Question

I celebrated too hard and now I need coffee! Any suggestions?

Answer

Yes! We love our coffee and Milwaukee has some great spots. Locals go crazy over Collectivo, a local chain that can be found anywhere. If you want a lake view stop by the one on the Lakefront. Our personal favorite is Anodyne coffee, but Stone Creek is also a great option. We love supporting local favorites. If you want more breakfast options, head to Fuel Café downtown.

Question

My favorite part of travel is the eating! What are some can't be missed spots?

Answer

Breakfast- We loved Comet Cafe (which recently reopened). It was one of the first local restaurants we fell in love with. Fuel Cafe also has great breakfast options, and Oak Barrel does a great mimosa brunch! If you love Bloody Mary's (Jeremy's favorite), then head over to Sobleman's or the Wicked Hop. Fun fact: all Milwaukee bloody Mary's are served with a Miller Lite chaser! Lunch: If you can only eat in one place during your visit, make it Bavette La Boucharie in the Third Ward. This was by far our favorite place to eat, and we just loved their local butcher concept, their sandwich's are chef's kiss! The Public Market is nearby if you want more variety, and want to check out a taste of local establishments. If you only have a quick chance to eat, Bel Air tacos were our favorite quick bite. Dinner: You might be spending evenings with the bride and groom, however, if you have time we love the following: The Rumpus Room, Balzac, La Masa, or Milwaukee Brat House.

Question

I hear Milwaukee is famous for the beer and Old Fashions. Where should I head?

Answer

1). Lakefront Brewery, you can grab a pint on the river, and they have a great Friday Fish Fry. 2). Bavarian-an authentic German beer house, try the brats! 3). Camp Bar-we are getting married upstairs, but great cozy vibe. 4). County Clare Inn-Sit by the fire and enjoy the Root Soup, or just get a pint of Gueness. 5). Wolski's-Again, you haven't experienced Milwaukee until you have closed Wolski's 6). Metro Market- we couldn't make a drink list without including the local grocery store in Shorewood. They have $3 beers, all local, and it was honestly our favorite pastime during those freezing winter days.

Question

This is a daytime wedding, remind me of the dress code?

Answer

We want our guest to be comfortable, so we say daytime cocktail attire is best. Think fabulous garden party. :) Check the weather, because in the Midwest it could change in 20 minutes!

Question

Are kids welcome at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

While we love all the little ones in our community, the ceremony and reception are strictly 21 and up! Most activities over the weekend are 21 and up as well. We hope all of the parents can find arrangements for childcare so you can just enjoy some adult fun for the weekend!
