Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport - (OLB)
Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (Northeast corner of the island, OLB airport abbreviation) is the closest airport to the activities and ceremony. Car rentals are available and very much encouraged given Hotel Su Gologone is a little over an hour drive south and most towns and villages are remote. Car rentals are directly attached to the small airport. Exit, go right.

Cagliari Elmas Airport - (CAG)
Cagliari is southern tip of Sardegna and a little further than Olbia from our wedding festivities (about 2 hours in comparison to 1:20). Cagliari May have some preferable flight options and more economical than Olbia. Google map it to make sure you know where you’re landing!

Some flights might be more economical to book round trip from your main airport to a large European city and then booking a round trip into Sardinia, Italy....If you’re trying to save a euro for your Euro adventures!

Momondo is used mainly by Europeans for cheap flights. Easyjet, Eurowings, Condor are decent airlines for short flights around Europe.
Rental Car
Rental Car - Olbia Airport
Renting a car is definitely recommended, especially for day excursions and getting to Su Gologone or from one town to the next, as most towns are remote. Hertz, Thrifty, Win, Gold Car, and Budget are available just to name a few... renting a car is highly advised, otherwise getting around will be challenging. NO UBER/LYFT is available!

The picture above says it all. Su Gologone is paradise in the foothills of the mountains of Sardinia. It's a no-brainer why Will had zero chance of convincing Vivia to get married in Pittsburgh. You'll love this traditional and rustic heavenly slice of old school Italy. Rooms have been reserved under the 'Vivia-Will Wedding' block. If you're staying at Su Gologone (encouraged), it'd be best to call or email the hotel directly to make sure you get the wedding guest rate. VRBO and AirBnb's are available and plenty of options to chose from. Oliena, a locals resident town, would be the closest to the ceremony activities. However, Cala Gonone and Orosei are coastal and perhaps more preferable for vacation. Santa Lucia, La Caletta as well as our little village S’Ena Sa Chitta are closer to Il Moletto and summer beach fun.
