If you're not planning on driving much or at all over the weekend, rideshare apps are a great option. There are plenty of Lyft and Uber drivers in Atlanta. Train
MARTA is the train and bus public transit system in Atlanta/Decatur. The train is pretty easy to use -- just buy a ticket at any of the stops. You can also park at some of the stops further out and take the train into the city, or vice versa (see map and stations with parking here: https://martaguide.com/rail-station-map/). If you're staying in Decatur, there is a stop in the downtown square. This is a good option if you're trying to check out downtown Atlanta during the day but don't want to worry about parking. The train also runs to the airport on the red and gold lines. Ask us if you have questions!
