Dylan Huntzinger

Groom

Dylan was born in Oakland but grew up in Loomis, California. He won the district-wide Geography Bee in 4th grade, and would have continued on but was dethroned by freaking Nolan Hopping. Throughout his school years, Dylan unsuccessfully tried to make Jamaican shirts cool, crushed it in various school plays, and won "Most Liberal" in his high school yearbook. Dylan hung out chasing trains for a couple years before venturing off to UC Santa Cruz. There, he majored in Environmental Studies and optimized how to make Costco trips by bicycle. Upon graduating, Dylan worked as a naturalist at various camps around NorCal, climbed half-dome, and eventually made his way to Camp Arroyo in Livermore. During the pandemic, Dylan acted as the site supervisor and singlehandedly evacuated a herd of grass-eating goats from a nearby wildfire. He worked as human home insurance machine when he and Erica moved to Sacramento before landing his current job as official Water Quality Boy of the local neighborhood of Arden. On the weekends, Dylan is usually trying to locate a problem he can fix in their vehicles, planning his next D&D campaign, or trying to get as much sunshine as he can. Dylan's lap is decidedly the cat's favorite, and Erica isn't bitter about it at all.

Erica Engel

Bride

Erica grew up in Modesto, California, and was the first kid to get an Accelerated Reader score of 100 points at Woodrow Elementary School. Coming from a musical family, she started playing the flute in 4th grade and continued on until high school, and she has never lost out on First Chair. Suffering from an overload of AP courses, Erica coped with jokes and was voted "Best Sense of Humor" in her high school yearbook. Erica then went off to UC Berkeley, where she kept changing majors until she landed on Psychology and Theater. Taking a bunch of backstage classes and a scenic painting internship in Santa Rosa, she discovered her love of technical theater. After graduation Erica moved to live at home in Livermore, worked at Orchard Supply, and built sets for children's theater until she finally got her driver's license. She then moved out and started working at the Bankhead Theater downtown in 2017, where she discovered she was pretty good at lighting design for musicals. After meeting Dylan and the pandemic happened, they decided to move in together to Sacramento, and she decided to shift careers to Human Resources (with a little lighting design on the side). You can find Erica repotting houseplants, pondering which Ben & Jerry's flavor is superior, or taking photos of Norby.

Alec Irwin

Best Man

It all started on a dumb quest for a religious text, a play within a play. You can find Dylan and Alec wandering the streets of Loomis and Auburn, sitting above train tunnels and in Denny's booths, both pondering such ever-looming questions about human existence such as - What is the origin of memes? If you discovered D.B. Cooper alive and well, would you tell anyone? Alec occupies his busy brain by literally writing entire musicals, and is attending San Diego State University after spending years at sea in [CENSORED LOCATIONS].

Ashley Jennings-Rivera

Matron of Honor

Erica first met Ashley after being sat next to her in physics class, where she sang "Bohemian Rhapsody " while learning about Galileo. The fact you don't know who was singing signifies a lot about this friendship. You can find Erica and Ashley enjoying trips to the mall, complicated high-fives, singing in the car, late night existential crises, and a mutual love of their cats. By day, Ashley is a math teacher in Modesto and loves the color blue, long walks on the beach, and a good pun. She was officially hitched in 2022, and has enjoyed her tenure as an official matron.

Travis Allgeier

Groomsman

Dylan first encountered Travis loitering behind a theater, and they've been loitering together ever since. Teachers have been trying to separate their desks since 2011, as shenanigans abound when these two are paired up. Together they have outrun a train, and probably outrun many more scenarios we can't legally talk about. Travis is in his natural state with a beer in one hand and a power drill in the other, and he spends his days cooking and translating up in Auburn.

Teresa Andrade-Churchward

Bridesmaid

Erica discovered Teresa through a mutual a cappella friend on Facebook, and moved in with her and another stranger, Aditi, shortly thereafter (it sounds sketchy, but it worked out). Over the last few years they've survived a pandemic together, and Teresa has introduced Erica to such wonders as Boot Scootin' Boogie, RuPaul's Drag Race, and doing your laundry on time. Teresa's day job is saving the world as an occupational therapist in Livermore. She loves gem paintings, singing in the shower, and spending time with her imported husband, Glenjamin.

Clayton Engel

Groomsman

Clayton is Erica's older brother and first tormenter. Erica has been trying to live up to how cool Clay is for the past 29 years of her life, and is allllmost there. Clayton continues to be a superhero by working in the emergency room in Mountain View, and his sense of humor is impeccable. He plays ten million different musical instruments, reads history books, and actually enjoys studying. Clayton is single and ready to mingle!

Sarah Huntzinger

Bridesmaid

Dylan would like to give a special shout-out to Sarah, for being the one to make him a big brother. They were theater kids together in their youth, and you may run across these two petting the animals at any given family function. You can find Sarah dreaming about going back to Japan and fetching her dog's toys from under the couch, all while she's supposed to be studying for her classes at Sac State.

Brent Engel

Groomsman

Brent is Erica's younger brother, and is the nicest Slytherin you will ever meet. He works at Livermore's superior grocery store, Trader Joe's, and is definitely someone you want on your baseball trivia team. Brent spends his free time playing Mario and Sonic video games and learning about dog breeds. Contact him if you want to go on the Amazing Race!

Sophia Huntzinger

Bridesmaid

Sophia is the baby of the Huntzinger family, but don't let that fool you - she came in like a wrecking ball and has been tearing Loomis up ever since. Sophia is ranked number one on Dylan's list of family members that would survive the zombie apocalypse. Sophia will arrive 15 minutes early with a Dutch Bros in hand, and will always stay late to do the dishes. And we all love that about her.
