We suggest wearing something semi-formal. We will be having our wedding ceremony in a Catholic church, so please wear something that is appropriate for that setting. However, please do not stress over what to wear, we will be happy just to have you in attendance. Also, please check the weather...it can be nice and warm or quite chilly the end of September.
How exciting! We feel blessed that our nuptial mass will be your first time in attendance. Here is a short rundown of what to expect that day: Liturgy of the Word (readings from Scripture), the wedding vows, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. As Catholics we believe that the Eucharist is truly the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ. With that being said, if you are not Catholic or in a state to receive, as others are going up to receive, you can either stay in your pew or come forward for a blessing (either is fine). Many people joke that there is a lot of sitting and standing at a Catholic wedding, but they are right. Because our wedding ceremony is in the context of the mass, there will be a lot of sitting and standing. Don't worry though, you can just follow what everyone else is doing:)
The bride is with you in the struggle and we want to accomadate you as best as we can! Please specify any dietary restrictions or allergies on your RSVP.
For those of you coming in from Arizona, yes, Idaho is cold in the fall. Late September could be in the 80s or in the low 60s, just depends. We will also be having an outdoor reception so please plan accordingly.
Absolutely! We love children and hope they will attend with you. If they are going to eat a whole plate of food please include them in your RSVP, but if they will be having a few bites or eating off your plate, please leave them off of the count:)
