Kaitlin and Tyler fell in love thanks to a combo of kickball, basketball, friends, and guacamole! As luck would have it, they were invited to play on the same kickball team through mutual friends. They arrived at their first game of the season only to find out it was delayed due to a no-show team. Naturally, Kaitlin's ADHD kicked in, so she went to join a basketball game going on at a nearby court. Within a few minutes, Tyler came running over to join the game, only knowing her for a few minutes prior. They won the 3-on-3 basketball game but little did they know, the game had just begun ;). Later that night, they were sitting at the same end of a table and Kaitlin asked if she could have some of Tyler's chips and guac. He replied, "You can have as many chips as you want, Kaitlin." She had at leaaaast 3/4 of the basket, sorry not sorry, and went home thinking she may have a crush on this generous, mystery kickball cutie. Two months and countless kickball games and convos-about-this-massive-crush-with-friends later, kickball captain and bridesmaid, Lexi, gave Tyler the classic wing-woman green light at the end-of-season kickball party. From there, Tyler asked Kaitlin on their first date, which was November 17, 2022. The date lasted a few hours shutting down the restaurant and then closing down the brewery next door. Losing track of time and closing down restaurants on their dates would become a regular reoccurrence! It didn't take long for Kaitlin to see there was so much more to her crush and for Tyler to see a future with his favorite outfield partner. Together, they decided they never wanted to stop having chips and guac together.
