we're going to italy!

Casey and Justin first met when they were in college in their freshman year seminar class at Appalachian State University. It was actually both of their very first days in college! Justin had just finished serving in the U.S. Army, while Casey had just graduated from high school in South Carolina. During this class, they were assigned as partners for a group project where they completed service hours by passing out Halloween candy at a nursing home. They remained acquaintances, but never dated— Casey did, however, convince Justin to come to IHOP with her after class one day (she swears it was just two friends going to dinner), but nothing ever came of it. Fast forward to three and a half years later when Justin responded to a Facebook post in which Casey was asking for help with moving into her new apartment. The post offered the volunteer a free meal in exchange for carrying some heavy boxes up a few flights of stairs. Justin refused to let her pay for his dinner, but they've been together ever since. Justin and Casey lived together in Boone, NC, before leaving their college town and relocating to Monroe, NC for work. Together they live with their two dogs, Frankie and Ginger, and their cats, Ernest, Isaac, and Troy.
