Erica was in Livermore and working as a theater manager, when Dylan moved to town for a job as a naturalist at Camp Arroyo. They matched on the dating app Bumble - he liked her henna tattoo and smile, and she liked his love of theater and "I listen to NPR" vibes. Erica had to make the first move, so she asked Dylan's opinion on musical composers Andrew Lloyd Webber versus Stephen Sondheim; to which he replied with a well-thought out five-paragraph essay explaining his thoughts. She very much liked this. They went on their first picnic/date in downtown Livermore on September 30th, 2019. Dylan rolled up in his liberal bumper sticker-laden van with his cowboy caviar and a mandolin, and Erica was successfully wooed. A few months of dating later, they both lost their jobs working with the public and found themselves quarantining in the same “pod” during the pandemic, where they forged their mutual love of terrible movies and themed dinners to get themselves through. A few vaccines and years later, Dylan and Erica now live in Sacramento with their adventure cat, Nørby! You can find them making bingo cards for bad movies, listening to Dungeons and Dragons podcasts, unsuccessfully fishing, and fawning over anything the cat does. They would eventually like to have enough backyard to own chickens named after the British royal family.
