Bride
Trudy is the bride. She loves the Syracuse Orange, reading, and her & Chris's basset hound, Ollie, in equal measure. She is the official taste tester of all of Chris's new recipes, and has even started to like some of the music from his video games over the years.
Groom
Chris is the groom. He is slowly becoming an Italian Master Chef by sheer will, is an encyclopedia of retro video game knowledge, and is your go-to guy for all your rocket scientist questions. He also loves Ollie, and admirably tolerates Trudy's Syracuse Orange obsession.
Maid of Honor
Maeve is the younger sister and lifelong best friend of Trudy. Maeve is best known for being the more athletic sister and the sister least likely to panic at the sight of blood. She loves Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran, buying the same shirts in multiple colors, telling Trudy "that's definitely a Trudy outfit," as she heads out the door, and can give a Netflix recommendation to even the toughest viewer. She may or may not have been a founding member of #FREEBRITNEY, and she still crushes on Ryan Gosling like it's 2004 & The Notebook just came out in theaters. Growing up, Maeve was the only kid to actually save all of her birthday money, and keep her American Girl dolls in their original outfits. This obsessive carefulness will make her the best Maid of Honor.
Best Man
Andrew & Chris met as Physics majors at Syracuse and through mutual friends on the crew team. They soon bonded over their mutual love of eating large meals. Andrew impressively would eat upwards of 30 eggs per week, and he and Chris both attempted a 6 lb frittata eating challenge their Senior year, which only Andrew completed. Trudy & Andrew also bonded during Pasta Roni binges after late nights out at Syracuse. He once spent hours writing a multi-page instruction manual for the online game, Clash of Clans, rather than complete his schoolwork, but he pulled through, and is currently finishing up the latter half of his Ph.D. at the University of Hawaii. A great motivator, Andrew once convinced Trudy to take up weight lifting. She lasted a single session.
Bridesmaid
Alex and Trudy have both lived in Binghamton for years, but only met when they started working together 5 years ago. Alex has been affectionately known as both "the devil on Trudy's shoulder" and "Banana Split 1 of 2" (Trudy is 2 of 2) after she talked Trudy into getting her first tattoo, a banana, on a girls trip to New York City. Alex is effortlessly stylish, has the best new music recommendations, loves a sushi date, and is the most amazing mom to her rescue dogs, Havi & Mocha. Always chicly humble, she was shocked when she read this bio.
Groomsman
Cory is Chris's oldest brother. He's a knowledgeable SciFi fan, and has a working ranking of all of the Star Wars films at the ready. He and Chris share a love of retro video games (they once dressed up as young Link and adult Link from The Legend of Zelda on the same Halloween), and bold facial hair- Cory's been growing his beard for years. He loves the Toronto Blue Jays, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, and baseball in general. Most of all, he loves spending time with his son, Jack, the ring bearer!
Bridesman
Andrew is Trudy's cousin, and one of her very first friends. While Maire and Maeve played Barbies, Andrew and Trudy spent lots of time making each other laugh, and planning ways to bother both Maire and Maeve. Known collectively as "the weird cousins," (a direct quote from their late grandfather, Papa) Andrew and Trudy love a good political argument at the expense of the rest of the family's ear drums. King of the Meme, Andrew keeps the family group chat lively & on its toes, when he remembers to answer his phone.
Groomsman
Kyle is Chris's older brother. He & Chris are just under 1.5 years apart in age, and they are both math whizzes. Trudy met Kyle before she ever knew Chris when they spearheaded their National Honor Society toy drive in high school. Kyle is a talented golfer & actually enjoys *watching* golf as well. He & his wife, Chelsea, are very involved in the Binghamton community & love sampling new beers at breweries along their travels. When the weather is nice, you can find him perfecting his lawn with vigor.
Bridesmaid
Brigid and Trudy met at Syracuse University when they became sorority sisters in their Sophomore year. Brigid now lives in the New York City & is truly a born Miranda (if you know, you know). She has an infectious laugh, tells the best stories, and was always prepared with a bag of wine for the pregame in college. Brigid is always down for an adventure- a good trip, a new bar, being a bridesmaid. She's the first to leave the football game, but you better believe, she's the *last* to leave the dance floor.
Groomsman
Jesse is one of Chris's oldest friends. They met each other during a very *special* emo hair phase in middle school (Chris's was worse). Jesse & Chris are both musical, and played together in nearly every school band and orchestra. Jesse was even in a very en vogue rock band in high school. He enjoys collecting Swamp Thing comic books, and got Chris into collecting Aquaman comics briefly. They have years of Magic the Gathering games under their belts, as well. Jesse's a farmer, and has a killer natural tan to show for it.
Bridesmaid
Liz is a lifelong friend of Trudy & the only friend as tall as her. After Trudy's dad was Liz's parent's best man, they met as babies, but reconnected in middle school when they both joined the swim team. Liz loves trying new sports, the Minnesota Vikings, and Harry Potter. She frequently helped a rather clumsy Trudy safely cross the street during lunch dates in high school & has seen more movies in theaters than nearly anyone. A Jill of all trades, Liz even coaches for the same swim teams she & Trudy were on. The tomboy yin to Trudy's girly yang, they always balance each other out.
Groomsman
John & Chris met at Syracuse when Chris joined the crew team. A born & raised Philadelphian, John introduced Trudy & Chris to the words "wudder" (water) and "yooughurt" (yogurt). John is a civil engineer, and Trudy once made him drive around Binghamton to assess the safety of parking garage & bridge supports (she's also not sure if "supports" is the right word here). John's diet is 99% family-sized strombolis, yet he has approximately 4% body fat (it's as unfair as it sounds). He's a Philly Marathon finisher & has the most glorious beard of anyone that Chris & Trudy know (sorry Cory).
Bridesmaid
Kali & Trudy both attended Syracuse University and overlapped there, but didn't meet until 5 years ago when they began working together. Even though Kali now lives in Texas, they've stayed close from 1,700 miles away. While she loves The Lone Star State and doesn't miss the cold, she still roots for the Yankees like any good New Yorker should, and loves the Syracuse Orange *almost* as much as Trudy. Kali is a first-rate deal shopper, a fitness enthusiast, and has the best restaurant recommendations. While she was in Binghamton, she very optimistically held out hope that Trudy would attend a cross fit class with her, which, while misguided, was very sweet.
Groomsman
Pat & Chris met at UMass Amherst, and later became roommates. They bonded over their remarkably similar retro video game opinions, and still watch Nintendo announcements over the phone together to this day. Pat has an extensive record collection and is always ahead of the new music trends. Pat & Chris are a match made in pasta heaven- they both swear by pasta being the best food group (they ate it ~3x per week, and always destroyed the evidence). Self-proclaimed "sauce scholars", they believe perfecting the ability to pair a given pasta shape with its most complimentary sauce will be a lifelong endeavor.
Bridesmaid
Maire (prounced "Mary") Grace is a cousin & lifelong best friend of Trudy. She is always on trend, and wants you to know her name is *not* Marie. She pulls together the best party snacks, drinks only the sweetest wine, and loves her puggle, Carmella. She collects vintage Barbies & embodies the essence of them- a true classic. As the two oldest cousins, Maire & Trudy's favorite thing to do together is to liberally exercise "seniority authority" (patent pending) over Maeve, Andrew, Mason & Brennan. Always the voice of reason, Maire once convinced Trudy to return as the cousin's Thanksgiving play director after a very dramatic exit due to feeling under appreciated.
Groomsman
Sam & Chris met at Syracuse when Chris joined the crew team. They were roommates on their own for one year & then joined the rest of the crew groomsmen in their Senior year house, affectionately known as "860 Acktown." Sam was consistently the best-dressed roommate (as judged by Trudy), and the least likely to leave the toilet seat up (thanks, Sam!). He and his girlfriend, Siv are currently traveling the country in a van & their Instagram content is travel inspo-worthy in the extreme (@sivandsam for your viewing pleasure). He's also a dog dad to two *precious* cuties, Theo & Gryffin. They're living the #vanlife as well, if dog pics are more your speed.
Bridesman
Zach is Maeve's boyfriend, Trudy's honorary brother, and Chris's "Buccatini Bro" in the kitchen. He enjoys a nice "Sunday gravy" any day of the week, and prefers to accompany it with an artisanal sour. While mild mannered in every day life, when the toasts end, expect Zach to be one of the first on the dance floor, and dragging Maeve with him. His secret skill is watching a Syracuse Basketball game with complete serenity while Trudy alternatively raises her blood pressure to unhealthy levels (while Chris repeatedly insists that "the first half doesn't matter"). Zach & Chris combine to make a handyman duo for the ages, and if left alone too long with power tools, will *always* find a project to tackle.
Groomsman
Steve is the last, but not least, crew team groomsmen. Steve can be counted upon to make any joke R-rated, and to keep the group on schedule. Steve moved back to Syracuse for a clutch, year-long period, during which Chris, Trudy & the rest of the crew team folks were all able to use & abuse his house for tailgating purposes. He has since headed to DC, where he lives with girlfriend, Allie, and their handsome rescue pup, Mac. Steve, John, Trudy & Chris have spent every New Years Eve since college together (except for during the pandemic), hitting a different East Coast stomping ground from the group each time. Steve has great hair, and an even better ability to style cowboy boots for everyday wear.
Usher
Mason is Trudy's cousin, and the first of the cousins she was actually excited to meet (she's since grown to like the others). He and Brennan were Trudy, Maire, and Maeve's personal baby dolls until they could walk well enough to run away. A true outdoorsman, you can find him & Brennan hunting or fishing with their dad, Vaughn, whenever possible, and trying to convince Trudy & Chris to eat the resulting meat. One of the quietest in the loud Karcher bunch, he keeps any group even-keeled & tempered.
Usher
Brennan is Trudy's cousin, and the youngest of the bunch. Brennan always gets the family started with trips down memory lane. He has a steel-trap memory, and is the first to say "remember when" whenever everyone is together. Brennan grew an impressive quarantine mullet & is considering having it reappear for the wedding. Besides Trudy, Brennan is Ollie's favorite family member, because he always gives the best ear scratches, and may or may not slip him more table scraps than his mother.
Flower Girl
Emily is a good family friend to Trudy & her family. She loves unicorns, big hair bows, ice cream, and the colors pink, purple & yellow. Trudy took Emily to get her nails done for the first time, and she couldn't possibly have been more glamorous. She has been looking forward to being a flower girl for a very long time, and we know she'll be the best in the biz!
Ring Bearer
Jack is Chris's (and Trudy's soon-to-be!) nephew, and the first grandchild of the family ("Milk it for all it's worth, Jack" -Trudy, also a first grandchild). He likes Spider Man, Link from The Legend of Zelda, and reading. Jack was an astronaut for 3 Halloweens & loves science just like his Uncle Chris.
