Parents of the Bride
John and Kim “went together” in junior high and reconnected in college. They married on October 13, 1989. They’ve built their married life in Eldridge, Iowa where they make space for everyone; hosting card clubs and book clubs and the occasional person who needs a temporary home during a crisis. Kim loves to host, cook, play games and entertain. John loves to compete, teach, mentor and care for his family. They’ve enjoyed mentoring couples and their daughters about healthy marriage relationships rooted in Christ. They’ve had fun and success in marriage because of keeping the main thing, God, the main thing. Our favorite thing about Tor's parents is their friendship to each other and to us. They laugh easily and love relentlessly.
Parents of the Groom
Fred and Cassandra met in St. Louis, Missouri at the entrance of a Golf Club. They will be celebrating 29 years of marital bliss! They serve as Co-Pastors at Press Apostolic Ministries in Michigan. They have devoted their lives to serving each other and others. Cassandra loves to pray, teach, sing, volunteer, and host events. She lives for quality time with loved ones and makes an impact on all of those around her. Fred loves to preach, teach, fish, work on his boat, and watch Pirates of the Caribbean. The love and commitment he shows to everyone around him is reflective of his love and commitment to God. Our favorite thing about his parents is their ability to meet you where you are. The love they have for each other is the glue that keeps this big beautiful family as close as we are.
