Gemini Sun Creative is an intimate wedding and elopement photographer serving Northern California, NYC, Upstate NY & Philadelphia. Owner, Daniela Monzi, specializes in elopement and intimate wedding photography. With each couple she works with, she strives to show off the unique traits of their love story in every photo. Her passion for her work is most deeply connected to the process of telling people’s stories through photographs. Most of Daniela's work centers around the human experience, our shared existence, and the quest for revealing the truest form of each person that she documents.

While my photography journey began as a young child, I honed my craft more thoroughly at the San Francisco Art Institute, receiving a BFA in 2017. I was fortunate to study with and among leading artists and artistic minds. I bring this experience and perspective to each and every shoot. I have always marched to the beat of my own drum (hi, enneagram 4w5 here). My heart lies with storytelling and creating art. It was when I started photographing intimate weddings and planning my own elopement, that I felt the same twinge of sparkles in my stomach that I get when I am creating my fine art, that I knew this was something I was called to do.

    My partner and I eloped last weekend at SF City Hall and just opened our sneak peek of Dani's coverage of the day... The photos are beautiful and so authentic to us as a couple. She did an incredible job and we are so happy that we were able to work with her. Throughout the process, Dani was very communicative and available to answer all of our questions. She also took the time to get to know each of us individually, our story as a couple, and our goals/hopes for the day which I think really contributed to her nailing the vibe we were going for. She helped us brainstorm how to get the most out of our 3-hour shoot time and we were able to get in an impressive amount of shots in two different locations without feeling rushed or stressed. Throughout the shoot, she did a great job balancing directing us with letting us just exist together, which resulted in really natural looking photos of us that don't have an overly-posed look. But she definitely got both of our good sides lol. She also handled a high-traffic wedding day at SF City Hall with grace-- there were lots of couples getting married at the same time and it took some coordinating to get the best shots, but she made it happen! Dani is warm, respectful and kind and brought exactly the kind of energy we needed to our wedding day! It goes without saying, but I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to commemorate their special day.

    I would like to start by saying there will never be enough words to express the love, gratitude and absolute awe my husband and I have after working with Dani. From the first call to saying goodnight on wedding day, Dani was an absolute dream to work with. I come from a large family and have been to about 30 weddings thus far and one of my biggest fears in getting married was feel like I was just another bride, my wedding was just another event and that I wouldn't feel special. I expressed these fears to Dani on our first call and I genuinely feel that even if I didn't, she would have still gone out of her way time and time again to make us feel like we were her only couple. Dani is extremely organized. She provided questionnaires, follow up calls and timely responses in order to ensure she had all of the information she needed to capture our weekend. (Yes, weekend). Something I am so impressed by were the inclusions in the package we chose. Dani came the night before for our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, brought a second shooter and additional forms of documentation (ie. film and polaroid). To say that this package was worth it, is an understatement. Now lets get to the pictures. HOLY COW. The absolute artistry this woman possesses is unmatched. From the details, to the directions given, to the LIGHTING, she knew exactly what she was doing and made the whole day go smoothly. She provided us with previews a couple days following our wedding and my goodness. I am still speechless. By far the most magical, romantic, colorful yet moody, PERFECT photos. Better than I could have ever imagined. With all that being said, money cannot buy the quality of service she provided for Derek and I and genuine friendship. I know this review is long, but if you made it this far, hire Dani. She will be a forever friend of mine and I will cherish her just as much as the beautiful photos she captured on our wedding day.     Our day with Dani was like a dream come true. When my fiancé proposed in the breathtaking Lake Garda, I was completely swept off my feet. Dani’s talent shone through in every shot—each photo was a stunning capture of our joy and the beauty of the day. I found myself in tears looking through them, so perfectly did they convey our emotions. Dani had this incredible knack for giving just the right amount of direction while letting everything feel so natural and candid. It was amazing how she made us feel at ease, despite the excitement, and her presence made the whole experience flow effortlessly. Dani's warmth and skill turned what could have been a whirlwind day into a series of perfectly captured moments. I can’t recommend her enough to couples who want not just gorgeous photos but a truly heartfelt and memorable experience.

    Dani and I have known each other for 15 years, which is wild within itself. I’ve watched her photography journey for a long long time. Which is why the second we got engaged I KNEW we would hire her. We had an engagement shoot, as well as an “our day” vow shoot. Let me tell you, my husband and I are very much “guide us and we’ll follow” people. We’re indecisive, we’re go with the flow people, and that’s not always easy to work with. Dani from day one has guided us and taken care of EVERYTHING. From giving us options/ideas and brainstorming, to nailing the plans in place once we decided what we wanted to do. We had our vow day shoot in the Dolomites in Italy. Sebastian and I have never traveled like that together and Dani literally planned everything including what hike we were taking and timelined everything out. Which is exactly what we explained we needed and were looking for when working with her. She took everything we wanted and what we explained we wanted each experience to be like, and she nailed it. Nailed the photos. Nailed the locations. Nailed being an all around fantastic and easy person to work with. She also stayed in contact with us throughout the entire 2 years we have been planning together. She was our cheerleader, our planner, our listening ear, without a doubt I would recommend her to everyone and anyone. Not to mention these photos are to die for, and everyone is obsessed!
