We met in 2020, at the beginning of Arizona’s pandemic lockdown. We met on a dating app and quickly hit it off after discovering our mutual love for God, Spanish, photography, and for Freddie’s brand new puppy, Cyrus. Meeting in a pandemic posed first date hurdles. Our first date was at Jamba Juice and then we hiked in 110 degree Arizona heat— with the puppy. Neither of us wanted the night to end and we’ve pretty much spent every day together since. We got engaged in September of 2021 after Freddie took Tor on a tour to the locations of all of our biggest moments. We’re elated to commit to marriage and do life together forever!

Tor grew up in Eldridge, Iowa, a small town on the east side of the state. She spent her first 21 years engulfed in sports and the baggiest sweats she could find. After finishing her softball career, she studied abroad in Madrid and Costa Rica, where her love for her family’s native language grew deeper roots. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona and taught elementary school for three years before heading to law school. She is now in her final year of school and will be working as a civil litigator upon graduation in May!

Freddie was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Michigan before his junior year of high school. He loves music and plays the violin and keys. He fell in love with track and field in high school where he garnered the nickname “Fast Freddie” by his family members. After being graduated from Syracuse University with a million track accolades, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He currently trains with Phoenix Track Club and some of his closest friends.
