I’d marry you with paper rings

Their love story started on the campus of Old Dominion University in the late summer of 2014. Even before their first date at the Virginia Zoo, Stephanie and Tyler had an undeniable connection. It was like hearing the lyrics to a song they'd known their whole lives but only heard it play for the first time. As time moved forward, the invisible string that tied their souls together tightened. With their mutual love for Marvel, the great outdoors, caring attitude towards the environment and animals, and much, much more, they had found their person to spend the rest of time with. They have gone on to travel more of the world than an average person, from Paris to Iceland, from haunted hospitals in Tennessee to the blissful city of Seattle. In 2017, their little family grew with the addition of their first ‘child’, Bellatrix, the best black cat to exist. Their relationship would be put to the test through different trials such as a brain tumor surgery in 2017, periods of long-distance when Tyler moved to Michigan in 2018 for graduate school, and again when Stephanie furthered her education by moving to Scotland for graduate school in 2020. Ultimately, their love persisted; the invisible string growing longer, but never breaking. They constantly support each other to achieve their dreams, ebbing and flowing in the direction life chooses to drift them. With their careers just beginning, they are excited to start the next phase of their lives together.
