Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Suggested attire is garden party (think sun dresses, light colored suits, dress pants, button down long- or short-sleeved shirts, elegant rompers, etc, essentially summer wear but slightly elevated), however, please wear whatever you feel comfortable in! August weather in Washington is often sunny but it would be wise to bring a layer for the evening after the sun sets. Note that the event will be on grass, if choosing to wear heels you may prefer block heels or wedges.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

From the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry, if driving turn left on Winslow Way, turn right on Grow Avenue, turn left on Wyatt Way, and follow Wyatt Way until you get to Zach & Eli's Dahlia Stand. This is where drivers can drop off passengers, to avoid walking down the hill from where the parking is located (see next FAQ).

Is there parking?

Answer

We ask that guests not park at house as parking is limited and will be reserved for those with mobility concerns (if that is you please reach out to us!). Free parking will be available at the St Barnabas Church parking lot at 1187 Wyatt Way NW and is just a short (6 minute) downhill walk to the venue. If you are driving you are welcome to drop other folks in your party off at the Dahlia stand and drive back up to park at the church. Please note that Wyatt is a busy road, please be careful when crossing the road and walking on the shoulder.

Are there public transportation options?

Answer

Bainbridge's public transportation is limited but there are cabs that can be caught from the ferry terminal or called for pick up such as Viking Cab Co (360-244-4420) or Taxi & Tour's (206-842-7660). If you are planning on imbibing at the reception please have a designated driver or plan to call a cab or one of the few Uber's on the island (note that these Ubers are not always available).

What about COVID?

Answer

We ask that you only attend the wedding if you are feeling healthy (this is just good advice always whether that be from COVID, colds, flu, etc). The gathering is outside which will provide another measure of safety. And we strongly encourage everyone to be up to date on COVID vaccinations.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately we do have to put a cap on how many people we can invite. Check your invite to see if you have "and guest" or the name of your partner written on it.

Are children invited?

Answer

You should expect to see the name of your children on your invite and they are very welcome! However if you prefer not to bring them that is up to you! We will have our little Ezra joining :)

What is a silent disco?

Answer

It's a typical wedding reception dance floor except the music is played through individual headsets, which will be provided. There will be three "stations" to choose from, each lighting up your headset with a different color and playing a different genre of music so you can see what everyone else is listening to. You can change your station as often as you want! We (mostly Zach) wanted this because it gives people the option to either join in on the dancing or to chat and relax, all in the same space, plus it's a ton of fun!

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We have been the fortunate recipients of many wedding gifts in 2020 as well as many baby gifts recently. Whether you got us a wedding gift in 2020 or not, there is no need to buy us a gift at this time, the gift of your presence is more than enough!
