Maid of Honor
Hannah and I (Kayla) met in 2016 at Baylor University, but our friendship didn't bloom until we studied abroad together in Scotland in 2019. It was there we discovered our love for travel, croissants, and adventure. Hannah has been by my side through thick and thin. No matter where we are living, we've always made it a priority to be in each others lives. She is someone I confide in, no matter how scary the topic might be.
Best Man
Michael and I (Wes) met working at Fuge camp in Greenville, South Carolina in 2014 and then worked together on the same staff in 2015. This man has an uncanny knack of telling the hard truths. We have never lived in the same city, but have ALWAYS stayed connected through calls and texts. Michael has been my closest friend in all aspects of my life; whether it be discernment in ministry or life advice, Michael has been by my side.
Bridesmaid
Autumn and I hit it off almost immediately at Lynchburg Treasure Hunt in 2022. After spending 5.5 hours hanging out for the first time, we discovered we both love good deals, late nights, and real conversations. Whether it be showing up at 10pm to Autumn's house or helping with her investments, we know how to make anytime a GOOD time. Autumn is like the big sister I never had, but always wanted.
Groomsman
I met Eric in Knoxville, TN, 31 years ago. He made a BIG impression. Eric is not only my brother, but someone I have looked up to my entire life; so much so that I wanted to mirror his behaviors and interests in my own life. I have always been able to talk to Eric about anything, including break ups, job opportunities, and how I felt about Kayla. He's the kind of brother I can call at 3 am for anything. :P
Bridesmaid
Sweet Annie. My pal from "Jelly's" class senior year at Baylor. Annie has always been a consistent friend in my life. Through COVID, we kept in touch once a week to keep each other sane. Annie was the one who introduced me to Wesley in 2021, so you could say she's the reason we are here today <3. I am so grateful for our friendship and the way we have grown closer together. I couldn't do this day without her.
Groomsman
OH Phil! He has not been here as long as some, but the times he has been have been good! From the first real conversation of break ups to the random inside jokes, he has been my dearest friend in Denver. We serviced Hinge and COVID together and still do not know which one is worse. As we have grown together, I feel that he has helped me button up, while I have helped him button down. :P
Bridesmaid
The friendship that stared with a simple email. Jordyn and I became besties in 2021 after a 3 hour coffee date. I had no idea the impact she would have in my life. Jordyn is a strong woman of God who has always made me feel heard and supported. Her laughter can make anyone's day brighter. Jordyn is a friend who I know has my back no matter what and is willing to tread through difficult waters with me head first.
Groomsman
The first time I met Brent was on a bachelor party for my brothers wedding in 2013 in Chicago, Illinois. After closing down a few bars and then riding the Mega Bus back to Nashville, we became inseparable. Not only did Brent become a close friend, but also a mentor that I love and respect. He has been my mentor for ten years. We have been through a lot of highs, lows, goal-setting meetings, and a few nights at Zanies.
Bridesmaid
SHANA! The woman, the myth, the legend. The friend who should be TIk-Tok famous. This girl will make you laugh until you have nothing left in the tank. Shana and I met at Lynchburg Treasure Hunt in 2022. We quickly became a friend we didn't know we each needed. Shana has brought healing into my life and I am better because of it. This girl is a gem who reminded me of the value I bring to the table.
Groomsman
I met Zechariah at Tusculum College in 2010. A crew of us quickly became best friends through playing rugby, working out, and going on late night food runs. Zechariah lived down the street from me and we often spent our summers together. He represents a time in my life where I was a wild mustang, roaming the planes of East Tennessee. Zechariah has helped me grow from being a college guy to the man Kayla wants to marry.
Bridesmaid
My oldest friend. From children's church, to youth group, to college life, and beyond, we have always found a way back to one another. Alesha holds a special place in my heart because she's the friend that 'just gets it' no matter what words are spoken. We have always known how to pick up where we left off. Hands down, we know we love one another and will always be there for each other in the highs and lows of life.
Groomsman
Ryan and I are cousins, but he has been more like a brother in my life. I remember going on trips and laughing at the silly things we would do. Even as we have been on opposite sides of the country, our friendship has never wavered. Ryan has been by my side and has even given me a nick name that has not left to this day. I was there on the day he got married now he is here for me on the day I say "I do". .
