Savannah and Jaris met in 2011 in Syracuse, NY. Savannah was a graduate student at Syracuse University and Jaris was a Resident Director. They met through a mutual friend, Cory. On a night out with Cory's and Savannah's friends, Jaris and Savannah spent the entire night comparing sports injuries and discussing who was a better team: the Buffalo Bills or the New England Patriots. Savannah and Jaris have both since seen the light and now support Kaepernick and are boycotting the NFL. A few days after their third or second meeting, Jaris asked Savannah if she was single, then when hugging goodbye, broke Savannah's necklace. Later that night, Savannah messaged him on Facebook and they continued to chat over the next few days. Eventually Jaris asked for "Jaris and Savannah time," which resulted in a night of fine dining at the local Red Lobster (thank you chedda' bay biscuits). One date turned into many dates over ice cream, Jaris falling asleep on Savannah's lap during movie nights and Savannah lugging Jaris through various hikes in Central New York. The rest is their-story (depending on who you ask...there are two versions of the "truth").
