Can we bring our kids?

YES! This is a KID-FRIENDLY wedding, so please bring ALL of your kids - no need for sitters, and we are so excited to see all of them there. Come one, come all!

What exactly is the Haven?

Answer

The Haven is a homeless day center for all people in the Charlottesville City area. The sanctuary is located in the original structure, which was a Presbyterian Church, started in the 1800s, until it was bought in early 2009, and opened its doors for the first time in 2010. Now the Haven sanctuary hosts events in support of the shelter! All of the money spent renting the sanctuary and providing parking goes straight back in support of the Haven and all of the people who work there and, most especially, benefit from its presence. It was, in fact, founded by the same man who wrote and directed the film Evan Almighty! (http://www.thehaven.org)

Where do we park for the ceremony?

Answer

In the Water Street Parking Lot/Garage within 2 blocks of The Haven. Please try to leave the very few accessible parking spots right beside The Haven for those who have a harder time to walk longer distances. Save your tickets for 2 hour parking reimbursement!

Where do we park for the reception?

Answer

There will be some helpers directing you to park on the grass and surrounding area at the Stony Point Ruritan Club.

At the Stony Point Ruritan Club, 2835 Watts Passage Road, Charlottesville, Virginia 22911 - all the proceeds go to the local Ruritan Club, which hosts a lot of community events!

If there was one or two things you could ask for or need the most as wedding gifts, what would they be?

Answer

Michael and I desperately need a queen sized bed frame so that is number one. Things for the kitchen as well as linens are close seconds!
