The Wedding Website of Alexis Unwalla and Gavin Patton
Curious to learn about our venue? Blenheim Hill Farm is located in the Catskills, just 3 hours northwest of NYC. It is a rustic venue on a 150-acre sustainable farm with history dating back to the 1700s. In the late 1740s, Blenheim was the site of skirmishes during the American Revolution. After lying dormant for centuries, the farm was restored by New York City restauranteurs who have revitalized the property. Now home to a hydroponic greenhouse, livestock, and honey beehives, the sustainable farm provides all of the ingredients for our farm-to-table style wedding. We hope you're as excited as we are to spend the evening there!
Question

Where is the best place to stay?

Answer

We're recommending everyone book lodging in the town of Windham, primarily at the Wylder Hotel (or next door at the Albergo Allegria - a bed & breakfast style stay). Not only is our Friday welcome drink event an easy 3 minute walk from Wylder, but our Saturday bus transportation will pick up & drop off there as well. If Catskills Airbnbs are more your vibe, there are quite a few options - we just recommend you map out how close they are to Wylder if you plan on taking advantage of the scheduled transportation!

Question

When should I book accommodations?

Answer

We recommend booking as soon as possible! There is high demand for lodging in the area, particularly in the early fall months when New Yorkers are heading up north to escape the city.

Question

Can I call an Uber to & from the wedding?

Answer

Because the Catskills are so remote, Uber/Lyft is unreliable. But not to worry, we will provide bus transportation the entire evening! If you'd still like to book private transportation, we recommend coordinating with a car service as soon as you secure your accommodations. Taxi options: A&D Taxi: (607) 433-1726, Absolute Taxi: (607) 287-4256, C&C Taxi: (607) 434-6531

Question

Is there parking at the farm?

Answer

On-site parking will be available if you are driving yourself to the farm for the ceremony/reception. We prefer all guests who plan on drinking to take advantage of the bus transportation we've secured out of Windham. You also have the ability to leave your car overnight, take advantage of the buses home, and pickup Sunday morning. Just make sure to note it accurately in your RSVP.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We adore your children, but we're giving you the night off! We have chosen for our wedding to be an adult-only occasion and cannot wait to celebrate with you.

Question

I'm trying to plan what shoes to rock. What's the terrain like?

Answer

Our ceremony takes place in front of a large pond where guests will be on grass. Following the ceremony, guests will walk up a grassy slope to the reception barn. There may be a few moments of gravel walking, but once the reception kicks off you'll be on stone paths & wood floors the entire evening.

Question

What's the food plan?

Answer

There are many wonderful things about Blenheim Hill Farm, but the food might be our favorite part! Most of the food for the evening will be sourced right from the working farm and the menu is pre-selected. We understand some friends & family may have food allergies or dietary restrictions, so we have included the option to leave us a note when you RSVP. Oh, and come hungry.

Question

Is there cell service?

Answer

Yes! Blenheim Hill Farm is fully equipped with their own service & internet. Once you arrive you should have full reception. Note - for anyone driving directly to the venue, you'll likely have issues with service while driving through the mountains. We recommend downloading the area map ahead of time.

Question

I've missed the bus. What do I do?

Answer

Of course you did. Just kidding. We have all our fingers & toes crossed this doesn't happen, but in the off chance it does... you can drive directly to the venue. Simply park your car on-site in the designated car lot space, and you can take the buses home to Windham at the end of the night. You'll just have to carpool back to the venue on Sunday to pick up your car before heading home. We strongly encourage folks to avoid any sort of personal transportation after our reception so you can drink & enjoy the night responsibly.

Question

Will there be animals?

Answer

YES. Make sure to say hello to Blenheim's 3 little goats when you arrive. You'll be able to spot the chicken coop out back during the cocktail hour as well.
