First Friday Raleigh

First Friday, presented by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, showcases the vibrant art and creative community in Downtown Raleigh on the first Friday of every month from 6-9 pm. The free public event features a variety of local art galleries and studios, museums and exhibitors that stay open late, put on special events and often offer refreshments.

North Carolina Museum of Art

Home to an extensive collection ranging from ancient Egyptian mummies, a Rodin sculpture garden, Flemish still life, and modern offerings. Check out the Museum Park for large outdoor sculptures or take the connecting Capital Area Greenway for a nice bike ride or run.

North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences

An interactive museum with dinosaur fossils, hands on learning, and free admission.

Local brewery with a limited wine selection, outdoor patio, and rotating food trucks right near Cary's downtown area.

Founded by one of Whitney's high school classmates, Fortnight specializes in traditional English beers but sells a wide range of other companies' products.
