Matron of Honor
Amanda met Whitney her freshman year of college, but it got off to a rocky start. It's often joked that they did not like each other at first. However a short time later, after being forced to hang out alone and Amanda sneaking into Santa's Village as Whitney took a picture, the rest was history. They have been best friends ever since and to this day Amanda is always up for an adventure.
Bridesmaid
Shyra was introduced to Whitney after she started dating Amanda. Shyra soon moved in with Whitney & Amanda to their beloved Federal Street Apartment. Shrya quickly became more than just Amanda’s Girlfriend and their roommate and is now Whitney’s life long friend.
Bridesmaid
Allie and Whitney met her first year at Salem State through a mutual friend. Luckily for both of them, they had the same class breaks, which allowed them to hang out regularly. Thanks to the many games of "Does Whitney Like This?” Whitney has Allie to thank for figuring out the types of beers she likes best. Whitney & Jason both enjoy beers & breweries and it is now a game that Whitney plays with Jason!
Bridesmaid
Danielle and Whitney met through their group of friends around the same time Danielle started dating Allie. Danielle (and later Allie) lived above Whitney & Amanda in their Federal Street Apartment and spent countless nights hanging out in her living room or on the porch. Danielle has always been someone Whitney can turn to when needing guidance.
Junior Bridesmaid
Chloe is Whitney’s eldest niece, nicknamed Cheez-It, currently attending Elon University in North Carolina. They often joke Chloe is her ‘little hot mess,’ in a loving, affectionate way. When Whitney would return from college or New Hampshire to visit, Auntie Whitney was always at every soccer game possible, cheering her on, and continued to do so until Chloe graduated.
Junior Bridesmaid
Ciara, nicknamed Cupcake, is currently attending Connecticut College. Growing up in New York City, Whitney looked forward to Ciara’s visits and always tried to spend a day with just the two of them whenever possible. She always admired Ciara’s sense of culture and art. Whitney cherishes her memories of visiting Ciara in New York, exploring the City, taking in Broadway shows, and we can’t forget the concerts - especially the Script at Jones Beach.
Junior Bridesmaid
This Fall, Sidney will be starting her Freshman year as part of Northeastern University's Honor Program! Countless hours have been spent on the sidelines of Sidney's volleyball games over the years, not only for Barnstable High School (18-time state champs…) but countless clubs and teams. Each of the 'kids' was given food nicknames after Sidney sent Auntie Whitney a snap where she drew herself as a Tomato because of a sunburn. Unfortunately, Sidney is the only one who does not like the food she is lovingly called - Matoe.
Best Man
Angel is Jason's brother-in-law. From a young age, Jason would ‘Chaperon’ Karen & Angel’s dates. Though neither had much of a say in the matter, it created a bond they have always maintained. Many of these nights were spent hanging out, watching TV, playing video games and watching wrestling. Friends for 21 years, they also enjoy the world of superheroes and syfy together. Jason has countless memories of joining their family and friends for live wrestling events.
Groomsman
Ryan and Jason met the summer before their freshman year of high school while practicing for the golf team. Though neither made the cut, they have been best friends ever since. Ryan is a merchant mariner and often spends much of his time at sea. But when he returns home, they often catch up on Marvel movies together or help with home projects. Whether he's near or far, he's always there for Jason when he needs a friend.
Groomswoman
Cori & Whitney grew up as sisters. It all started with the sharing of a room when Whitney was 4 and Cori was 2, which became a lifetime of often living in the same home and later in their adolescence their families sharing a duplex. Like sisters they fought often (sometimes still do) but they have always shared a special bond. Cori not only welcomed Jason into the family, but they have bonded over their love of Star Wars. She will continue to have Jason’s back as one of his groomsmen.
Groomsman
William, Whitney’s only nephew, nicknamed Biscuit, is a Junior at Barnstable High School. Jason and Will have bonded over all things geeky,(as Whitney would say!). Jason has shared his passion of the world of comic books and superheroes with Whitney and it has allowed them both to connect with Will on another level. Once safe they will be attending Comic-Con together.
Groomsman
Jeremiah is Jason’s oldest nephew and is currently in the 7th grade. Whitney & Jason fondly remember getting to see one of Jeremiah's flag football games at Tabor Academy. Later that season Jeremiah’s team, coached by his father Steve, would become the Mattapoisett Recreation’s flag football champions! They are so very proud of him for recently building his own gaming computer.
Groomsman
Isaiah is Jason's youngest nephew and is also in the 7th grade. He is often referred to as Jason's mini-me. (You could easily confuse their childhood photos.) Both love to joke around, play pranks and cause the occasional scare. Though they have many memories they will treasure from their recent Disney trip. Whitney and Jason agree their favorite of Isaiah will forever be exploring Galaxy’s edge which included flying the Millennium Falcon, being saved by the rebellion, building lightsabers in a secret cave, and waving ‘HI!’ to Chewy and Rae.
Flower Girl
Julianna is Jason's only niece, who is currently in the 2nd grade. Julianna calls him Padrinho which means Godfather in Portuguese. After her request to wear white, we are convinced she thinks that she's the one getting married. She is often reminding Whitney that "He's Mine!". She loves to act jealous of Whitney & Jason’s relationship. She will do her best to always squeeze between any hug, and make her own seat between us if need be but her favorite is to separate our hands, so she may hold them instead (with the hopes we will also swing her in the air).
Flower Girl
Stella is Allie & Danielle’s daughter. Stella is not only one of the most adorable kids ever; she is the perfect combination of Allie & Danielle. Whitney & Jason love any opportunity they get to see Stella. After years of living in Salem & on the Northshore, it wasn’t until Whitney was back on Cape that she visited the Peabody Essex Museum for the first time - with Stella!
Flower Girl
Alivia, also one of the cutest children you will ever meet, is the Daughter of their friend Karnya & Sean Haddigan and best friend of Stella. Though they don’t get to see her as often as they would like, Whitney & Jason always look forward to their time with Alivia at the lake house. We can’t wait for Stella & Alivia to hold hands walking down the aisle together.
Father of the Bride
Bill McNamara, Sr is the proud father of his four children - Wendy, Bill (Jr.), Walter & his youngest Whitney, all of whom share the same initials. Bill enjoys playing cribbage, watching his Boston sports teams, and volunteering for the Moose Lodge.
Stepmother of the Bride
Ivone McNamara is a native of Brazil, and enjoys visiting her families and friends often. She enjoys sewing, going to church, and watching soccer.
Mother of the Groom
Maria (Manuala) Pacheco, (and her husband Manny), are the loving parents of their three children - Liz, Karen, and the youngest Jason. Maria is a native of Portugal and the island of Saint Michael. She moved to the U.S. when she was only 17 and has 4 sisters, also named Maria.
Father of the Groom
Manual Pacheco followed Maria to the U.S. two years later, after being married in Portugal. Jason likes to joke that his father moved here right before the Blizzard of ‘78, but come to find out, he had been here for a couple years. He enjoys home repairs, gardening and fixing whatever he can find.
Grandmother of the Bride
Is Whitney's beloved Grandmother. Even before the passing of Whitney's mother, they shared a very special bond. They both enjoy crafting, a great deal and catching up on the phone.
Officiant
Sara, Whitney’s former co-worker, turned roommate, will be officiating the wedding. Sara met Jason the night of their first date, and it only seems fitting to be married by someone who means so much to them both.
