The Kaaterskill Falls
The Kaaterskill Falls is the highest cascading waterfall in New York State. Dropping in two tiers over 260 feet, the falls have been one of the region's most popular destinations for centuries. The hike is a short 1.4 mile roundtrip and let's hikers climb high enough to view the Hudson River Valley as it snakes below.
Cooper Lake
If you're up for a 45 minute drive, you can head south to Woodstock and check out Cooper Lake - the largest natural lake in all of the Catskills. While you're there - you can explore some incredible Woodstock art galleries & shops.
Catskill Scenic Trail
This 26-mile Rails to Trails project offers a hard packed surface for hiking, biking, and running. It features a gentle grade with only a 400-foot change in elevation for the entire length. Designated parking is available in Stamford at the historic Depot at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and South Street. There is also a parking lot north of Route 10, just east of Bloomville. Additional parking is found at Route 30 and Ferris Hill just south of Grand Gorge!
Scenic Chairlift Rides
It's no secret that we're big skiers! It's what drew us to the town of Windham to begin with. If you're looking to take in the summer views of Windham ski mountain without having to hike, take the chairlift up and enjoy a bite at Windham Mountain Club afterwards.
Horseback Riding at Mountain Brook Farm
Really get into the 'mountain retreat' mindset by taking in the view on horseback. Mountain Brook Farm offers a multitude of services catering to first-timers and equine enthusiasts alike! You can get riding lessons, or go on an hour long trail ride.
Windham Golf Club
For our golf lovers, Windham Golf Club is an expansive course with spectacular views. Open to the public, the 18-hole golf course at Windham Mountain Club mixes challenge and playability to provide enjoyment for golfers of various skill levels. Following your round, enjoy a pint at Mulligan's Pub on course.
Christman's Windham Golf Courses
But wait! There's even more golf! Established in 1805, Christman's Windham House is the home of two unique golf courses in the Catskills. Take your pick between the Mountain Course or the Valley Course.
Town Tinker Tube Rental
Want to make a splash? How about some whitewater tubing! For over 30 years, Town Tinker Tubing has provided whitewater equipment for adrenaline seekers in the Catskills. This is not a lazy river ride... you'll be tubing down whitewater which means your ride will come across some rapids. Someone please do this, we beg of you.
Howe Caverns
Up for a drive north? Checkout Howe - a prehistoric cavern 6,000,000 years in the making. You don't have to be a serious caver to appreciate the geology. Your specially trained tour guide will help you navigate the cave and teach you about the magnificent limestone stalagmites and the tremendous conservation effort underway to protect the Caverns. Give them a call if you want to make a group reservation!

For just $5.50 a pound, handpick your own blueberries! After picking & eating your way through the vines, enjoy a few glasses of Blue Sky's wine. Note - this location is cash only.
The Vineyard At Windham
Anyone who enjoys trying out new wine should give Windham Vineyard & Winery a shot. Sitting on 4 acres, the vineyard overlooks Windham Mountain and its surrounding year-round beauty. They not only produce wine, but also source the best rated wines that New York State has to offer from the Finger Lakes all the way down to the renowned North & South Forks of Long Island.
Union Grove Distillery and Arkville Brewstillery
Union Grove Distillery is a family-owned, farm licensed craft distillery. Come stop by for craft cocktails and local craft beer/wine and stay for free tours and tastings. This spot it BYOF (bring your own food).

Millrock Restaurant & Bar Room
This bright dining room is located just across from Windham Mountain Resort and serves seasonal variations on traditional Italian food. The menu is dominated by seafood such as frutti di mare and other fish, with a particular focus on salmon. No reservations, so walk on in!
Woodstock Brewing
Woodstock Brewing was founded by two friends with a passion for beer and tinkering. The brewery has grown from a 1/2 barrel pilot system in a Woodstock garage to a 15 barrel brewery. Come enjoy a flight & a bite!
Susan's Pleasant Pheasant Farm
Want to get out on the water? Rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards or jump in the swimming hole on Lake Wawaka! You can make a whole afternoon of it and set out on lake hiking trails and enjoy a packed lunch at their picnic tables.
Brushland Eating House
If you're willing to make the 50 minute drive west to Brushland... you won't be disappointed. Voted one of the 200 best restaurants in the world, Brushland welcomes back the age old traditions of eating houses. Check out their story online, see if there's availability to book on Friday September 5th, and consider making the trek for this unique culinary experience!
