Lady Bird Lake
On any of the more than 300 days of sunshine in Austin each year, there’s no better place to go than Lady Bird Lake. Whether hiking or biking the trails, doing stand-up paddle board yoga, or taking a river cruise, you’ll find no shortage of outdoor fun to be had in the heart of beautiful downtown Austin.

South Congress
On a sunny day, there’s no place like the SoCo district in Austin. Fabulous restaurants, funky vintage shops, chic boutiques, cool graffiti walls to snap your picture. This is a must-stroll for visitors and a popular hangout for locals. So much good food down here - HopDoddy burgers, Home Slice Pizza to name just a couple!
Rainey Street Historic District
Renovated houses turned into bungalow bars reign supreme on Rainey, the increasingly popular tucked-away street. Day or night, you’ll find relaxed bar-goers strolling from bar to food trailer to bar again, often with their dogs in tow looking for a kicked back sip and a bite.
Texas Capitol
The Texas Capitol is widely recognized as one of the nation's most distinguished state capitols. There are elegant and ornate details, from the giant brass door hinges (so beautiful that people have tried to steal them over the decades!) to the detailed handrails; brass chandeliers in the House of Representatives Chamber with light bulbs that spell out T-E-X-A-S. The Capitol grounds are 22 acres in the heart of downtown Austin, so there's plenty more to see after your tour inside! With 17 monuments, trees, and beautifully landscaped lawns, the grounds are a great place to explore, enjoy a picnic or learn more about the history of Texas.
