Important Things to Consider

We have connections with a travel agent, so please let us know if you are having trouble finding a place to stay! The most common places to stay in Positano include villas and private homes. These can be booked through VRBO or AirBnB, but they do fill up quickly. They can also be booked through hotels.com, tripadvisor, and Google. Again, our travel agent will be happy to help you! *** Please make sure your passport satisfies the 6-month validity passport rule. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport will expire at least six months after the final day of travel. ***

Flight

Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO)

OPTION #1: From the Leonardo da Vinci International- Fiumicino Airport (FCO), you will have to take a quick 20-30 minute taxi or train ride to Roma Termini. From there, you will hop on a non-stop train ride (Frecciarossa or Italo) that will take about one hour to get to Napoli Centrale Station. (Train ticket is approximately (TBD)). Then, from Napoli Centrale Station, it is about 45 minutes to get to Positano by shuttle or taxi (reminder, since everyone will arrive at different times, you will have to arrange your own transportation). Prices for taxi/car service from Naples to Positano vary between $110-$130. You can book a car service on positanocarservice.com or mydaytrip.com. Taxis will also be available at the Napoli Central Station. You can also take a bus, however, it will take about five hours. Train tickets can be booked on raileurope.com.

Flight

Naples International Airport (NAP)

OPTION #2: Fly directly to Naples, Italy. * (this is the more expensive yet fastest option) From Napoli Centrale Station, it is about 45 minutes to get to Positano by shuttle or taxi (once again, since everyone will arrive at different times, so you will have to arrange your own transportation). Prices for taxi/car service from Naples to Positano vary between $110-$130. You can book a car service on positanocarservice.com or mydaytrip.com. Taxis will also be available at the Napoli Central Station. You can also take a bus, however, it will take about five hours. Train tickets can be booked on raileurope.com. Fareboom, Hopper, and Scott's Cheap Flights are great websites to check for airfare! Currently, round-trip airfare is (TBD) per person from Charlotte to Rome (found on fareboom.com). Another good website to check is skyscanner.com. Tickets from Charlotte to Naples are approximately (TBD). * FYI: When checking these websites, make sure luggage is included in the total price.

Play Airlines

A newer (and cheaper) traveling option! PLAY is offering affordable flights to wonderful destinations in Europe-- it's practically a steal. If you'd like to try it out, multiple guests have said they will be booking their flights through them! If you are planning on exploring other countries on your trip, PLAY flies out of Boston & DC and has flights to Spain ranging from 300-400 USD.

There are many companies that provide private transfers, however, we have provided an example of a reputable transportation company local to Positano (listed above). It is about 45 minutes to get to Positano by shuttle or taxi (once again, since everyone will be arriving at different times, please arrange your own transportation). Prices for taxi/car service from Naples to Positano vary between $110 - $130 USD.
