Trudy and Chris met at a Math Regents review session Sophomore year of high school. Trudy spent the two-hour session talking & giving Chris her number, while Chris payed rapt attention to their teacher. He would later tutor Trudy through two more years of less-than-focused math classes as they became friends, and eventually began dating. Senior year, after *much* persistence from Trudy, Chris asked her to be his girlfriend with the musical stylings of the Black Eyed Peas' 2011 Super Bowl Half Time Show as their soundtrack. They've been inseparable ever since. They attended Syracuse University together, and after graduation in 2015, dated long distance for 5 years, while Chris worked towards his PhD in Physics. During the last decade they've parented a hedgehog (RIP Tommy Prickles), and now their basset hound, Ollie. They've gone to countless concerts and Syracuse Basketball games, and on many road trips, and shared dozens of orders of creme brulée, which they always get if it's on the menu. In April of 2021, after 10 years of dating, Chris proposed to Trudy at the kissing bench at Syracuse University. Legend has it that students who kiss on the bench will later be married, so Chris & Trudy are doing their part to prove the legend true. On the day of the engagement her sister, Maeve, and Maeve's boyfriend, Zach, practically had to drag Trudy to said bench, after she got blisters giving them a campus tour, which was their excuse for getting her there in the first place. In true Trudy fashion, she offered a complete perusal of campus, before she arrived to her own proposal late & clumsy. Somehow, after all these years, she was still completely shocked when Chris proposed. Trudy & Chris are so excited to continue spending and building their lives together & are even more excited to celebrate doing so with their closest friends and family this summer. We can't wait to see you all there!
