"Black-Tie Preferred" means please wear something dressy and formal, but no need to make any new purchases if you don't want to. Tuxedos, floor-length dresses, fancy jumpsuits, formal suits, and cocktail dresses all work - please don't feel like you need to rent or buy something new!
Yes! We'll collect food allergies and requirements on your RSVP form a bit closer to the wedding.
Please see our "Getting Here and Where to Stay" page for more information - Ubers and Lyfts are very common and frequently available throughout RVA. We recommend utilizing these share-car services for bopping around town. We know many of our guests are coming from along the East Coast, so driving is quite doable. Parking will be available at both the hotel and the venue for those who'd prefer to drive themselves around for the weekend. However, for those that do not want to drive on Saturday afternoon or who do not have a car, we will be offering shuttles between The Omni and Dover Hall.
We have reserved a block of rooms at The Omni Richmond and this is our recommended hotel for the weekend. We will also be hosting a farewell brunch on Sunday morning at The Omni. However, you are more than welcome to stay wherever you like! In addition to several hotel options, there are Airbnbs available for renting if you prefer your own home set-up for the weekend. If you stay somewhere other than The Omni, please be sure to let us know before you arrive into town. If you choose to stay somewhere else, and would like to take the shuttle to Dover Hall on Saturday, we ask that you make sure you are at The Omni ahead of it's scheduled departure time at 3:45pm ET.
