Cost: ~$120/person The link to book is and see what they offer is: https://anordicspa.com Hydrotherapy will get you access to the main center which is what we plan to do Some things to note: -You gain all day access to the spa, but you can't come and go -They have food -There are no phones allowed when inside so give us a heads up if you're joining! However, please make sure that you call to book rather than booking online so that you can ask to be seated on the same boat as us. If asked when booking, our confirmation number is: 343655 Whittier can be tricky to access, plan to be at the 10:30am tunnel entering Whittier to make sure you don't miss the boat! Following the cruise, we plan to return back to our Airbnb in Girdwood for the evening.
8:00 am - 12:00 pm
We will leave Girdwood in the morning and head to Seward for the day. Our plan will be to start with a hike around Exit Glacier. There are two great options for this hike to try to ensure it is accessible to everyone who is interested. We will be on trails the whole time. No glacier gear is needed for either option. The trails will be melted out by August and both options have the same start point. The easier option: A 2 mile loop with 450ft of elevation gain that skirts the edge of the glacier. The harder option: ~9.5 mile out and back with ~3,000ft of elevation gain that gives expansive views of the Harding Icefield and Exit Glacier. See "AK Recommendations" tab for some other activities in Seward if don't want to spend the day on a hike, there's a lot of options! After the glacier, we'll plan to hang in town for a while and eventually head back to stay at the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge for the night. See lodging options in Cooper Landing in the "AK Recommendations" tab.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
There's tons to do out of Cooper Landing around the Kenai River. See "AK Recommendations" tab for suggestions. We have this as an open day for ourselves, but may end up fishing or white water rafting. We will update with details as we know more! Bring bear spray with pretty much any activity in this area! We'll make the rest of the drive to Homer in the late afternoon and will stay there through the end of the weekend. We are staying at the Land's End on Thursday, and at the campsite Friday and Saturday. See our "AK Recommendations" tab for Homer lodging suggestions.
6:00 am - 5:00 pm
We plan to take an early water taxi across the Bay to Kachemak Bay State Park and hike around some of the trails there. The route we do may be a bit strenuous with significant elevation gain. Our friends who would be interested in this know who they are and should join! Send a text if your coming for logistics and route details. There are also ferries that go to a small town, Seldovia, which is a nice place to spend a morning or afternoon if you just want to ride the ferry with us. Other options for ways to spend your day in Homer are in our "AK Recommendations" tab.
