last weekend at SF City Hall and just opened our sneak peek of Dani's coverage of the day... The photos are beautiful and so authentic to us as a couple. She did an incredible job and we are so happy that we were able to work with her. Throughout the process, Dani was very communicative and available to answer all of our questions. She also took the time to get to know each of us individually, our story as a couple, and our goals/hopes for the day which I think really contributed to her nailing the vibe we were going for. She helped us brainstorm how to get the most out of our 3-hour shoot time and we were able to get in an impressive amount of shots in two different locations without feeling rushed or stressed. Throughout the shoot, she did a great job balancing directing us with letting us just exist together, which resulted in really natural looking photos of us that don't have an overly-posed look. But she definitely got both of our good sides lol. She also handled a high-traffic wedding day at SF City Hall with grace-- there were lots of couples getting married at the same time and it took some coordinating to get the best shots, but she made it happen! Dani is warm, respectful and kind and brought exactly the kind of energy we needed to our wedding day! It goes without saying, but I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to commemorate their special day.

Hello! I’m so excited for the chance to work with you. I’m a former teacher who has always had a passion for photography. I started working freelance in 2015 and did a lot of my first jobs in the music industry. I shot Warped Tour a few times and even had one of my promos featured by AP magazine. I quickly realized I loved working with couples the most, and now focus on couple and family portraits and weddings!

Awarded Best of Zola
Thalia saved our wedding. We had to change photographers very last minute and were super worried about hiring someone new. Then we found Thalia and from the moment we had our first intro call with her we had a feeling that everything was going to work out. She was so professional, during our first call she was very well organized and clear about what she would need from us. She took her time to make sure we were a great match and to understand our vision. She was personable and kind, speaking with her felt like talking to a friend right away. She was considerate, during all parts of the wedding she made sure to give us time alone together and we never felt rushed. Even still she constantly captured the most breath taking photos. Lastly she was so much fun! Our guests loved her and thought she had the most wonderful energy. She directed us very well. Looking over the pictures I’ve never felt so beautiful. She even brought her own props to go with our theme for the pictures. A vintage camera and tray. Everything she did was so thoughtful. I wish we could have another wedding just to have her photograph it. You will not regret working with Thalia. We feel so incredibly lucky to have gotten the opportunity.

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + intimate weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people in love have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

My name is Laura and I am bilingual (English/Spanish). I moved to Arizona in the beginning of 2022 from New Jersey. It has been bittersweet to redefine myself in a new state. One thing I absolutely refused to leave behind is my love for photography. I moved here with my husband for a change of speed. It has been such a beautiful change! Just like you, I too am in love with the views Arizona has to offer. I am a nontraditional wedding photographer, I am there for all the feels that come with your big day. The tears, the smiles, the laughs, the dancing... Moody, warm and candid photography. Photos to make you relive the moments later

Raw By Laura was the perfect choice for our wedding photography! From our very first interaction, Laura was friendly, responsive, and professional throughout the entire process. Her communication style put us at ease and she prepared us for everything we needed to expect on our wedding day. When it came time to take our photos, Laura made the experience fun and flexible, ensuring she captured all of our special moments. She even provided us with a handful of edited photos for us to enjoy and share with our friends and family the day after our wedding, which was such a pleasant surprise! The final photos were absolutely beautiful and we were pleased with the quick turnaround time. We went with the "A Step Up" package, and Raw By Laura's transparent and affordable pricing made them an incredible value. We would highly recommend her to any couple looking for stunning wedding photography!

Hi, I'm Ricky, owner and lead photographer. Wedding planning doesn't need to be stressful. And you don't have to do it alone. I GOT YOU! You want to enjoy your big day, so I make sure you have time for just the two of you alone and I try to get you back to your cocktail hour as soon as possible so you can enjoy your friends' company. More importantly, I promise through my mix of direction and “fly on the wall” style of photography, you will feel relaxed and excited in front of my lens. All I ask of my couples is to be open-minded, open-hearted, respectful, and unapologetically YOU!! Bottom line, be exactly who you are and I will do the rest.

We hired Ricky - Goodeye Photography - for both our engagement and wedding photos, and holy cow did he blow us away. Hiring him was easily the best decision we made. From start to finish, Ricky was an absolute joy to work with. His professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail made every minute of planning and shooting a wonderful experience. I originally found Ricky on Instagram (@goodeye.photography) and after a quick scroll through his page, I instantly knew he was who we needed. Every photo in his portfolio had emotion and love in them. After finding his Instagram page, I reached out and he very quickly responded with all necessary information. He communicated clearly and quickly throughout this entire process which was very appreciated! I plan events professionally and half the time it’s like pulling teeth to even get a response from someone. Never once did Ricky have a delayed response or leave us with more questions than answers. My husband is what we’d call “camera shy” and was pretty anxious leading up to our engagement shoot as this was his first time getting professional photos done. And while Ricky always behaves in a very professional manner, he also is extremely personable, friendly, and frankly just straight up funny. We instantly connected with him and he made my husband feel so much more relaxed - heck, my husband even had FUN during the shoot which I didn’t think possible haha. It goes without saying that the engagement photos were absolutely stunning… each one better than the last. As the big day drew nearer, Ricky met with us regularly and assisted us in our agenda, timeline, and all these other small details you don’t even think about. On the day of our wedding, Ricky and his team went above and beyond to capture every moment. He has an incredible eye for detail and was able to capture the essence of our day beautifully. (Petition for him to change his name from Good Eye Photography to Incredible Eye Photography ;) After the ceremony was over and it was time for my new husband and I to sneak off during cocktail hour to take our photos, a lovely wedding guest managed to spill red wine all down my white dress. Before I could even flinch, Ricky immediately jumped in and said “Don’t worry, I can edit out these red stains in all the pictures.” One of the BEST parts of working with Ricky is also his quick turnaround time. I wanna say it was like 5 days after the wedding and Ricky had already turned around a handful of “sneak peak” photos - which is quite impressive considering how many other weddings he had booked after ours. And to no ones surprise - there wasn’t a hint of red wine stains in any of the pictures ) Our wedding photos are more than what we could have ever hoped for. I may be biased, but truly some of these pictures deserve to be hung in the Louvre. I cannot recommend Good Eye Photography enough (and on that note it’s worth mentioning that since our engagement photoshoot with Ricky, two of my other friends that were engaged have also hired him and his team for their weddings)! If you are looking for a talented and passionate photographer who will go the extra mile to make your special moments unforgettable and your planning process a breeze, then Ricky is the guy for you.

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Arbuckle, CA for additional fees

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

I cannot give high enough praise to Gabbi and her assistant Nick. Our other photographer backed out last minuet and we are SO lucky that Gabbi was available. Communication was super easy and all of the pricing was transparent and easy to understand. On top of all of that, the photos from our wedding are just stunning. I'm so impressed at how Gabbi and Nick always seemed to be exactly in the right place at the right time to capture every single special moment. If you can book Gabbi, you should. You will not be disappointed!

What if your photos actually looked and felt like you? Picture yourself 10 years from now on your wedding anniversary looking back at your wedding album with tears welling up in your eyes as you relive your day. Your wedding should not feel like a performance. Let go of boring wedding traditions, think outside of the box and create something unique that has never been done before. Whatever the perfect day looks like for you, why shouldn’t that be your wedding day? I am more than your wedding photographer, I am your guide, biggest fan, and the curator of your love story, I will also be the one tearing up from behind my lens.

Danielle was professional, warm, and knowledgeable. She guided us through every step of our day and weathered through unexpected torrential downpours and hurricane winds all while keeping morale up for the whole wedding party! Danielle took the time to get to know what we wanted and needed from her and her intuition filled in the parts that we didn’t even know we needed. Loved Danielle, Love love love our photos, couldn’t recommend her enough!
