Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will provide a shuttle to and from the location with pickup in an area with hotels (about 30 minutes away). The pick up is at 2PM in the parking lot of the Seacliff Inn. If you need transportation, we have already discussed this, if we have not, please let us know so we can make sure you have space!

Question

Dress code?

Answer

Brightly colored, moody, romantic, gold/silver, velvet, chiffon, satin, sequins, teal and pink, disco. Booties and thick heeled shoes or flats are more than welcome here- you may need to want around the property. The ground is uneven and is earthen in some locations. Don't forget a sweater or coordinated warm shall, coat— “fur”/fuzzy coats welcome. Don’t worry about out shining us! We want our guest to be a part of the art 🖼️ see our wedding mood board for ideas- or that exact outfit 😅🪩🤟 https://pin.it/10p8U5S. Of course, if you prefer traditional, that is fine too! Suits welcome, we want you to be comfortable. It is March in the mountains of Santa Cruz, so please make sure to dress warm. Also, *fingers crossed*, we do not know if it will rain then, but it could. Temperatures are usually 65 in the afternoon and lower at night. We will try to keep everyone warm and cozy!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Let us know in your RSVP or directly, please. We will do everything we can to accommodate!

Question

Can I smoke at the property?

Answer

This is an active Tibetan Buddhist property, and there is no smoking of *anything* on the property. This includes vaping, cigarettes, and anything else! This is a non-negotiable item with the location, it is cultural to them. If anyone is smoking, we will be charged $250 *per infraction* and they will be very upset with us! If you do feel the need, we suggest gum or a nicotine patch while on the property for the ceremony. If you do need to smoke at some point, you will have to drive off the property (not just at the road) to do so. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Tell me more about the lodging

Answer

This is a Buddhist retreat center, and the lodging reflects this. These are not hotel rooms, many have communal bathrooms, and some are only are accessible via a forest path. Most have at least a queen bed, and many also have bunk beds as well in the same room (we will only add as many people as makes sense per room, of course). This may or may not be great for your needs, and we understand either way. We want everyone to be comfortable. If possible, we would love to have you onsite! We will accommodate as many as possible onsite, and supply transportation information once we get a better picture of who is coming.
