How did we get here?

We met during pandemic times, back in August of 2020. Caitlin had just started her own adventure, by moving out on her own to the Denver area, starting her Master's program, and Will had been in Colorado for a few years, but still looking to start some new adventures. Then during the month of September, the two decided to go out on a date. On September 19, 2020 their relationship officially began. From the beginning, their love was filled with adventures that pushed one another out of their comfort zones and encouraged them to trust the other. For Caitlin, it was Will teaching her how to fly fish, climb some of the highest peaks in Colorado, backpack across the backcountry near Leadville, and trust him that even if they veered off the trail for a bit, he would get the two of them home. For Will, it was Caitlin encouraging him to learn more about himself and tuning in to his emotions, just as any psych major would do. She got him to take numerous personality quizzes such as the Enneagram test, Myers-Briggs, and the Love Languages test. Through this, Will learned to trust Caitlin with his emotions, and vulnerabilities (and Caitlin did the same). Throughout the two years, Caitlin and Will have been through many exciting times, such as moving in together, as well as many hard times, such as the loss of a dear family member. These times have brought them closer together and made them realize how loved they are by one another and by God. God intended for Caitlin to send that message to Will via the Upward app, because He knew the love they would have and create for one another through all of their adventures, past, present, and future, would be a long lasting, unconditional love.
