For the comfort and safety of our invited guests, we are taking precautions for our wedding celebration. We are requiring all unvaccinated guests to be prepared to provide proof of a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the wedding. Additionally, both our ceremony and reception will be fully outdoors, and all event catering staff will be wearing masks. Finally, we will have disposable masks and hand sanitizer available to guests throughout the evening.
Last August we moved forward with an intimate wedding ceremony at the Sheets family's home, so yes, we are already married! However, we still dreamt of celebrating our wedding and marriage with all of our extended family and friends! On October 2, 2021 we will have a vow renewal ceremony, followed by the wedding celebration we had always planned.
Great question! Please be responsible and don't drink and drive! UBER - We have added funds to create some Uber event vouchers. There are 50 vouchers that will give you $10 off a ride from 3:00pm on October 2nd until 10:30am on October 3rd. It's one ride per voucher, one voucher per person. Please find a buddy so we can stretch these vouchers as much as possible! To get an Uber voucher, follow: https://r.uber.com/rSjuos2QlvA TAXI - There are Taxi services in Sonoma County. One that does service the Glen Ellen area is Safe Ride Santa Rosa Taxi. Their number is (707) 544-9777. Be forewarned, taxi services will probably want you to pay upfront since they will be coming from other towns. Whether it's Uber or a taxi, it's a good idea to order your ride in advance. You wouldn't want to wait another 15 minutes just for your ride when you're otherwise ready to head home...
We recommend that you arrive at 3:30 pm - half an hour before the start of the ceremony - to make sure everyone is on time. We will start the ceremony promptly at 4 pm!
Sonoma Valley has lovely weather in October! The temperature is cool, with highs typically in the high-70s. Aside from occasional wind, the weather could not be more perfect. Wine country foliage is beautiful this time of year. All in all, autumn in wine country is a one-of-a-kind experience!
Our vow renewal ceremony will be outdoors. The reception will also be outdoors but under shaded cover.
The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. Feel free to go bold with fun colors, patterns, and fabrics that will be suitable for an outdoor evening wedding!
As soon as possible! Our wedding block at the Jack London Lodge has a booking deadline of July 1, and our block at The Flamingo Hotel has an August 2nd deadline. If you wish to stay elsewhere or at an Airbnb, we highly recommend booking no later than August 1 since everywhere is filling up fast.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening at the winery. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
B.R. Cohn has free, outdoor parking available for all our guests. We also suggest using Uber or Lyft to get to/from B.R. Cohn and carpooling with a designated driver to make your evening safe and even more enjoyable!
After the ceremony, guests will be invited to a cocktail reception at the winery, followed by a sit-down plated dinner and dancing.
Yes! All our guests are invited to attend a Welcome Reception on the evening of Friday, October 1st, as well as an After-Party immediately following the end of the reception at 10pm at the Jack London Saloon. Please see the "Schedule" section of our website for more details!
