It was at ODU where he crossed paths with Stephanie, sparking a connection that would become a defining part of his life. Now, Tyler is a dedicated data scientist at NOAA, where he applies his expertise to unravel the complexities of marine environments. When he’s not immersed in his work, he passionately engages in a range of activities. Whether he's strumming his guitar, exploring new trails on a hike, enjoying the serenity of camping, casting a line in hopes of a big catch, or embarking on new adventures around the globe, Tyler embraces every moment with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Stephanie Stewart

Stephanie, originally from Virginia Beach, always had a gift for storytelling, but her life took a significant turn when she attended Old Dominion University and met Tyler. This pivotal encounter not only enriched her personal life but also set the stage for her professional journey. At ODU, Stephanie embarked on her path to a BA in English and BS in Psycjology, ultimately choosing to work towards her dream to become an established author, which eventually led her to Edinburgh, Scotland. There, she pursued a master’s degree in creative writing, immersing herself in both the craft and the vibrant literary culture of her new surroundings. Beyond her writing, Stephanie is a multifaceted creative. She finds joy in painting, exploring various craft-based hobbies, and delving into books that inspire her. Her passion for travel allows her to seek out new experiences and perspectives, enriching her work and personal life. On serene, rainy Sunday mornings, she treasures quiet moments spent cuddling with her cat, Bellatrix, and enjoying the peacefulness of these simple yet fulfilling routines.

Joshua Harman

Best Man

Joshua is Tyler's younger brother who's been around in Tyler's life - well, his whole life! He's been an important part of Tyler's life and has the esteemed honor of being the best man! Tyler and Josh bond over the latest video games, TV shows, and anime. Josh recently graduated with his second Bachelor's degree in Biology, where he now aims to attend graduate school for microbiology. Josh also has an impressive history in drama and musicals, landing the lead performance of Dr. Frankenstein in 'Young Frankenstein' his senior year of high school. When Josh isn't studying hard, he enjoys playing video games, traveling, seeing plays, and singing.

Kristy Stewart

Kristy Stewart is a beacon of compassion, intellect, and strength. As Stephanie’s older sister, she’s not only a sibling but a role model, paving the way for her younger siblings with her resilience and dedication. Kristy began her career saving lives as a CSICU nurse, where her calm under pressure and immense skill were invaluable. Now, as a nurse practitioner, she continues to make a difference in the lives of her patients, combining expertise with an unyielding sense of care. Outside of her demanding career, Kristy shares a special bond with Stephanie over their mutual love for Taylor Swift, a flair for fashion, and an appreciation for all things witchy and mystical. Together, they dive into the joys of learning, always thirsting for new knowledge and perspectives. Kristy’s blend of professional excellence, nurturing spirit, and creative curiosity makes her an inspiration to those who know her.

Sean Campbell

Sean has been involved in Tyler's life for as long as anyone can remember. Sean and Tyler became best friends back in 2nd grade in 2001 and have been inseparable ever since. Sean is a big STL sports fan, especially the St. Louis Blues and the newly formed St. Louis CITY MLS team. While not watching sports and cheering for his teams, Sean is involved with the River City Ramble podcast, which discusses topics around the hometown St. Louis CITY and other MLS news.

Jessica Calvert

Jessica is a compassionate nurse and an adventurous spirit who has traveled the world, embracing new experiences and cultures with an open heart, but perhaps one of her most cherished journeys has been her lifelong friendship with Stephanie, her best friend since the age of 3. Growing up just two doors down from each other, Jessica and Stephanie spent their childhood creating dances to Miley Cyrus’s “Nobody’s Perfect,” forming their very own band, *The Pink and Green Cold Frogs,* and skating back and forth in Jessica’s garage while belting out “Hey girl!” Their bond deepened as they grew, evolving into a sisterhood that has withstood moves across countries and continents and the test of time. They love nothing more than coffee dates filled with laughter, embarking on spontaneous adventures, or indulging in long, lazy days on the couch doing absolutely nothing together. Jessica’s warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty have made her not only a remarkable nurse but also the kind of friend everyone dreams of having. Brian has been a part of Tyler's life since they first met their sophomore year of high school. Brian is an extremely gifted musician and bonded with Tyler over their love of music, even being in bands together during high school. Brian took his love of technology and music and lived in Nashville, TN for several years studying music production where he met his now wife, Cristah. Brian now works as a software developer, and enjoys making music, drinking wine, and complaining about inferior fonts.

Ellen Hipple

Ellen is the kind of person who radiates warmth and kindness to everyone she meets. As a physical therapy assistant specializing in geriatric care, she brings unparalleled patience and compassion to her work, treating every patient with dignity and love. But Ellen's care extends far beyond her profession—her heart overflows with love for every creature and person on the planet. Since meeting Stephanie at the age of 8, Ellen has been the younger sister Stephanie didn't know she needed but instantly cherished. From that moment, they were thick as thieves, sharing a bond rooted in their love for animals, food, adventure, and *The Vampire Diaries.* Over the years, their sisterhood has taken them on countless adventures, from road trips and exploring Mystic Falls to unforgettable moments in New Orleans. Matt and Tyler met during their freshman year of high school among mutual friends, but have been extremely close friends over the years. Matt and Tyler bond over their interests in electronic music (especially Madeon and Porter Robinson), cars, and technology. Matt’s interests and hobbies don’t stop there - he has many more interests including attending the latest music festivals, DJing, racing sports, and space exploration.

Ashley Miller

Ash has been Stephanie’s steadfast best friend since they were 16 years old, a bond sparked in English class over their shared Celtic heritage. When Stephanie recognized the Celtic symbol around Ashley’s neck, it was the start of an inseparable friendship. From navigating the awkward teenage years—heartbreaks, cringe-worthy dates, and personal challenges—to becoming each other’s anchor in the chaos of life, Ashley and Stephanie have always been there for one another. Their friendship deepened as they attended ODU together, sharing identical majors and minors, exploring who they were both as individuals and as a team. From supernatural shows and book club discussions to traveling and their mutual love for *Harry Potter* and wine, they’ve built a lifetime of shared passions and adventures. Ashley’s unwavering support has fueled Stephanie’s dreams, and her vibrant, optimistic spirit has been a guiding light through every challenge. Ashley is the orange cat to Stephanie’s black cat, the Caroline Forbes to her Elena Gilbert, and a constant reminder of how to be a better friend and person. Jake and Tyler first met when they both worked at a local smoothie and gelato shop in Norfolk, VA when Tyler was attending Old Dominion University. They soon bonded over their love of comic books and skim boarding and have been close friends ever since. Jake currently attends ODU as an Environmental Science major. Jake enjoys a good grill out, days at the beach, and a good drink in his hand. He lives life to the fullest with his wife, Janel, and their daughter Elisa.

Jeni Hipple

Jeni is Stephanie’s second oldest sister, a pillar of strength, resilience, and inspiration in her life. With a deep love for horses and caring for animals, Jeni’s nurturing spirit shines brightly in every aspect of her life. She is currently pursuing a career in nursing, all while being an amazing mother to her beautiful baby girl, Riley. Stephanie and Jeni share a bond full of laughter and unforgettable memories. From countless sleepovers filled with fashion shows, gossip about crushes, and late-night giggles, to the moment in 2008 when Jeni *forced* Stephanie to see *Twilight,* unknowingly creating a “Twilight Monster.” Thanks to Jeni, Stephanie fell in love with the series, which ultimately inspired her to pursue her dream of becoming an author. Their sisterhood has been marked by countless adventures—soaking up the sun on the river, jet skiing and tubing, skiing down mountains that seemed impossible, and sharing an equal obsession with *The Vampire Diaries* alongside Ellen. Through it all, Jeni has taught Stephanie the importance of self-love, cherishing life’s little moments, and persevering through life’s challenges. Fred Drascic

Tyler first met Fred in Michigan where they both attended graduate school at Grand Valley State University, where their first semester paired them up with the exact same class schedule. They became fast friends over their love for hiking, the outdoors, and the western part of the United States. Fred is a native of Wisconsin (yes he loves cheese), and currently works as a Project Leader for Oregon Fish and Wildlife. When not doing cool fisheries science, you can easily find him hiking and camping in the backcountry of the west.

Monica King

Monica is a whirlwind of energy, laughter, and love—a mother, wife, friend, and proud “crazy Spaniard.” When Monica and Stephanie met during Stephanie’s junior year of high school, it was as if they had known each other their entire lives. The connection was instant, full of warmth and positivity. Stephanie affectionately calls Monica her "birthday sister," as Monica is exactly six months older to the day. When these two are together, sleep is out of the question. Their nights are filled with endless conversations, booming laughter, and boundless excitement about anything and everything. So much so that Stephanie's mom often had to remind them to quiet down when she had work the next morning. Monica and Stephanie share a love of books and gardening, and their friendship thrives on their mutual admiration and respect. Monica’s electric energy is contagious, and her confidence and self-respect are qualities Stephanie deeply admires. Stephanie treasures everything about their bond and is endlessly grateful for the joy and inspiration Monica brings to her life.

Alex McGinnis

Alex met Tyler through Stephanie when they all attended ODU in 2015, and became fast friends through ODU’s ghost hunting club and their interests in metal music. Alex is involved in the business of music management in Nashville, where he currently works at One RPM and manages some of the biggest names in music. Alex enjoys riding his motorcycle, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, watching wrestling, ghost hunting, and anything to do with Halloween (especially haunted houses).

Kaitlyn Barrowcliff

Kaitlyn and Stephanie met during The Haunt at Kings Dominion in the club ODGH at Old Dominion University, instantly bonding over their love for the spooky and supernatural. From that moment on, they became partners in crime, chasing ghosts and thrills across haunted hospitals and abandoned buildings like the fearless (and slightly crazy) white girls they are, and laughing and contaminating the audio as much as possible! Their Thursday nights were often spent at The Banque, dancing until their feet hurt, lost in music and laughter. But beyond the late nights and haunted road trips, their friendship has been built on adventure and shared dreams. They love hiking through nature’s beauty, hunting for crystals with a belief in their magic, soaking up the sun on beach trips, and indulging in brunch dates that turn into hours of talking and planning travels they swear they’ll make happen. Kaitlyn isn’t just a friend—she’s one of the best people Stephanie ever had the privilege of keeping in her life. She constantly goes above and beyond for Stephanie, making her feel like the luckiest person alive, even when Stephanie wonder if she deserves someone as incredible as Kaitlyn. Every day, Stephanie is grateful to have Kaitlyn by her side, making life brighter, wilder, and so much more fun.

Meghan Harman

Meghan is not just Tyler’s sister but also Stephanie’s future sister-in-law and honorary little sister for nearly a decade. Watching Meghan grow into the beautiful, strong, and amazing young woman she is today has been one of Stephanie’s greatest joys. Meghan and Stephanie share a special bond filled with laughter, fun, and shared passions. Whether it’s talking about boys, exploring spirituality, swapping fashion and makeup tips, or sipping on their favorite Starbucks drinks, Meghan and Stephanie always find something to connect over. They’re also known for teaming up to lovingly tease Tyler, making their duo dynamic full of playful camaraderie. Meghan’s resilience and kind soul are traits Stephanie deeply admires, as is her incredible eye for design. Currently studying Interior Design in college, Meghan is already proving her talent in creating beautiful and inspiring spaces. Stephanie is endlessly proud of Meghan’s journey and is excited for the future they’ll share as family.
